    I like that advice. Don't let a client bully you. You're the professional. There are red and orange undertones in brown hair. There's literally no way around that. 🤦🏽‍♀️

    • @jadebergamini3981

      'Don't let a client bully you' ....Hmm thats a really weird thing to say. This lady said the client agreed to everything the whole time, no bullying going on here... And also just because the client doesn't trust your judgement right away, doesn't mean they are 'bullying you', they are allowed to have hesitation when they are the ones paying for the service.

    It’s pretty what u do. Hair is important to a lot of people so taking the risk of going to a hairdresser can seem iffy. I’m wanting to grow my hair to tail bone length. I’m almost to waist length, started with a pixie cut like 2 years ago. I bleached my hair and put box dye in it. It’s faded, my roots have grown out so hopefully with what I have learned from your videos will help me. But I will not be going back to hairdressers. I’ve had some good, some bad experiences. I just don’t wanna take that risk anymore. So I’d rather do it myself, good thing there’s videos on here educating people so they’re less likely to mess up their hair. Thank u 😁

  • @0015Lili
    @0015Lili ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I'm interested what happens when the hair starts to fade eventually. For example 1-2 months later, before the next appointment. Will the orange pigments become visible in this case or the hair remains brown? Thank you for the answear.

    • @MaxineGlynn
      @MaxineGlynn  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hair remains brown just dulled out a bit possibly light hints of warmth coming through but at that point its good to refresh with a glaze to richen it up again and add shine

    I've asked this before, but I still don't get it - HOW do her natural level 4 roots not get lifted to an unwanted warm orange tone due to using the level 6 / 7 colour on them!? Even ash colours bleach my neutral hair if they're lighter than my pre-existing level!

    • @beccadevillier8895
      @beccadevillier8895 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      She used a demi permanent color which does not lift. Permanent colors lift and deposit sometimes resulting in unwanted warm tones at the roots.

    • @jenniferford2067
      @jenniferford2067 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Demi permanent with a level 10 developer isn’t going to lift noticeably. It’s not bleach or high lift permanent color, it’s just enough power to deposit.

    Okay so I have a big colour correction. She is warm natural red head with base 6 hair. She has prelightened her hair unevenly upto 10. She want to get rid of the ginger and have more of a balayage affect. So I'm thinking reverse balayage. 6.1 demi or even a 5.1 with 6 vol for her natural. I'm hoping this will make it more neutral. Not sure how to best fill and blend. Because if I fill with a copper gold my worry it will still be coppery after I put another brown on after. And the application just seems to complicated.

I used 6RR Chiionic shades Red crimson to fill hair in. I dried her hair and I still see a lot of hair strands a level 10. Do you think I should go back and apply more with a 10% developer. I understand completely where it’s coming from, but just a comment that warm toned hair (which many brunettes have) is beautiful. I understand that orange tones when going blonde worry people, but the copper toned fill was a beautiful ginger color and a brown with warmth left would look gorgeous on many brunettes.
    This client clearly had slightly ashier roots so the color you got to is beautiful, but the descriptions and adjectives used to refer to orange and/or warm toned hair are all very negative.
    If I were a client looking for fill information and I had warm toned hair I would be somewhat put off by the idea that beautiful shiny reflective warmth in the hair is perceived as ugly in your chair.

    • @MaxineGlynn

      Sometimes you can but definitely not in this case and not if your goal is a level 5. In those cases you would have to do a colorfill separately to get the best results. I do have a video posted on my channel of an instance where that did work well with the goal
