I couldn't help but read "Moon Byul chosen for Romantic Drama" In her news head line and I was like... Is she telling us something? Like We getting a full Moon Byul drama? Cause she's ABSOLUTELY the type to release news of it IN a music video background somewhere.
oh~, thanks for your reaction, i like your analysis, BTW, moonbyul has taken part in a survival variety sport show call " kick a goal "in 2022, in which she was trained (Having her comeback promotion and soccer training at the same time, it's hard ) and completed as a member of a football team consists of actors/singers against other team.
Nice Reaction! 👍 Moon Byul is great. This song is right up my alley. Sadly this was overshadowed by YOUNG POSSE's ATE THAT (SOTY btw) which droped on the same day. But so I get to watch Moon Byul, NMIXX, YOUNG POSSE, Lightsum & fromis_9 (with the 2nd win today 🥳) on the daily music shows. ❤
It is! Oh wait, it wasn't a question 😅Can't blame you at the start, our amazing Moonstar is something else and all her looks fit her so well. I wouldn't survive an encounter, I'd feel so uncool. It's a pretty fun song, bit of an odd beat there at some point but it makes it special and overall it's very much her style from Starlit of Muse, which this album called Starlit of Twinkle is a repackage of, the longer version is vinyl only. Can I petition for Moonbyul to give the news and weather here too? Oh and yes it's the Mamamoo lightstick, the famous radish!
The repackage album is called Starlit of Twinkle. The twinkle is a play on her name and her fanbase name (shooting stars). Thanks for reacting to Moonbyul's latest comeback. Please do more Moonbyul reactions. She's had two comebacks this year and every song on both albums deserve an award
Hi & hello! Great reaction as always. Ms. Moonbyul always surprises me a bit when she shows her lighter side in solos. She showed a similar pop spirit in the recent Cheese in the Trap and, more preferable to me, a slightly darker version in Lunatic. My preference for that second track is the performance video, but in grabbing the links I saw some nice visual humour in the MV so I'll link to both here: MV: th-cam.com/video/l-fZh5Maq0k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pT5ra2nz7I-EjQfx Performance video: th-cam.com/video/Z5I3Vf4nveI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6IMJxEkpxt0qWXIn C.I.I.T.: th-cam.com/video/xf3OzncHmfE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=hg4A2l5gmu3uNFSb Moonbyul has done some much more serious solo work, which I'll let someone else post about, but her poppy-pop-pop solos go all the way back to six years ago (in TH-cam time) where she posted Selfish featuring a young friend in the industry named Seulgi. The track is a piece of fluff but still makes me smile to this day. th-cam.com/video/QG8bUKBT9FI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AyLUN6wqe3IYJi4B Yes, the lightstick is for Mamamoo. The fandom is called Moomoo(s) and the korean character mu(?) means radish (or turnip) leading to a very distinct lightstick. Anyway, this was enjoyable and it's good to see her enjoy herself as well. She has the talent and power in the industry to make the kind of music she wants, and this is a side we don't always get to see. Thanks again for your energy and your insight and I agree it might just be about her...
@@ianfinitive I can definitely appreciate that across the 3 solo things I've seen it hers she is clearly comfortable with a variety of sounds. I think all of these have been pretty upbeat so I'd be interested in what she's like with a darker/serious concept too. MAMAMOO looms large over my to do list 😭
@@ChainReactionsChannelThere are four other tracks that spring to mind, ranging from rap to r&b romantic. I’ll pull together the links when I’m back at a larger screen. On the subject of the promotional bits in the video I think it’s a) funny b) a poke at the whole entertainment system and society and c) a poke at k-pop more specifically. There was a lot of promo work in 3rd gen, i think because it was a way to fund MVs before TH-cam views provided advertising. You’ll see this in particular as you go through Twice’s early work and, indeed, both Itzy and NMIXX’s debuts had sponsorship. Twice in the early days was so closely associated with energy/water brand Pocari Sweat that I remember one reactor holding and squeezing two empty bottles in the absence of a lightstick to wave around-too funny. 😂😂😂
You should check out her B-sides. Example in Starlit if Muse (full album) Dark Romance is like an upgraded version of her song Eclipse in my opinion @@ChainReactionsChannel
@@kristenblack6026 It is my great shame. 😩 I have not yet gotten to any MAMAMOO group stuff, only solos for all of them. (unless there's more than 4 members but I think it's 4)
@@ChainReactionsChannel You truly won't regret their Killing Voice. They literally invented it. There used to only be Killing Verse for rap. Then Solar said hey Dingo, why not let us on to do our killing parts too? And no one is going to turn Mamamoo down so . . . we owe the whole thing to them. And they sure as hell killed it.
Haha! I think the chasing through the mall could be referencing a show called Running Man where celebs chase each other in a mall. I’ve never watched a whole episode so I don’t really understand the premise, but I’ve seen clips and it is weird, but entertaining. I’m pretty sure it’s been on the air for years because I’ve seen clips of EXO on it when they were practically babies. Also Minho from Shinee practically mowing down members of Girls Generation because he’s hyper competitive. 😂
The whole MV is just a parody on TV/cable programs acted by herself. She has removed herself from that question by saying she didn't participate in writing this song so it isn't remotely related to her. She has referenced "Moon" one way or another in her older projects then switched to "Star" for her full album and this repackage.
@@bretthollingsworth9866 hey! Yeah there's definitely a place for it and I will always appreciate anything with some energy personality, and 3 minutes of runtime 😆
