Cigar & pipe tobacco smoking were seen as less harmful to the smoker, hence why they were shown until the early 1990s, when passive smoking was taken much more seriously. TV cigarette ads had been banned in the mid-1960s, as health implications were seen as much more serious.
continue . the more wierd ones were an blue print guy going on about an toshiba fst that got parodied by alexi sayle . and the scotch vhs advert featuring archie the skelleton voiced by deryck guyler and the tune was an rift on the buddy holly song not fade away that later on by the rolling stones .

Scare factor for me = terrifying. A friend presented me with a cannabis joint on the night I first saw this advert. Nepalese Templeballs, he called the stuff. It must have been 1983, definitely April. On my own, I had a smoke and immediately started to hallucinate and sink into the sofa. When I came up for air this advert started and I was convinced my mind was making it up. I was that terrified I was actually going to wake my mum up to fetch me an ambulance. Never again.
Tim Goodwin In September 2018, he posted a review on the ITV 60th Anniversary Finale Presentation without realising it was a mock! So you got your wish earlier than you thought. By the way, I've subscribed to your channel.

This commercial with Dalek was unexpected. I like it.
I thought I’d dreamed this! I was always slightly freaked out by Hamlet ads. Thank you for unearthing this unsettling relic!

The only thing that you did not mention is that this commercial was made by Lambie-Nairn/
Hey!
Have a good week yourself, Adam.
Have you considered doing a review on mock idents as the channel 5 ident you show frequently is a mock
Tim Goodwin In September 2018, he posted a review on the ITV 60th Anniversary Finale Presentation without realising it was a mock! So you got your wish earlier than you thought. By the way, I've subscribed to your channel.
The Hamlet Robots could have been a follow on from Bjork's All Is Full Of Love promo!
Do you think this was operation for channel 4's current astetic.
Correction:
The "mole" you mentioned is actually just another part of the nose.
I think the pink bit is supposed to be a nostril
I was thinking the same as you on that.
Thats the ending check
Hey, Adam, why was ch4 was made from IBA
3:32
Thank you
3:01 they predicted Chanel 5
That was the year CountDown started
Countdown was the first show aired
Countdown is a channel 4 program
It was a Channel 4 idea to start the new channel off
@@JennyAnnTea to quote the first famous words ever said on channel 4
As one countdown as end a brand new one as just begin (Richard Whiteley)
Well, maybe Channel 5 got it's name due to this advert. Dunno.
Of course they didn't
HAMLET STILL EXISTS... MY COUSIN GETS HAMLET!
