I love JCPenney I used to work there and there's just something about a department store that feels so Christmassy lol I love the tree where it is, when you first walk in you won't see the fireplace, but the tree won't be hidden and then when you go past the tree there is even more holiday cuteness!
It is to crampt next to the fireplace hou should swap the lader and tree arround 😊 so everything has more air. And to make the tree skirt look more fluffy put emty plastic bags under it.
Get a stick or something like a stick to stabilize the star so it stands up (that's what I had to do one year) and then I used pipe cleaners or wire to hold the stick to the tree
I think the garland is so beautiful on your mantle! The red and white pom poms are adorable, but look a bit too crowded hanging there. Just my thoughts ☺️
