My life changed too when I started doing this and putting money in stocks. The first few years it as really great, but this year I haven't felt like my portfolio is doing well. I have lost more than $40,000 from my portfolio the past four months, and it's now very worrisome.

The year has been really rough for everybody. But I've been able to cushion the effect though. Have you thought of using an investment advisor? They can make you good money especially during uncertain times like this.

Dear Jonathan, I got the accounting exam back today and it was 97%!!! I still can't believe what I just achieved. This was my very first time to study finance subject and also study abroad, which means doing accounting in English was incredibly challenging to me. You not only saved my life, but also gave me confidence and taught me how important to go block by block. I am so lucky to have a teacher like you. Thank you sooo much Jonathan!! DCADELER forever!!!

Hey everyone who is in the comments section. I made this video over 3 years ago. And while the information is still the same. This was one of my first videos i ever made and a bit cringy. I had about 100 subscribers and 10 videos when i made this video. October 2018 im closing in on 70k subscribers and 350 videos. DC ADE LER has helped thousands of people with Accounting in the past 3 years. I say all this to possibly give some of my later accounting videos a chance for less cringe.

I will add that many folks confuse accounting with “counting” or math in general. Let’s get one thing straight, you don’t have to be good at math to succeed in accounting. We rely on calculators and Excel sheets to do the math :)

Hey man, I just want to let you know how much I appreciate these videos! I just got my first job out of college working for Federal Government in bank regulation, and I hardly took any accounting in college. I have to pass this scary accounting assessment and your videos have helped me out soooooooo much! These helped me more than the books, studying, and professional accountants they brought in to teach us. You saved my bank account, job, income, but perhaps more than anything you gave society a much better federal regulator. People put a lot of trust in banks; they put a lot of money in there. Because of you, citizens can be more confident they got a qualified government worker keeping their money safe. I appreciate the energy, humor (especially the reoccurring "ya boys gettin jacked"), and helpfulness. Even the inspirational stuff you put in there helps me get through the day. Keep up the good work man, you're a hero!

I just wanted to say that I watched so many of your videos and I appreciate all the time you put into these videos. I really struggle with accounting and had so many of the same issues that you mentioned you had early on. My teachers made no sense and I was about to give up. You make sense and teach very well! Thank you so much. When I pass, it will be because of these videos.

For anyone taking Intro to Accounting (aka Principles of Accounting, Accounting Foundations, etc.), this is the best playlist on the Internet. I had a hell of a bad time with my book but CPA Strength and #DCADELER was what made it all click. I went from an accounting hater to passing the class to now considering getting a CPA license. Strength's grasp on the value of redundant communications (ie making sure everyone remembers DCADELER and accrued = no cash) is right up there with the best profs I've had in any subject. 13/10.

Thanks so much for sharing this. My brother is an accountant, and he graduated from Delaware State U. Also Temple. My other brother two colleges also for accounting/business, and my sister as well but for Psychology. I'm the youngest, and I am the one who's been more of the innovator, and who has never gone to college, but even as an innovator, there's a business side to it. I just searched "how to do accounting" just to see if people really teach like colleges do, and to overcome my fear of college courses. I've been intimidated since I didn't do well in high school. But that was years ago. You're video helped me see that college might not be so scary after all. Even when it comes to something major like Accounting. I think the teacher makes a big difference when it comes to learning anything. Bad teaching affected my learning growing up. You're teaching was so easy, bro, I appreciate you! You did a great job!!!!

I just wanted to tell you, in all sincerity, thank you for taking time out of your day/life to create these videos. I want to thank you sir from the bottom of my heart! I've taken accounting courses but they never explained it like this. Yesterday during my job interview the manager asked me a few accounting questions and this popped up on his quiz and I got it right! Thank you so much :D I got the job!!

@Eric Roman The kid is 14 years old and you're going to judge him on a stupid picture?
The swastika was created well before his time and the fact that you, a fully grown adult could make mean spirited comments about a kid that's just trying to learn things is just disgusting.
With his attitude towards learning, that kid might go on to do great things.
I think you need to take a good hard look at yourself Eric and maybe try to learn to show a little respect while you're at it.

debits and credits has also annoyed me.I always thought when we owe to someone else then we are debtors and when someone else owes to us then we are creditors!debit section has assets and credit section has liabilities!so, the land, building items and cars are debits and bank loans, overdraft are credits vice versa! why?
