    Hello there, I have been enjoying your videos and wondered if you could help me with a question about creating a frame around a particular area on a drawings and only print within that frame. Can you direct me to a video that does that? Thank you and keep up the great job.

    • @DesignItGreen
      @DesignItGreen  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I think you can play around with the export settings and scale to change the window and desired area, you could also put all of that information and border on a specific layer and then just export that layer with the desired extents. I currently don't have an example of this on my channel, but it definitely can be done!

  • @bew7755

    I would be interested in you sharing how you set up a drawing with a custom title block with viewports that are to scale. I am a veteran CAD and Adobe user and am trying to wrap my head around how to set up a sheet in Morpholio.

    • @DesignItGreen
      @DesignItGreen  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good suggestion, I've never used Morpholio in such a formal matter with a title block and to scale viewports... I'm not sure if that is even possible to set up in the way that CAD works. I'll have to look into that!

    • @DesignItGreen
      @DesignItGreen  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am pretty sure you can as long as you set up the paper size of the drawing... are you sure you are drawing on the correct paper size sheet you are trying to print?

    • @GetaWinberg
      @GetaWinberg ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DesignItGreen hi thanks for getting back to me. I’ll check that. I know when i went to print it i set the page size but i am not sure I set it up like that to start the drawing. I’ll look into it I wasnt aware i could set that up first. I used the custom tab to start it and figure it was there i needed to do that ? I’ll check it out

    • @GetaWinberg
      @GetaWinberg ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just checked, for sure i did setup the size of the paper i would print out to. So more investigating is needed.

      @@DesignItGreen Thanks, I do think I figured out my issue. When I send the file to my sister who has a newer printer it prints to scale perfectly, i think my printer is just too old and I have no way to upload new drivers etc.. I think I just need a newer printer mine is easily over 10-12 yrs old

    What is the biggest competitor for it?

    • @DesignItGreen
      @DesignItGreen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No problem! The biggest competitor is definitely Procreate, that has been the king of sketching apps for a while, the only thing Procreate is missing is some of the common tools we use as Architects like straight edges, triangles and dimensional tools

    • @DesignItGreen

      All you need to do is select the drawing instrument you would like and then use the scroll wheel inside the selection tool to select and define your specific line thickness!

    How do I draw beautiful curves quickly? without necessarily using the protractor

    • @DesignItGreen
      @DesignItGreen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! I have suggested to Morpholio that it would be great if they could introduce a setting or feature to help smooth your curves and lines automatically for you. I also asked about implementing a French curve tool that you could easily manipulate to make organic curves easier... so hopefully that comes in a new update!

  • @HadarsGrasp
    @HadarsGrasp ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How do you offset or otherwise get precise, even wall thickness?

    • @DesignItGreen
      @DesignItGreen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      unfortunately there is no offset tool here in Morpholio, the best way to do it would be the old fashioned way by setting a scale to your drawing, and using the ruler tool to evenly draw lines at a set distance apart!

    • @HadarsGrasp

    How do I get more fonts for the text? It doesn’t have anything similar to the “architectural lettering” font

    • @DesignItGreen
      @DesignItGreen  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      there should be an aA icon next to where you are typing and that's where you can change it, otherwise I don't believe you can import and fonts

    How can I make my lines have sharp instead of rounded edges?

    • @DesignItGreen
      @DesignItGreen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, there is currently no way to make the ends of the line sharp and pointy like you can do in Procreate, so the best alternative is to use the pencil tool and make the lines thinner and lighter at the ends and darker and thicker in the center! Hopefully that's a future update!

  • @miguelsoto2274

    Is morpholio like procreate?

    • @DesignItGreen
      @DesignItGreen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Certainly! But I would say procreate is better for sketching or purely organic drawings. Whereas Morpholio is better for more specific drawings within the field like sections,plans, and other drawings that require more precision
