    Thank you for educating people about SLS in toothpaste! All through my childhood and teenage years, I had terrible mouth sores that we thought were canker sores. It was so hard to eat and talk and even smile. Then my mother read something about SLS allergies in the newspaper and I switched to Sensodyne and I haven't had a problem for about twenty years now! Such an easy fix to make such a HUGE difference!

      These responses from Caroline and Steph are delightful to see. Ladies, I love your content. It is such honest advice. I can see how you would get along so well as to consider each other family. The LA group from the dinner, videos, and IG content seemed to be such a wonderful group of people genuinely enjoying each other’s company and opinions. Each video was wonderful to watch. I’m sure just about every subscriber wanted to be at that dinner joining in the fun.

    When I saw how well my head, hair & scalp did on SLS free products, I switched my body & teeth products for SLS free. I still do combat with my skin but not nearly so badly as before. Thx Caroline you're such a joy.

    Thank you so much for the information about the SLS! I've been having issues with itchiness and redness particularly around my nose. I'm now looking into this ingredient to see if it the cause! Currently checking all of my skincare and dental products! Thank you for the tip, and I hope this is the cause, because then Ill have an answer for this irritation that seems to never go away.

    I used to love Drunk Elephant products until the packaging kept breaking. It’s so cool and innovative, not to mention airtight, but once you’ve had three different products break and become unusable, you move on.....and in my case, I moved on to much more expensive versions. The only thing I still have is the Marula Oil. When I purchased mine it came in a bottle with a dropper. I’m hoping that hasn’t changed.
    Always love your videos, Caroline! Have a fabulous week.

    Hi Caroline, now that summer is kinda approaching could you do a vacation skincare post please? I’m always in two minds about when to cleanse in the evening. Atm I’ve just been avoiding wearing makeup for dinner for the most part because I don’t want to wash my face 3 times a day... (I’m on holiday atm so spend most of the day at the beach, that’s a lot of salt and spf) I feel like I’m making this more complicated than it needs to be.. but my skins breaking out anyway so woohoo

    I’ve looked forward to this video Caroline. Just shown me I’m a true devotee of everything you recommend. From the p50v which I bought in Paris which I love. (I just need to get to America to get my hands on the 1970 😭,and I’m waiting for Drunk Elephant to be sold here in the U.K.). Down to buying the Soaper Douper in Tesco, which all my family love.. Next on my list are the shampoos and conditioners. Going Superdrug this week! ..By the way when I had the pleasure of meeting you last week in Liverpool I asked about the dry patches next to my mouth. You said it could be my tooth paste. I stopped using it, and you was spot on. I started on sensodyne and my skin is problem free.
    When I told my family I was going to one of your events, they said be careful of meeting a hero because they can disappoint. Well I was on cloud 9 after meeting you. 😊

    Is there anything better than Drunk Elephant right now? I love everything I've tried with the exception of Umbra sunscreen. I'm sorry - the smell of that literally makes me gag. The C-Tango eye cream is amazing, and the marula oil is truly lovely. I was a die-hard fan of Josie Maran's argan oil for years, but marula is so much lighter and I believe, more nourishing than argan. Thanks for another great video, Caroline! xo

  • @Addleysmom
    @Addleysmom 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    All of the Drunk Elephant products are brilliant for me worth every dime of their cost for such extraordinary formulations that don’t contain a drop of fragrance or even fragrant plant oils. Their Marula oil is superior to the ordinary in every way as I picked up the ordinary one just to compare. I’d take the DE any day even if it were twice the price it is now. The bottle dropper is made to get every drop out. It just feels far superior to competitors I’ve found. But then again all their products are made with true care and concern from a creator who cares what ppl put on their skin and how her products are made in the world. A win all around!

Well, when I went to see which channels had new videos, I was unsubscribed from you, Steph, and AMR! I have no idea how that happened but maybe it was youtube?! I watched videos from all three channels last week, so it wasn't that I had subscribed and not watched for a while. The ASMR people were all still there. Just thought you would want to know because I know there have been issues with youtube policy lately.

Which one do you suggest for someone who’s been on roacutane in the past, but isn’t particularly sensitive and uses the peel pads regularly and how do you recommend adding it to a routine without overdoing the acids? I’ve seen two videos so far that have had reactions to the DE c tango eye cream. One got a bumpy rash and the other said is stung the skin around her eyes. Is there anything in the ingredients that some people could have sensitivity towards?

    Woah, think you’ve just cured my scabby gob, where 4 doctors an a dermatologist failed! SLS .. 😲😲😲😲. Your my hero, thanks Caroline. I have been taking all kinds of stuff , from bacterial infection rinses, thrush oral tablets, probiotics, anti biotics, steroid creams around my mouth.. ( I know) . Never really been loyal to a toothpaste and grab any, but realised its always worse when i switch brands, which is every time.. you summed up my symptoms in a couple of sentences.. 😲😲 Im going to buy sensodyne sls free tomorrow and pray you’ve solved the mystery iv had for at least 10 years 😍

    Caroline, please help if you can, post-op skin going crazy! I had migraine surgery 2 weeks ago (5 incisions in my hairline, 3 were stapled & 2 have stitches still) as well as septoplasty and I also have the same incision as blepharoplasty as they go in through the eyelid and forehead). Those stitches are out now too. They told me no skincare for two weeks ( all the years os getting my skin in balance out the window) and then to start gently for 2 more weeks... no retinol or strong acids. I have loads of products (mostly your recommendations) but don’t know how to properly ease back in. The first time I washed my face after two weeks… Last night… My skin was peeling like crazy from just my votary cloth and a very gentle cleanser! I went on to just use the Belif cream moisturizer. Today my skin is peeling even worse and seems dry, unhappy and totally out of balance. I am 51 and have normal to dry skin that typically never peels and less I’ve used Retin A (which is why I don’t use it). I don’t know whether to use my P 50 or any cereal at all. Essence? Toner? I am totally lost. Please help if you have a moment this bruised face would very much appreciate it.💕

    Hi Caroline, your link to the P50....I’m in the UK & I’ve never used it - what’s the difference between the choices on this link? I can’t see the 1970 (the year I was born 😃). Help please!

    I was intrigued by your thought process on mixing vitamin C with other acidic products during your sit down with Stephanie. I’m too afraid to use it with an acid, can you please clarify?

    "I would rather be alive with a good hip." and this is why I have followed you for years (among other fantastic reasons) ;) Btw I do the same with the granny mat and I am "only" 31, but really, that would just be a grimm way to go

    I too have a dodgy back, so baths are a no for me as well. I used that Original Source Mint & Tea Tree once (got given a sample when it first came out) and when it got on my “lady parts” it felt like they were on fire, so be warned! 😳

    Hey Caroline, love love love your channel. I’m the skin care lead at my local Sephora,and I was just curious if you’ve ever done a Lancôme brand review? And how you feel about the brand overall. I heard you mention your favorite oil and I wanted to make a couple suggestions that you may have never tried. Youth to the people came out with her new superfood oil and it’s amazing. But my all-time favorite oil is the one from Kora organics!

    Hi Caroline i’m interested in the illusion foundation but living out in the sticks on Anglesey in Wales I don’t really have anywhere to go to test the shade, currently using Clinique Even Better in Buff I was wondering if you could give me some advice on a good shade to pick to buy online I’m 60 have some red patches which the Clinique evens out nicely as it is quite yellow toned but I’m also quite fair skinned, sorry for the question it’s just if I buy something online and have to send it back it’s always a faff 😀

    Thank you for another awesome, informative video! Just curious what percentage of L-asorbic acid is in the Dr. Dennis Gross C plus Collagen cream. I’ve been using the SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic Serum but find it annoying tacky when I use for my AM routine and I feel like I look greasy. It was super expensive and got it in late March, but I’m not liking how it feels. I’ve been using Dr. Denis Gross retinol eye cream for a few months and see absolutely no change so wanna try C-Tango. Thank you again Caroline!👸🤟💜

      I don't think they give percentages...and if they do, they're often inaccurate to due several factors..

    Hi Caroline! I recently watched a video by a US dermatologist who addressed the issue of Retin-A and Differin and the like potentially bringing previously invisible sun damage in the deeper layers to the surface. I'd sincerely love to know your thoughts on that.
    I've noticed an increase in hyperpigmentation myself when using these, but then again I'm 62 so it could just be the natural progression. Tbh, I don't know what to think anymore, and I don't know if acids, vitamin C, niacinamide, retinols/oids are actually doing me personally any good. I've been "working on" my hyperpigmentation consistently for three years to no avail. I know it's quite possible that my skin is in better shape than it would be without these products, but I'm pretty disheartened by what I'm seeing.

      Holly D Hi Holly! It’s old pigmentation coming through and at your age it’s honesty to be expected. I’m sure you have a gorgeous skin! Please don’t worry. How’s the texture of the skin? The tone? X

    • @holly939
      @holly939 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Oh! What a lovely answer!Remember how you felt meeting Oprah? I'm having one of those moments! Thank you so much!
      In person I would cry, online apparently I exclaim!
      Tone and texture are excellent, actually - thank you for addressing those. I'm beginning to appreciate my skin as it is - I feel that for decades (!) I've done my best to prevent, eliminate and/or disguise what I perceived as flaws and now I really just want to enjoy and appreciate what I have. I will never be perfect, and "those who care don't matter and those who matter don't care."
      So Caroline, sincere and heartfelt thanks to you. You have shared so much with us all and today you have impacted my life for the better. I listened and heard, and your words will remain with me. I intend to carry what I've learned from you out into the world.
      Beyond your skincare advice that I will always appreciate, you have been kind. Many, many thanks and much love and gratitude.

    Hi Caroline,Hope you are well. I am in my mid fifties and am a bit of a late starter when it comes to taking skin care seriously. Not so much lazy just didn't have a clue. Fortunately I have never been a sun worshipper and although I am very fair skinned with freckles my skin seems to be relatively ok. I have found you after realising that it was about time to treat my skin better and I have enjoyed your videos very much; thank you, you are my go to person! Is there anything ( ingredients wise) that I should avoid? I have slight redness around my nose area and am prone to dark circles under my eyes which I try to remedy with concealer etc. Could you recommend a suitable regime to keep me on the straight and narrow please. I have recently started using the Body Shop Vitamin e range and their Vitamin C Skin Reviver which I love. Thank you so much in advance for any advice. Hope you are having a lovely week, best wishes, Jackie.

    Are the US shades of Hourglass different than the UK? Golden looks to be lighter than beige, but you said you used it with a tan?
    I tried Space NK and I was ‘matched’ to sand (not really sure it’s a good match) and I think my skin tone is darker than yours! I’m Beige 3 in Bobbi, so was expecting a beige in theirs too, but it was a really odd colour on me. 🤷🏻‍♀️
