Hi Andy ! Thanks for saving vidéo whit fisrt hay cut , all your équipement looking very good and high skill driver for those field. Good job everybody ! Thanks Andy for your time and everybody have a good day at the farm ! 🙋♂️
Hahaha... You and me both man get pinched for no DOT numbas on the door. Yet some guys drive all over creation with the plates off their passenger car on the road tractor and breeze right by the weigh station no problem at all
Thanks for the chopping video, appreciate it alot. I know loading trucks isn't easy. Loading sugar beet trucks weren't easy either. Depends on the driver.. Thanks for the video, Happy Farthers day to yo h U
I think if those guys used that new blade, they would not want to use the Degelman anymore. I pushed with a Degelman and had to get a new blade because the Magnum tractor when to hell. The Degelman did not fit the New Holland tractor so ended up getting the Grouser blade. Much better blade in my opinion. Seems to be a little more clearance room on the frame underneath.
never done anything with a chopper but did work with a combine and i ran the other way when the combine went down i have herd bad things about deleteing any diesel it throws everything off and if you get cought it is one hell of a fine

There's a dairy farm over in saint Albans not to far from where I live they mowed the field behind my uncle's farm and shortly after that they chopped it off and came in and no till planted corn after spreading manure. The same day they no till planted that field they also no till planted corn in out behind my place.
He acts like he's 20. Very mature . Great job to you and your Mrs. All your kids are so mature and hard working and not afraid to try doing anything because you're so supportive wether they succeed or fail.
Another great breakdown video! At some or what point would it make sense to either carry a manual hose press and some common hose and fittings on the army truck or set your hose press and supplies on a pallet that could be easily and quickly loaded into the army truck for field repairs? I'm thinking 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8 hose and 4 each straight 45* and 90* fittings plus a couple of hose splices, or whatever sizes are most common in your fleet. John Deere Jake might be the man to get some advice from about the most common hose sizes and fittings to carry. Back in my younger days as a forklift field service tech we carried a manual pump (Porta Power) hose crimper, hose and fittings for the 3 most popular/used hose sizes and fittings, you can't carry everything like you stated but the common stuff will save the day probably 75% of the time.
Yeah we have some of those but still would have had to wait until service truck got there…. Napa was on the way…cost us maybe 10 extra minutes and it’s done right
So last night I was removing my socks to shower after a day of small squares and I noticed the stark difference between my arms and my ankles. QUESTION FOR ANDY: How do you get the quintessential "FARMERS TAN" when you work in those spacious JOHN DEERE tractor cabs wearing long sleeves?
27:00 I lost track of sarge in there next to the chopper with his camo jacket on! Hope there are plenty of Pig Mats there off camera to soak up that oil. Gotta appease the environmentalists.
Paccar engines are not that great and do not delete any of these trucks that are newer than a 2020 you'll actually lose fuel milage and it creates as many problems as it solves because a lot of shops especially dealers won't do service work once they plug in thier laptop and find you're deleted. Simply because deleting is illegal and if they work and your caught later deleted they can be held responsible including fines
You just guessed at what the yield was, you had to watch every single thing all of the time, and you were worn out at the end of every day. And you might have had a catastrophic failure because you didn't know something was starting to fail until it was too late.
Andy you work too much you are also gettinger older, you have to give up more work. The chief operator needs time to make plans control what the employees do etc., you dont have time for anything if you are sitting the whole days on the chopper and corn planter.

No

How did farmers chop hay and corn in the old days without all this technology?
Farms were smaller 30-70 cows so smaller acers smaller equipment, and all mechanical nothing much electric like today
