technically speaking, this is just wrong, Gohans suffering wouldnt have ended even if the other realities didnt exist, he wasforced to watch from the afterlife what happens to his universe and then probably get deleted from it, in this universe he would feel it to the bone, but at least he wont feel like he cannot do anything, so if anything, this Gohan is lucky

You know... One of the idea of a movie-like DB story I have is that there's an alternate version of Goten in a similar destroyed world like Trunks, but instead of wanting to protect the world and hold on hope, this version of Goten fall into his nihilism due to his experience with human's worst trait in the apocalypse, making him similar to Goku Black in ideal but as human instead of god.
I have a theory about Goten. I was wondering if this is goten has future trunks in his timeline? Maybe the trunk's on Goten's timeline is the one with the pony tail and who attacked beerus in one of the videos.
Maybe in their timeline, trunks and goten or the last survivors from buu. And while goten full of anger, trunks learned to just accept and is trying to find goton and bring him back to his senses.
Another theory Goten kept his father's hairstyle to always remember him.
