I so loved this lady. I thought that Lari White was the most beautiful woman in all of Country Music in the 90's. Even over Shania Twain. Don't get me wrong I was a big Shania fan, but Lari White literally owned my heart! Every single one of her CD's was good enough that they could have easily been Multi-Platinum with better promotion. When "Don't Fence Me In" came out in 1996 I compared it with Shania's "The Woman In Me" CD and I felt it was every bit as good. Felt the same way about her next album "Stepping Stone" I thought it was just as good or even better then Shania's "Come On Over". Unfortunately, both were very poorly publicized and the marketing was extremely lackluster. Both album's only had one video? Are you kidding me? Most Country music fans never discovered how great these amazing albums were. "Wishes" was certified Gold in 1994 on the strength of just 3 singles, but it could have reached Platinum sales with another single or two. I still think that "If I'm Not Already Crazy" would have been a signature song for her and still getting significant airplay today. So many awesome songs she recorded and most of them that she wrote that could have been career blockbusters were never released as singles. She should have literally been about as big as anyone. Man, Lari was such a gorgeous woman with a voice that was literally unequaled by anyone. Power, expression, depth of feeling. The passion in her voice was so real and genuine. Plus she was a great song writer and musician. She was never a favorite of Country Radio programmers which I never understood. Clearly, they couldn't recognize great talent. The Gal should have had a bunch of Number 1 songs. She was so awesome! One of the most underrated and under pushed recording artists who ever lived.
I thought about “ that woman “ at the crossroads and her pickup truck today, too. I’m at a crossroads roads, too. And I’d like to meet somebody just like her. I didn’t know until now that she had passed
Only 18 comments here and a crummy 43 thousand views? That's so terribly depressing. This should have several million views at least. All of her Videos should have. She honestly didn't have many videos in comparison to allot of other artists. Why the record labels wouldn't want to show off such a gorgeous lady is beyond me? Two of her biggest songs "Ready Willing and Able" and "Spetting Stone" never had any Music videos. Both were Top 15 songs but could have probably at least been consensus Top 10 if not top 5 hits if she had a video for them. I just don't get it. She was so immensely talented. One of the most underrated artists ever. Never got a fair shake from stupid Country Radio. I don't know who was any more beautiful or had a better voice?
Hell's yeah to this song, and hell's yeah to Lari White, from a central Florida girl to a Central Florida girl! Edit Is she is really gone? Yes like 5 years ago, I think I knew but forgot. She lives on through her music. What a voice! My heart is hurting 💔
She played Bettina, the ranch girl of the last scene of "Cast away", starring Tom Hanks: th-cam.com/video/4aM1DjtaeF8/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=PasiJylh%C3%A4-Ollila RIP, Lari!
