Great song! Looking forward to your analysis..This song has a part 2 , The Quantum Enigma - Kingdom of Heaven part II, but I'm afraid that one did not make it on your list of Epica songs. It is one of my favourite Epica tracks but except for beeing the title track of their previous album it stayed a little bit under the radar. So if you find the time I would suggest to listen to that song. It has a beautiful ending as well.
@@ArvoR That sounds great...I've heard Mark say in an interview that there would be a track of 30 minutes on it. Don't know if he was serious though...maybe that's part 3
Ça c'est vraiment incroyable. La chanson "Kingdom of Heaven" est bien entendu comme le detour d'Universe, avec un magnificent explosion de crater entre l'homme et la nature. Extraordinairement imaginé et simplement beau. Pure beauté!
Hello. I recently came upon your channel, and I have very much enjoyed catching up on your videos this week. I am a long-time fan of Epica, and watching your reactions over the past few days has been an absolute joy. It's almost as if I've been able to hear them again for the first time, and rediscover what made me a fan in the first place, so thank you for that! Also, your analyses have been astute and deep and really fascinating, and through them I've picked up on things I had never considered before, giving me an even deeper appreciation for these songs than I already had. So I just wanted to say hello, thank you, and I'm looking forward to sharing the rest of this musical journey with you!
You are VERY welcome, and this why I do that in the first place. A lot of people "produce" music, and ... you have artists. Of course, they have to deal with the business aspect of it as well (they have to make a living, rightly so). But when that kind of great song... don't miss it! The words are the most underrated part of a song and I found something with time : with great songs, understanding the meaning multiply by ten their appreciation. You are most welcome ! And thanks for the encouragements!
For a long time, I have been a big fan of Prog, Hard Rock and in the "90, I began to appreciate Metal (bad reputation in the '80, when I was a drummer). In a way, I was always a bit late. BUT, great music is great music. And I find that in all genres. For me, great lyrics and great music is already a real treat. If I add great meaning, I am completely satisfied. That is pretty much what I find with EPICA, right now, and Nightwish before. This is what we will see with RUSH, as well. And I have very rare music I will introduce to my subscribers, in the next year... And I love it. This journey is such a treat!
@@GuylainPrince Have you covered Orphaned Land? They play prog metal and often their lyrics try to unify people from different religions and backgrounds all around the world. Amazing mucisians from Israel. "All is one" is a good introduction to the band.
Hello ronnie, I have listened to one song of them, and I truly liked it. I will go back, for sure! Do you know that I lead group in Israël and Palestine every year? Yup! That is part of my "job" !
That was a great reaction. I regret that I can't be on stream. I'm curious Your analise. It's very philosophic liryc about life, science, faith. For me energy of this three things are "connect". Take care about Yourself.
Guylain Prince peut être un jour quand le COVID vas partir, je vais aller pour une visit avec ma famille à Chambly et on pourrait se croiser en personne
Great song, one of Epica's greats. To my knowledge there is no proper 'live' version of it on youtube though, just fan cam footage with the studio music overlaid. Still nice, still looking forward to your reaction
I am an atheist. I have friends in the clergy, an argument i heard is that our shared capacity to observe and appreciate beauty is to them proof of there beliefs
@@GuylainPrince in the sense that nomatter how diverse and divergent our beliefs may be and how different we may be from eachother we all share the ability to detect and appreciate beauty in the world around us, they saw in that proof that we all share the divine spark. Something about the difference between a flower and a weed being just in our perception of beauty. More pertinent to this song, i think it s in part about how light, and thus beauty, trnscends any one interpretation or understanding of reality. Sure it is influenced by eastern thought but it resonates deep within all of us reguardless of culture religion or lack of it, the poetry and music of this song
Ok, thanks! Much clearer and I approve. I will say in my analysis that, as Christian, I do not believe everything being said there (reincarnation, God, etc.), but I admire and appreciate the questioning, the beauty, the quest...I love that song and feel connected to it in many ways. With the lyrics, the music and the meaning. Great comment!

What can I say this song is just a complete masterpiece....heavy and beautiful..and something that is hard to put my finger on..maybe magic..!!!
Agreed!
Wow encore merci pour cette belle découverte. La voix féminine extra...
De rien Dan! J'aime vraiment ce band, moi aussi. Et la chanteuse!

Can't help but wonder if the arrow of time indeed is limited to the future, and not like in DS9. 😊
Great question! Did you noticed the clocks? Only minutes pointers...
I think Francisco’s would have loved this
:-) Many of the things said here are very inspiring!
Many religions only one and the same GOD????
Yup! That is the songs says! In fact,it was the object of the whole album : "Divine Conspiracy" !
