There are two things I’m excited to see for myself. 1) the chip damage on deadly boomerang. If it’s anything like the demo it’s going to make for some really interesting strategic decisions. 2) are you able to parry heat smashes? If so the animation before it is thrown when in neutral positions basically acts like a giant neon “parry me” sign, (esp when your king vs Hwarang)
@@kan7176 Neutral is "press nothing" so in this case it's double tap forward and then wait a tiny bit to input the 2. If you're not familiar with these kind of inputs it'll take some time to get it consistently but once you get it down you'll do it without thinking about it ;)
I'm new to tekken,(competitive level sf and mk player) and have chosen king as my first character because I played him a lot in Tekken 3 when I was a kid... What is the punch, grab move? The punch kind of Looks like ff2, is it that into a grab command? Also, the "stone cold stunner" move, the stomach kick into grab, how is that done? I find great use in b2,4 which has similar properties. Thanks a ton in advance for any tech help, friends! Edit: I see someone else commented asking about the punch, for anyone else looking: it is apparently indeed FF, neutral 2, and a counter hit
I love how tekken 8 encourages and rewards more aggressive play style and hope it translates to high level fields as well. So tired of watching boring ass movement focused game play specially on pro scenes.
@@Kingsman63 yeah ;( last time i tried CNT i was able to do that even with the reverse arm slam combo and now both cant be chained to reverse special stretch
I am on a 30 win stream rn and the only time ibeven came close to losing was against that hypered up Dvl Jin (who ragequitted after trying to ra on me)

He did 2,1 and then it's FFn2 on CH so that the punch turns into a throw.

It's all in the move list. For the stunner you have to press 1+2 as f3 hits, the 1+2 needs to be delayed a little gotta practice the timing
