@@death24314just frame inputs are basically moves that have an extremely strict timing to get them to come out. You cant mash them. A true just frame means that you need to input it on the exact correct frame for it to work, though most just frame moves give 3 or so frames of leeway. This is all keeping in mind that the game runs at 60 frames per second so 3 frames is like 1/20th of a second

Definitely not. Really strong in early ranks where almost nobody respects frames. But he has arguably the worst block and whiff punishes in the game. So if your opponents not mashing no fun.
@@justintaylor8701clearly you never saw why steve was top tier in tekken 7, and he’s arguably worse at lower ranks because at low ranks people are gonna throw out launch punishable moves and steve can’t launch them. The reason steve was always good was because against good players you didn’t need the launcher because they don’t throw out launch punishable moves, and instead you use his long list of safe pokes and CH baits. Also his whiff punish isn’t even that bad, sonic fang is amazing at quickly whiff punishing at range, and qcf1 is amazing near the wall
@oliknight8897 steve kinda sucks in tekken 8 because if u want to whiff punish with sonic fang, it makes it go into HEAT mode and basically wastes it if u want to save it for later! Lots of his signature moves are heat engagers, so it's almost impossible for him to save it! Also alot of his CH game got nerfed, removed a move from his arsenal, removed the unblockable gaurd break from ext dck and nerfed a natural hit combo from flk 1d1 It seems like steve in t8, they want u to rush down and chip opponents health like a madman! When I mean chip, the grey health that u see, steve is possibly the best at doing it, but that's it...
My mans steve is NOT beginner friendly in tekken 8 and will not be winning anything in tekken world tour. Not being able to punish with launchers is crazy.
@@qballa2787 I redact my earlier statement as I have already become a better steve and understand the gameplan, his pressure is ridiculous. He has a guardbreak move and moves that guarantee follow ups without a counter hit at all. Steve is nasty

@@VDViktor in what way? Dude just uploads other people's actual skilled gameplay, at very least he can manage to link their shit.
NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH MAN, that steve was cooking... That lee was anything but undefeatable, hella flashy though
5:00 This is what I'm talking about with Steve, presure, footwork, this character in good hand is a trouble.
Yeah fr fr, my buddy kicks my ass when he's on Steve, but to me it looks like this Lee likes pushing buttons a little bit too much under pressure.
Lee's coat in the wind. Holy shit
really good combo here 8:11
Shinblade is so sik. I hope he gets competes more in t8
note to self, never stay down against steve
I predict like T7 there will be Lee buffs every season and he still won't be played in tournaments
It’s only cause Lee has a lot of just frame inputs
@@chrisharrison5619 what do you mean by "just frame inputs"? Excuse my ignorance cause I don't know alot of fighting game slang haha

It’s like I don’t even know what I’m watching when I look at T8 Steve. Feel like all you do is lion stance and peekaboo d1
I really need to stop watching these sets with amazing Steve players. Makes me wanna pick up the character...

No far from it but he still has the best counter hit in the game

Buffs happen so it’s not a huge deal. You’re just gonna have fully lean into the counterhit/pressure game plan
that's how the character is designed bro 😂😂 he is a counter hit reliant and safe poking character not defensive/punishment based
