You will get to hug him one day my friend. But whenever you get a hug from a loved one, it is like Jesus is hugging you through them. He is always there even when you can see him! 😊
A little detail I absolutely love about Jesus in this show is that he gets emotional and starts to tear up whenever he sees others get emotional. Reminds us that God rejoices and weeps along with us, and empathizes with us on a human level.
Jesus Christ healed me! This is my story about my healing!I was extremely ill! I had diabetes and kidney failure, which urgently requires dialysis! I prayed to God to heal me, not for me, because I don't deserve it, but for my little children, who were left without a mother! in exactly that day, in which I prayed, the Lord healed me! I suddenly felt the pain in my kidneys go away, as well as the dryness in my mouth (diabetes). I'm a new women now! I thank the Lord for His mercy and love for us!!!!
Because you prayed for healing not for yourself but for your children. People who pray for material thing for themselves will not have their prayers answered
@@danielquick5696 what you speak is not true! God is our provider that is why His name is Jehovah Jireh(provider) He provides for the birds of the air how much more you(who are made in His image).
I had enough and I only watched small parts of it. Very high production value with directors, actors, and camera crew. The story is just full of shit. So there’s that.
I love how HUMBLE Nicodemus was. He was a Pharisee and was always acknowledged as “The Teacher of Teachers”. But he was always willing to seek more wisdom, and wasn’t afraid to be wrong. One of if not the only Pharisees in that time to see more than what he knew. In this scene I see the TRUE Teacher of Teachers, and a seasoned student still willing to learn. I feel at times Nicodemus is me. Longing for and wanting more of GOD.
Because of his humility, he was wise. That's why he was receptive to the teachings, it was easier for him to surrender to God. The name teacher of the teachers was well deserved.🙏🏻🥹 The other Pharisees get lost in pride and their false belief "I know" and were unable to surrender their egos to the Lord.
I like how he could tell exactly when Jesus was trying to explain concepts to him like the wind. You can hear it in his responses that he is listening and trying to rationalize the impossible.
Apparently he is the one who preps Jesus’ body for burial. Seeing this progression and faith, this is going to be a very hard but beautiful scene when we get it years from now. The older man burying the younger man, the ‘teacher of teachers’ having lived beyond HIS secret teacher… or so he thinks. All hope was lost that day… but days later restored. Nicodemus is going to be there in the Temple and hear the news on Easter, or Mary will tell him I bet. If this series goes strong into Acts of the Apostles (given the fact that it’s called “The Chosen” and the writers want to make more Bible shows, this is almost certain), I bet we’ll see more Nicodemus as the young Church gets moving, maybe even standing up to Saul/Paul, probably counseling Paul post-conversion… Paul isn’t the first Pharisee convert!
Matthew 11: At that time Jesus said in response: “I publicly praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intellectual ones and have revealed them to young children. 26 Yes, O Father, because this is the way you approved. 27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one fully knows the Son except the Father; neither does anyone fully know the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son is willing to reveal.. HIM.
The line where Nicodemus breaks and says "I am standing on Holy Ground" gets me every time. To imagine yourself finally standing in the presence of God is so emotionally overwhelming. I'd probably break down and cry too! Lol.
I feel like that in church when I look at the cross. I could feel his presence. That’s why I keep going back. To be close to him. And I quietly pray and read the Bible as mass is going on. 😊Unless the priest says something interesting which unfortunately is not very often.
I'll add something to that. Psalm 91:1"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty". God protects his own!
This depiction of Jesus is how I actually imagine him when he was on Earth. Some movies portray him as too serious, some as too smiling, but there is something about a performance of this actor.
Gospel of John, son of God and Jesus represent Jesus in many ways of who He is and what kind of character is. Sure in most films portray him as white but for me it's more about his personality and different point of view
Praying for you! I also strongly recommend getting plugged into a church community or a small group where people can be praying for you and walking with you!
Sometimes God helps by helping us help ourselves... Get your hormones checked and if you don't already, start eating a nutrient rich diet and lift heavy weights twice a week. Get 8 hrs sleep. I believe your body will heal itself. Farm eggs-like dark orange yolks. Potatoes, natural Beef, anything that grows in the dirt. Fruits and roots baby. Avocado Oil, Olive oil, no seed oils or Vegetable oils. Nothing processed. You will be amazed at the difference you feel. Might even cure your mental issues.... With time. Stay consistent, it is a process. Your body will continue to heal and improve over time.
This is the most powerful moment in cinematic history. The spirit of God is palpable through the screen, and that’s something Hollywood can’t duplicate or imitate
This, and the scene where he tells the women who is trying to bring the paralyzed man to be healed that "Your faith is beautiful". My two favorite scenes of all cinema ever.
Picturing Necodemos as myself, really had the power to "replicate" the spirit of Jesus, and had me right in front of Him, with all my imperfections and awful flaws. I definitely plan on watching The Chosen and Passion of Christ after I read the evangelical words according with Saint Lucas, Matheus and João.
how can peoplein hollywood understand this message when they are so full of sin and pride that they think they know everything better than anyone else?
Whenever Jesus says "I know..." to someone who is struggling in this show, he says it in a way that is comforting. It's not rude. It's not dismissive. It's said with understanding.
@@Emsie76 I just got tears 😭 of happiness the way Jesus stroked the back of his head, like He knew he just saved his heart ♥️ and soul!! Submit to Jesus and you will feel free the same comfort.
My favorite part is when nicodemus bows down in humbleness to kiss the lords hand and Jesus raises him up and tell him “blesses are those who take refuge in him” that made me tear up!! I’m a Christian who has fallen away many times and shame has always haunted me on not feeling worthy but watching these videos reminds me of how great his mercy and grace is! That he really does leave the 99 to come for the 1! Jesus I love you sooooo much!!
"Kiss the Son, lest He be angry with you and you perish in the way." Nicodemus knew the words recorded in Psalm 2 and he knew this was a critical turning point for him. I thank God Jesus saved me almost 70 years ago. He is my Saviour and Lord.
See my new comment at the top... let's include all in our big family of God. sinners are justified (Romans 4:5), while saints are kept. He begins a good work in all of us... and "He who began a good work in you shall complete it until the day of ..."
Maybe your Bible has a different version of John 3 where he mocks Nicodemus for not knowing scripture. 10 “You are Israel’s teacher,” said Jesus, “and do you not understand these things? 11 Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. 12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?
@@Daniel_Godismyjudge--Isah33.22 Read the text. The skit misrepresents the discussion. "You are master of Israel and you don't know this?" Later versions say teacher. But the point remains. You're the teacher and you don't know?!
@@nickma71 Yes, but Jesus isn't mocking Nicodemus. He is questioning Nicodemus, because Nicodemus is the Teacher of the Jews, yet he did not understand what Jesus was saying.
This scene gets me in the feels. The acting is phenomenal. When Nicodemus realizes he’s in the presence of the Messiah, WOW! Then when Jesus hugs Nicodemus, I cry every time. Imagine hugging God!!!!
I did this once, I imagined I hugged Him becouse I was so hurt by someone’s words...I closed my eyes and imagined how I was going to Him, opening my arms to hug Him...in that instance, He came to me and gave me the most wonderful hug I have ever felt. I cannot describe it even if I try. It wasn’t imaginary, but real, the most amazing comfort and a river of joy in my heart. I always am amazed when I remember. He does come to hug us. It’s not only in our imagination that this can happen. I can truly say that I hugged God and He hugged me. ❤️

As a pastor, historian and theologian. Im on season 3 now and cannot endorse this show enough. It finally does Jesus in a real first century context. It gets the history and world building really well
"My heart is swollen with fear and wonder... you can tell me nothing but that I am standing on holy ground" are my favorite words from the whole season!!
Yes we are very wise in the scriptures but our free will cant even pass one of his commandment. The good thief on the cross is the best example he get his salvation on the last hour of his fate i bet he dont need the words when he seeks and saw Jesus himself for his salvation.
Causes, not effects. Our society is like this because, like Rome, it was selfish and unjust and therefore sinful. Rome must fall and a less sinful civilization arise.
Yes, and so true today, too. My Messianic friend said, "Jewish people have learned to sit in the mystery." To sit in fear, awe and wonder of the Creator of the universe, seems more appropriate, than backward. Even the smartest of us can sit in that place if we put our pride aside. God bless you.
Well said brother, it truly tenderized our hearts. Like most I cried like baby, also & I continue to watch over & over again whenever I need to get in touch with my feelings. to have God’s love, forgiveness & compassion for others, to actively take the time to express it. Great insight, we’re all damaged one way or another, that you realize it is the beginning of wisdom, for us all. Love & God’s Blessings to you.

I was going to hurt somebody once and Jesus came to me one night and I believe he hugged me. I thought I had died. It was the greatest feeling ever. I can't even explain but it was like love poured out of every cell in my body. I have my testimony posted if your interested and I recount 15 second conversation we had.
I too had a similar experience. At 21 I wanted to end my life. I tried drugs, sex, education, money. But all I felt was an emptiness. I wanted to help people, I thought. But one day. As I thought on these things. Alone. A thought entered my mind. It was mocking me. How can you help anyone? You can’t even help yourself. I cried out to God. I asked Jesus to come into my heart and give me a new life. And he did. I haven’t lived perfectly. But for over thirty years God has been with me. Helping me. I am a new person. You can do the same.
This scene was HUGE. Everything that we ever need to know was right there. I cried my eyes out. So powerful. Makes me feel good about what will happen when more people have Faith. ❤
The videos are written within the Biblical context of the stories, but it's not a bible-based, word-for-word, scene by scene match up with scripture. They took as a foundation the scriptures, then they spun stories fleshing out the characters.

I assume now that you are reading the bible, might I suggest that you start with either Matthew or gospel of John. Then read Romans. I've seen too many new converts start with Genesis and then lose interest. Try my suggestion, then read the rest of the New Testament straight through except for Revelation. After finishing the New Testament, then continue with Genesis.

This is the Jesus I always envision... The meekness in His eyes, the pain in His heart to save mankind... His Mediterranean features are a perfect choice for the role of the Lord. A great actor! Truly an emotional scene!
@@arcticangel1628 I know. I was talking about his ancestry. The actor mentioned that his father was Egyptian/Syrian and his mother was Irish. Yeah, he is an American.
I like when he almost gets angry a few times explaining the depth of what he's talking about. Back and forth between jovial and extremely serious. Jesus snapped several times in the Gospels so I like that they portray him at times with a righteous anger and seriousness. You gotta remember Nicodemus is a member of the Sanhedrin, he's supposed to be the one who understands all of this stuff easily. But it's flying way over his head and Jesus has to get real with him sometimes and be like, "Look man, you don't understand any of this and you of all people should."

Daniel Santiago so how does God loved the world so much that give his only son ? If Jesus is both? Who sent who? And who loved us in John 3:16? Amazed when I found a familiar line in the Bible: "Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way.. Blessed are all who take refuge in him." -- Psalm 2:12 ESV Jesus actually quoted the end verse to Nicodemus as he was awe-stricken. That was a perfectly accurate depiction of legalism or religiosity that Nicodemus embodied versus the grace that Christ represented in what they quoted within that single verse.. Awesome scriptwriting! 💙
Awesome! I hadn't seen that before!! It's like the Covenants [Mosaic & New] are intersecting. Jesus is answering and finishing the citation which is also referencing Himself! Blessed Are You Lord God, King of the Universe, Who gives us Your Word AND the Word Made Flesh!! I can't even tell you how exciting this is!! I feel like the Spirit has really directed the screenwriters to these specific Scriptures that when Jesus speaks them in the Chosen, they have a prophetic resonance (like at the end of Episode 1 - Season 1). I love this depiction of Jesus not just reading/reciting Scripture [Tanakh/OT] but fulfilling it!! If he did it once super publicly Luke 4:16-21 (Isa 61:1-2a), how many more times did he do it that weren't recorded in the Gospels? Thanks for sharing Michelle!!
The Holy Spirit has been working. Take the definitions of the Hebrew names from Adam to Noah and it makes a statement; Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow,(but) the blessed God shall come down teaching. His death shall bring (the) despairing comfort and rest.
This is so beautiful, the last few minutes are so powerful as Nicodemus realizes he is in the presence of THE creator and king of the universe, God, himself. I cry every time I see it. This is the God I believe in. My Jesus. The one that embraces me when I need it and challenges me beyond what I believe I can do. Personal to each of us. Love without bounds. He teaches by asking questions and pulling the answers from within Nicodemus’s heart as a true spiritual teacher should. There is so much right about this scene; this entire series. I’m grateful beyond words that I found this gem of a series.
I have salted water, from my eyes, rolling of my cheeks to my chin, and to the floor, most of all episodes. Dallas brought THE TRUTH TO US, in a human way. I pray, that makes sense. 🙏❤️
I’m 21, raised in church, a leader on my student ministry, a youth pastor’s wife, and my parents kept begging me to watch the chosen. I really didn’t want to at first, because I’ve seen tons of religious movies that miss the mark by far and appeal to cliche, crowd pleasing Christians. I’m at my parent’s house this weekend, getting ready to say goodbye to my grandfather in hospice. They showed me this series and it’s artistic depth has blown me away. I cried as Nicodemus fell into Jesus’ arms and Jesus rubbed his head. It’s such a fatherly gesture, yet seems so juxtaposed as Nicodemus is the old one and Jesus is young. However, it shows Jesus being in the trinity, 100% man, 100% God. He is our father. Dallas, this is powerful. Thank you.
@@chrystallapsomas2030 Chrystalla, I recently read a great book that is a great help to diving deeper into studying the trinity. It’s called “Delighting in the Trinity” by Michael Reeves. It has helped my understanding of it become vastly improved. I really recommend it.
I saw Jesus, whether i was in Heaven or a prophetic dream, I saw Him. It was surreal because it was as if I were observing, but feeling it all simultaneously. The person I saw and was turned and yelled out Jesus's name. He turned. The person ran into His arms. I felt that hug. To my bones, my heart, my soul. I felt it. I have carried it with me for over 15yrs. That moment is as real today as it was then. I can honestly say I know exactly how Nicodemus felt because it was exactly like this for me. He gives the best hugs by the way. The healing kind. The kind that really do put you all back together again.
Was watching this episode with my wife and we both completely broke down in tears. Seeing Nicodemus just bawl and fall into the Lord’s arms just broke us in the best way. God is so so good.
I'm crying here because in 2 dreams I had with the Lord he hugged me exactly like this. His love goes through your body and I felt my physical body shake. In my first dream there was a point in which I had hugged him and in my dream my body began to shake but I also knew that my physical body also was shaking as if I had a high fever. When I awoke from this first dream , I was shaking for about 2 hours straight without stopping and the tears would come down my face for about 2 hours straight and there was nothing I could have done to stop the shakes nor the tears. I knew at this point it was something supernatural that I had just experienced.

when Nicodemus tells Jesus "I'm trying rabbi" and Jesus says "I know, I know"...it makes me emotional because it's a simple part that shows us that God understands that we will have a hard time, He knows how we put effort in our faith towards Him and how we TRY to put ourselves next to Him. and there's a song that says, "your grace and mercy has brought me thus far, you never gave a promise that the journey will be easy" that gives me the same feeling.
“You’d be giving up a lot…but what you would gain is far greater” I mean that’s what it’s all about right there. Give up ourselves and the sin that we are drawn to, to follow the messiah who truly delivers us and gives us the living water so that we may never thirst again 💕 powerful moment, praise God!
“My heart is swollen with fear and wonder, it can tell me nothing except that I am standing on holy ground!” I cannot help but be flooded with tears at even the thought of the holiness that stood before Nicodemus. This show is simply stunning. The acting is so real, and brings you so close to what actually happened. Sewing John write the Gospel on the steps as it unfolds is goosebumps time.
The moment where Jesus explains, "So will the Son of Man be lifted up..." There is an inflection in his voice....He knows what is to come, and how He is to suffer...yet His love for all of humanity is stronger. Thank you Lord. Thank you.
I struggle in my walk, but this scene and the context of John 3:16 helps me to keep hope that I can take refuge in him and he won't cast me away to die spiritually
You’ve gotta be reborn of the Spirit. If you love him keep his commandments. If anyone truly believes in the Son of God and what he did for us; they would work really hard to be obedient and not sin. Otherwise they never truly truly Believed. We always gotta test ourselves and ask us tough questions

@@TheChosenSeries similar to when Matthew is called and he is told he may find some use for his tablet, and later Peter tells him to take out his tablet and put it to good use as they observe Jesus heal the paralytic.
When Jesus says "sorry to disappoint you...." (I know this isn't scripture) but I could really relate it to this time we are in now with everyone waiting on God to stop whats going on in the world right now. Thing is that whether or not things get better, Jesus will see his people through the storm. He is not concerned with seeing us going back to our BBQ parties & vacations. He wants maximum souls to be saved. Suffering is often one of God's ways of turning the human heart to him. So maybe the world needed this and in a way - had it coming. I pray everyday that his will be done...job or no job, whatever the future holds .. he sees the end from the beginning for his people and has a plan for each of us.
This is not easy to digest but the thing I've noticed about Jesus is that he isn't concerned about us being comfortable, his focus is on our eternal souls. This world will pass away just like he said so why go crazy for not having the pleasures of it? 2020 for me has been my best year so far. I'm actually spending time with God and destroying toxic relationships altogether
I love that they showed John and Andrew close by listening to every word. Seeing John writing down and shushing Andrew so he doesn't miss a word was great. John is the only gospel this story is in and aren't we glad he listened in? ❤ Way to accurately portray this story Dallas.

My absolute favourite scene in The Chosen. Masterfully put together -- the completely unguarded emotion from Nicodemus, who has realized who he is speaking with ... wow.
Mine too! It had me crying the whole time. I wish l could give Jesus a tight hug like that. I love the performance of a Jesus that gets emotional to people's reaction to his presence.
Who, tell me, who could watch that and not cry? The tears are pouring out of my eyes! Psalm 56:8 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?” 1 John 3:1-2 “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” I am so thankful that He has taken away my sins and my shame! He is my blessed hope! Hallelujah!

Daniel Santiago so how does God loved the world so much that give his only son ? If Jesus is both? Who sent who? And who loved us in John 3:16? John 17: I have given them the glory that you have given me, in order that they may be one just as we are one. 23 I in union with them and you in union with me, in order that they may be perfected into one, so that the world may know that you sent me and that YOU loved them just as you loved me
This is my favorite scene so far in the series. Two phenomenal actors. I cried the first time I watched it. I still get emotional when I watch it. I hope Nicodemus is in season 3
Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea both believed Jesus was the Son of God. They were both present at the Sannhedrin's debate about who Jesus was. So both should be present in season 3 or 4 if there is a 4. Nicodemus had a true understanding of Isaiah and was able to piece the puzzle together, especially during the Crucifixion. Jesus was buried in Joseph's family tomb. No doubt, they both saw Jesus after He had risen.
I wish I could hug Jesus now the way Nicodemus hugged Him. I can't wait.
He was so sweet !
You will get to hug him one day my friend. But whenever you get a hug from a loved one, it is like Jesus is hugging you through them. He is always there even when you can see him! 😊
can't wait either but life is short and the wait won't be eternal
Try this... Go to God in prayer and just tell Him that you love Him
Me Too 🙏🏾!
A little detail I absolutely love about Jesus in this show is that he gets emotional and starts to tear up whenever he sees others get emotional. Reminds us that God rejoices and weeps along with us, and empathizes with us on a human level.
John 11:35 “Jesus wept.” You’re right 😢😭😭😭😭
Wow that’s vary deep
Read Scripture. Don't get too emotional, don't become a Pharisee either.

The name teacher of the teachers was well deserved.🙏🏻🥹
The other Pharisees get lost in pride and their false belief "I know" and were unable to surrender their egos to the Lord.
Joseph of Arimethia also knew that Jesus was the Messiah. Jesus' grave was owned by Joseph
That was beautiful!
Tears all over again.. how great is our God, that he would send his son, to die for us!!
He is an awesome God, laban!
Amen!! He is SO great and SO mighty! God bless😁
He loved you so much, He did not stop, until you said, "I believe."
He is not a sacrifice for the expiation of sins, if you mean that.
The line where Nicodemus breaks and says "I am standing on Holy Ground" gets me every time. To imagine yourself finally standing in the presence of God is so emotionally overwhelming. I'd probably break down and cry too! Lol.

Psalm 2

This depiction of Jesus is how I actually imagine him when he was on Earth. Some movies portray him as too serious, some as too smiling, but there is something about a performance of this actor.
Gospel of John, son of God and Jesus represent Jesus in many ways of who He is and what kind of character is. Sure in most films portray him as white but for me it's more about his personality and different point of view
Yea, Jesus is no wimp or condemmer. My Pastor says if Christianity is boring. You're not doing it right. He was right.
He has the spirit of Christ within him
I agree
I do believe the movies are great, but you can flesh out the character and story more in a series than in a movie.

I like when he almost gets angry a few times explaining the depth of what he's talking about. Back and forth between jovial and extremely serious. Jesus snapped several times in the Gospels so I like that they portray him at times with a righteous anger and seriousness. You gotta remember Nicodemus is a member of the Sanhedrin, he's supposed to be the one who understands all of this stuff easily. Amazed when I found a familiar line in the Bible:
"Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way.. Blessed are all who take refuge in him." -- Psalm 2:12 ESV
Jesus actually quoted the end verse to Nicodemus as he was awe-stricken. That was a perfectly accurate depiction of legalism or religiosity that Nicodemus embodied versus the grace that Christ represented in what they quoted within that single verse.. Awesome scriptwriting! 💙

And when he's like, " What are you doing? You don't need to do that." when Nicodemus is kneeling and kissing his hand.
You are so right my sister. You have described my feelings perfectly. This too is My Jesus. Thank you!
That part made me cry! When he said "I am standing on Holy Ground" it broke my heart! I can't wait to hug Jesus in Heaven!
I have salted water, from my eyes, rolling of my cheeks to my chin, and to the floor, most of all episodes. Dallas brought THE TRUTH TO US, in a human way. I pray, that makes sense. 🙏❤️
My chest burns as I feel the spirit while watching this beautiful scene!!
Thank you.
Warching video clips of unitarians and Muslims has made me confused. I don't know what to believe any more. But I'm beginning to doubt the trinity.
Bless you ! I am in tears !
Once you get to be older than Jesus is, it's a bit stranger to know he's a guy younger than you are.
@@chrystallapsomas2030 Chrystalla, I recently read a great book that is a great help to diving deeper into studying the trinity. It’s called “Delighting in the Trinity” by Michael Reeves. It has helped my understanding of it become vastly improved. I really recommend it.
@@chrystallapsomas2030 God sent his Son, Jesus Christ into the world. With The Holy Ghost, they are 3. 3 SEPERATE beings, but ONE in purpose.
Me too I was crying too love this show
Matthew 15:24
All the time and all the time God is good. Amen
I also dreamed once that Jesus hugged me. It was a very vivid dream. It is so special, my heart almost explodes, thinking back of it.
Beautiful !
I hope I can hug Jesus in my dreams, but my faith is so little...
@@joanelim1872 Got this word for you. Matthew 5:3- Jesus said “Blessed are the poor (humble) in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
And you my friend are humble.
All the glory to our Heavenly Father!! 🙌🏽🤎 Hallelujah!!
And John writing down the words! What a touch! This is so, so good!
I never noticed this before! Very cool
In ten short minutes, time did bend,
A lifetime's wisdom to transcend.
A revelation, pure and bright,
A soul was saved that same night.🙏
When he says "I am standing on Holy ground" .... The Holy Spirit within me Leapt!!!
I burst out in tear when I saw that moment, he can’t hold back his emotion of meeting the son of man , he who has ascended to heaven and come back down
Holy roof actually but yeah 🙏🏼☺️😂
when Nicodemus tells Jesus "I'm trying rabbi" and Jesus says "I know, I know"...it makes me emotional because it's a simple part that shows us that God understands that we will have a hard time, He knows how we put effort in our faith towards Him and how we TRY to put ourselves next to Him. and there's a song that says, "your grace and mercy has brought me thus far, you never gave a promise that the journey will be easy" that gives me the same feeling.
“My heart is swollen with fear and wonder, it can tell me nothing except that I am standing on holy ground!”
I cannot help but be flooded with tears at even the thought of the holiness that stood before Nicodemus. This is the greatest love that the world has ever seen. God, made man, to bear the fullest weight of our sin and inequity. He is so Good.
That line gave me chills!
My favorite scene in season one.... Love Nicodemus... this scene makes me cry I don't care how many times I watch it... Love the chosen so much best series EVER!
Amen!
I don't why, but the way they act so human and the simple way they communicate compared to most other portraits just draws me.
@@PikinpayOther portrayals of Jesus make him seem way too “holy” and disconnected from human experience. Too high and mighty to be relatable as a friend compared to the iteration of Jesus in this show.
Fully man, fully God ❤
That's how it should be when you have a relationship with the Lord you don't always have to pray you can be walking around and just start because he's there
"What does your heart tell you?"
"My heart is swollen with Fear and... and Wonder, and can tell me nothing that except I am standing on Holy ground" ❤️
Very powerful, just to see those days would be a wonderful blessing. Shalom Alacheim

Heart wrenching
"Blessed are those that take refuge in Him...."😟😢 😭😭😭😭
I know.. seen it many times and I ball like a teething toddler - I'm okay with that as I feel the Holy Spirit in me!!
Love how they quote the ending of psalm 2 at the end. Such a powerful scene.
So that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life❤😊
Yes, it's a free gift, Ehp 2:8&9 and the gospel is 1 Cor 15:1-4, believe that Christ died on the cross, was buried 3 days and rose from the dead. Just believe and trust Christ. No works, no repentance, He paid it all on the cross. To God be the Glory!
As a Jew I'm very moved by this scene.. I have shared it with my family.
God bless you and your family.
Peace be with you.
Coming from a Christian like me, I know one thing that God has opened your heart and your family hearts to Him and gave you all peace
If you're finding it hard to get through to some of them, please refer them to their Holy Book: The Torah - Isaiah 53.
@@shika916 Actually, Isaiah 53 is not in the Torah. Strictly speaking, the Torah only refers to the five books of Moses. Isaiah 53 is located in the Nevi’im (Prophets) section of the Tanakh, but it is still nevertheless a critically important passage and one that I would recommend for Efraim Haas here to read.
Thank you.
Amen.
I couldn't even watch this scene until the end. My eyes are just streaming tears. Of love, gratitude and absolute awe.
I pray the day comes when I get to hug Jesus like this scene. I’m going to cry uncontrollably I’m sure.
I struggle in my walk, but this scene and the context of John 3:16 helps me to keep hope that I can take refuge in him and he won't cast me away to die spiritually
God will discipline his children for sin, but He will NEVER forsake his children. Eternal life means life that never ends.
You’ve gotta be reborn of the Spirit. If you love him keep his commandments. If anyone truly believes in the Son of God and what he did for us; they would work really hard to be obedient and not sin. Otherwise they never truly truly
Believed. We always gotta test ourselves and ask us tough questions
The script of both in this scene just grabs my heart...having Scripture spoken in such a human way ...the impact is incredible. Feel like those two apostles earnestly listening...feels like prayer. ♥️🕊♥️♥️♥️♥️
Love hearing how it touches you, Sue, thanks
The thought of Jesus in the flesh giving you a hug. Oh how I want this so much, please remember my face O'lord.
I heard in background where John the Beloved taking notes as he wrote the one of the Gospels by the author himself
What a incredible scene 🤗😇🙌🙏🏼

@@TheChosenSeries similar to when Matthew is called and he is told he may find some use for his tablet, and later Peter tells him to take out his tablet and put it to good use as they observe Jesus heal the paralytic.
@@TheChosenSeries thanks a lot. Late comment
Well said. Praise Him in the storm.
Very true 👍
I read it somewhere, what God allows, God plans for. Let your heart be burdened for the lost...not the future. Pray more, witness more,...pray more...
I thought the exact same thing...
I love that they showed John and Andrew close by listening to every word. Seeing John writing down and shushing Andrew so he doesn't miss a word was great. John is the only gospel this story is in and aren't we glad he listened in? ❤ Way to accurately portray this story Dallas.
Yes! And when Jesus is preaching Matthew is seen writing stuff down. Nice details
I've always appreciated that. The Book it is mentioned in, the Apostle who wrote it is usually there.
No matter how many times I watch this scene, it truly pulls at my heart and brings me to tears. ♥️🙏🏼🕊️
God is my refuge and my strength. Glory to his holy name. When he calls you by name, you will begin the adventure of a lifetime, and never be the same. Amen!
"Blessed are all who take refuge in him".......powerful line....

Who, tell me, who could watch that and not cry? The tears are pouring out of my eyes!
Psalm 56:8 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?”
1 John 3:1-2
“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”

This show's actors are the top. So far, this scene is by far the MOST moving and poignant of them all, with the Samaritan Woman as 2nd and the Forgiveness of Mary Magdalene 3rd. You get the feeling that you're sitting or standing right there with them and experiencing all of their emotions. NEVER before have I watched a movie where ALL of the actors move me to tears. Just wait until you see the scene with Simon being called to walk on water to Jesus. My heart exploded ❤️.
Fun fact nicodemus is master rahool from destiny
I would say the scene with Melek is also up there in season 2 would be in my top 10 also

Daniel Santiago so how does God loved the world so much that give his only son ? If Jesus is both? Who sent who? And who loved us in John 3:16?
John 17: I have given them the glory that you have given me, in order that they may be one just as we are one. 23 I in union with them and you in union with me, in order that they may be perfected into one, so that the world may know that you sent me and that YOU loved them just as you loved me
This moment is my heart broke. I'm actually feeling that I'm with Jesus, when He embrace me, when I see Him face to face.
😂🤣😂
This is my favorite scene so far in the series. Two phenomenal actors. I cried the first time I watched it. I still get emotional when I watch it. I hope Nicodemus is in season 3
Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea both believed Jesus was the Son of God. They were both present at the Sannhedrin's debate about who Jesus was. So both should be present in season 3 or 4 if there is a 4. Nicodemus had a true understanding of Isaiah and was able to piece the puzzle together, especially during the Crucifixion. Jesus was buried in Joseph's family tomb. No doubt, they both saw Jesus after He had risen.
i have watched this dozens of times and am moved to tears everytime
I Believe And Love You With All My Heart Jesus. I Will Never Leave Your Side 🙏🏼❤️
