the gulf of difference between the acting of Alamzeb and the rest of the team is represented exactly in this scene. The ladies around Malika Jan's side are just perfect, each embodying their characters with ease and beauty. While Alamzeb may be decked in all that jewellery, but she is so lifeless and ill-fitted to this world, this setting.
Did you ever think maybe she has complex PTSD? It makes dk much sense when you think of that. I behaved lifeless for adound the last 5 years going through a mental breakdown and PTSD due to family abuse. It just came.

So I assume she is completely dipped in insecurities and thinks it’s a good thing rather than trying to get rid of it. You should see that interview 🤣.
You are saying that because you don't know much about acting, direction and depth of the character... I do theatres and Alamzeb and everyone else did absolutely great job ... Their acting was top nautch!!

@@majay2010 sweetie, theatre and film (as in screen) are completely different mediums. I have done both, as well as kathak (not playing experience Olympics). In theatre, there is a lot of focus on physical and body language as the audience right in front of you, whereas film-based acting needs greater dexterity and range in facial expressions as the camera can capture the minute facial details. In theatre, we go big, because the audience need to be transported to the scene while sitting in the theatre itself. In film, we work with our eyes to pull the audience into our character (film already has locations to create the scenery). Alamzeb failed to do any of this. The only reason people want to support her is because she is a junior actor, but her interviews prove that she is neither humble nor interested in learning. Her negative attitude towards the other cast members is sad to watch, and honestly, people are offended because Alamzeb the character deserved better.

Malikajaan all three daughters met sad end. Lajjo died a broken heart, alamzeb also could not get her love at the end, tajdar died and bibbojaan got killed by the british. Malikajaan also could not get hapiness, she lost her son n became a stone hearted tawaif. If someone was ok at the end, it was fareedan.

People who know about diamonds having a hue of yellow, white or blue as per their grading will understand the dialogue of Manisha. Low grade diamonds are yellow. She said it with an intension to refuse the low grade diamond along with the shade of reality where a tawaif can’t be married.

Then I watched the episode where Tajdar lies at the Police station to save his family. She carried a blank face and walked into the jail cell. I couldn't tell if she was hurt/helpless/forgiving/mistaken about what happened till she burned the kerchief with their names.
Wow.. I couldn't back her up after that, nope.

You can't judge someone on only one scene.. I watched the seires twice and looked her acting.. Overall she did a great job.. !! Her acting was so impressive.. Beleive me.. I do nukkad nataks and theatres so I know how good she did!!

Aditi and Sharmin were the worst part of the show. Aditi was so good in Padmavat in her small role but here she is bad. Sharmin is just pain to watch. Aditi was such a good actress. I don't know what happened to her. Only Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha and Sajeeda Shaikh were good. Sonakshi Sinha was amazing as well in her role. Aditi and Sharmin were worst.
