The new edition of Warhammer, the Horus Heresy has officially launched and here at Zorpazorp we are Emperors massive balls deep into the carnage of the 31st millennium and over the next few months we’ll be unveiling a Warhammer Narrative Campaign like nothing you have ever seen before, in fact we’ve already shot it, and upon hearing about our crazy plans the folks over at Games Workshop decided to hop on board and rope me into some madness of their own. Today is the beginning of a massive journey, hundreds of hours of hobby, nearly a hundred hours of international travel, as I, Lachie of Zorpazorp, finally make the pilgrimage to the home of Warhammer in the United Kingdom, Warhammer World to take part in a massive showcase Display to celebrate the relaunch of the Horus Heresy.

My favourite model from all the Heresy is the mighty contemptor. Such a majestic and powerful unit, in terms of rules and looks. The new plastic contemptors are just so good.

These are some of the best bat reps I've ever seen. Though it does make sense that you're not getting a lot of views because people don't like watching bat reps mainly, I think because they're not used to seeing good ones. I hope more people watch these so that you are able to continue to put in the effort that these deserve.

Hey mate, Sadly this episode absolutely died, but I'm working on a plan to find a way to resurrect the next three episodes, looking at release in about third quarter of this year. Sorry for the delay mate, I've been gutted for a long time, but I'm feeling better now there's a ray of hope for them.
@@Zorpazorp Honestly, it’s a shame. I can imagine the resources you poured into these. The time it took to assemble, paint, design the scenarios, and edit (especially using the audiobook). These are on the same tier as the Helsreach animation. I hope the community comes to appreciate these for the gem they are.

These battle reports are phenomenal, the hard work you guys have put in shines through. I don't understand why these haven't been received as well as you'd hoped. I think they are bloody great !!
Again, the humble workhorse of the legions, the Rhino, is my absolutely fave. Especially in the Heresy when they can be customised and equipped. The Grandfather of all that we know.

I really hope it picks up steam for you. This is literally the first battle report I've ever wanted to watch, it's so well produced. I've only ever read the books, I've never played the game or painted any models. Watching this series was the first time I got what the game is all about and why it's fun. My favorite from the Heresy range? The Word Bearers Contemptor Dreadnought. Not the Mhara Gal dread, but the standard contemptor with symbols carved all over it. It always looks so cool.

This bat rep was so cool, just dramatic, cinematic and suspenseful! My favourite model has got to be Konrad, the shear brutality of the scene and the connection to the book just bring it so far!
My favorite model from the Heresy range is Alpharius. The pose is great, as is the sculpt for the armor. I also appreciate that he's actually wearing his helmet, rather than forego a key piece of protection.

I feel like the Contemptor and it's variants are really the ultimate Heresy miniatures. The basic one looks so good, but also conveys the superior technology of the era. The variants all look pretty great and characterful.
I have to admit, I love mark the mark 2 crusade armor. The fact this was the first armor for void combat is good to see.
Been jonesing for the next set of these calth reports. Can only imagine how much time and effort went into this series. Crazy high production quality and a real fun ride so far!
Great opening, Guilliman teleports in, tear arses into the other room, shoots a dude in the face and hacks all his mates apart with his power sword. Great video, the effects are pretty awesome for making these entertaining.
My favorite models are the Salamanders Firedrakes. I love all the scale textures (fun and easy to paint with a little drybrushing) and they look amazing striding forward with their shields and custom thunder hammers
This is my favorite seres on TH-cam!! The story your narration, the scenery, the action!! All of it!! Can’t get enough!! My favorite moment in this game was when all the word bearers stormed the ultramarines in the hanger! Super thematic!! My favorite model is Leman Russ! His armor his pose dual weapons. The emperors executioner in action!! Thanks gents!!
The production value on these videos just keeps getting better and better, can definitely feel the two years you guys put into this! I got to say that although I am quite biased, the Alpha Legion Contemptor Dreadnought is my favorite model out of the whole range, simplistic enough that even I can paint it, but detailed enough that it looks great even with a middling paintjob.
Another great batrep! It's so hard to pick a favorite unit out of all of the Heresy units, but having just picked up the Lucius the Faultless Blade model, it definitely holds the top for me. Beautifully sculpted and really shows off the arrogance of Lucius that we all expect.
Out of all the models in the Heresy Alpharius takes my number one slot, hopefully getting a hold of him soon, all those scale details will be fun to deal with indeed. Also love the look of Alpha Legion units here too.

My favorite moment of this battle report was when Guilliman first charged in and wiped the Word Bearers squad, it was such an 'ah, right, primarch' moment.
As for my favorite Horus Heresy model, rather than a character or some big center piece model I'm goin to go with the generic MKIII Breachers, there's such an almost 'simplicity' to them in a 'yeah, obviously the Imperium would do things this way', they are exactly how you'd think they'd look hearing a description of what they do in the lore.
I have always been a fan of the Loken and Abbadon diorama mini. It is a iconic scene and meant a lot for the Storyline.
The content you put out is my favorite on TH-cam. The fun and passion you have for the game is infectious. My favorite model for the horus heresy is the lion El Johnson model. He just looks so badass

Thanks Justin, glad you enjoyed it mate. Looks like the rest of the campaign is set to be shelved for a good while or scrapped entirely sadly. They're just too expensive to make, and not getting the traction they need to make it cost effective.
Favorite model in the HH lineup? Of course it has to be the Contemptor-Incaendius. Who doesn't want a dreadnaught with those claws?
My favorite model in that game? The charge of twos. Despite the turn of fate against the Ultramarines, it's those types of moments where the dice decide to ignore probability and tell a story that make tabletop games amazing.
So happy to see a Zone Mortalis scenario in that awesome series ! I gotta say, if I were not counting that chunky Landraider Phobos Mk IIb (that has slipped into Legacy), the newly released Emperor's Children Praetor in Tartaros armor is my absolute fave in the current lineup. Such a beautiful model !
I think the narrative scenarios are a really cool change from standard battle reports. Can’t wait to see more.
Of course I love the Primarchs and stuff, but my favourites are definitely the Horus Heresy Space Marine Tanks and the Warlord Titan
Really loving this series hope it keeps up! My favorite models in heresy are the dreadwing interemptors. Every time the are on the table I hear "We have come! We are death!"
My favourite has to be a Leviathan Dreadnaught. What's not to love about a nearly dead guy inside a huge block of ceramite, screaming bloody murder and melting entire squads at the same time?

As a Word Bearer player just getting started in the Heresy, this series has given me so much inspiration, and has kept the hype going.
As for my favourite unit, it would have to be the Sicaran, a fantastic tank with both speed and heavy firepower to show those loyalist dogs the Warmaster is the true ruler of the galaxy.
Stunning. Favourite moment was definitely Gulliman slapping that dreadnought. What a lad!!
Favourite heresy model? Unironically it's the deimos rhino. It evokes so much of the setting that I love, with modernised aesthetics that don't depart too far from the established look. They paint up extremely well, look awesome on the table and are just such a great space APC design.
These videos are just great btw. I’ve never read the HH books, so you’re telling of the narrative is awesome, really creates meaning to the games
I've been collecting 40k models since the Rogue Trader days, 1989. My fave model in this iteration of Warhammer has to be the good ol Mark VI Beaky Marines. These are the Space Marines that brought me into the hobby, and to see them updated and cleaned up (I spent many MANY hours cleaning mold lines on old pewter marines back in the day) just pressed the ol' Nostalgia button in mah brain.
Another absolutely cracking report - I love these, and the passion behind them really shows. So really heartbreaking to hear they haven’t been well received. I hope the rest of the series does get done at some point but understand if it’s just too much - thank you for the stuff we did get to enjoy!!! Now, off to watch the stuff on Broadsword… though for the purposes of the competition, I can’t go past Sanguinius as the most incredible model in the heresy range!!
Yet again you guys deliver a banger of a video. A ZM-like board and the UM having to run through it as a gauntlet was a nice addition. This series is great!
Even though I'm a White Scars fanboy I find the DG Deathshroud models to be my favourite of the HH range. The battle-hardened, tireless elite of the Death Guard swiping down anything in their path with their scythes is just too good.
My favourite heresy model has got to be Argel Tal, such a great presence on the table top and a fantastic character as well. Love these Calth bat reps, can’t wait for the next one

Favourite Horus Heresy model has got to be the one I'm painting right now whilst watching this video! The Legion Praetor with Power Axe cuts a mean figure and I especially like the two handed axe, something you don't see too often. These videos have got to be my favourite batreps available right now.
My favorite 30k model is Magnus the Red, it's just such a perfect pose which encapsulates everything the Primarch of the Thousand Sons stands for!

Fave individual model has to be Remus Ventanus. With the helmet on, obviously. He just looks like everything marines aspire to be, badass, powerfully posed, and a deadly mini rulewise as well.

Just purchased the Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game starter kit. Currently working on my warriors of the dead, and hoping to soon get a game in! In the meantime, I am looking forward to more Middle Earth content!

For me, my favourite model for the Heresy would have to be the humble MkIII Legionary Tactical.
It typifies the straightforward, brutally effective aesthetic of a Legion on Crusade, a force that is not trying to win hearts and minds or star on recruitment posters, but instead seeks to drive out and reclaim the lost worlds of Man, and the sight of a unit ranked up on the tabletop evokes that feel of how the old Legions waged war as massive formations and deployments, in contrast to the smaller-scale squad or two that would appear in later 40K narratives.
Dark Angels Legion Deathwing Companions are one of My favorite
Honestly my favorite model in the HH range has to be the humble Cataphractii Terminator. They’re the absolute definition of Heresy era to me; ancient armor, tried and true in the crucible of war, and the end-all choice in boarding actions that is truly one of the best forms of defense against most foes.
My favourite model is definitely the humble cataphractii terminator - I remember seeing those slab-sided pauldrons way back in the misty days of Visions of Heresy and being instantly captivated. Such a beautifully brutal design!
Gottta say, there's a lot of amazing Horus Heresy units... but my heart beats augmetic, and I have a particular fondness for the Thanatar Siege Automata... seconded, of course, to my boys of the X Legion, the Iron Hands! They need the extra firepower to help avenge their Primarch!

I would say breachers are my favourite unit and I wish we had them in 40k. Having giant riot shield with a slot cut out to stick your gun through is just amazing, and also gives you the opportunity to so some weathering and battle damage.

Genuinely an absolutely amazing battle report, and it makes sense that some of the rules are a little funky since it was an early release; but it was a little alarming to see weapon skill 6 models only hitting weapon skill 5 guys on 4’s instead of 3’s hahaha

The new Leviathan Dread has been my favourite model. Huge fan of that lumbering lad!

What an epic batrep. My favorite model from the Horus Heresy range is Horus - it captures him so well at the start of the heresy.
My favourite model has to be Leviathan Dreadnaught. I love pretty much all forms of dreadnaughts and just the chunkiness and absurdly huge weapons on Leviathan do it for me
As a Word Bearers collector myself (since the release of Book 2) I love all the Calth content. My favourite Forge World character model is Kor Phaeron, but in total it would be the Spartan and the Proteus Land Raider because of the WW1 vibe they exude. So I'm very happy that they got re-worked into plastic models.
Amazing work, fellas. This is the absolute pinnacle of Warhammer.

Also hands down my favorite models in the Entire Heresy range are the Palatine Blade Models... not just because they're Emperor's Children... although yes that too, but mostly it is because of how tastefully Ornate they are.
in their role as the finest duelists in a legion of duellists and not being a static warrior elite was truly engaging. The Palatine blades weren't a standing 'elite of the elite' duellists force but actually a shifting one!
If one sought to gain membership and the honor of being a part of that fraternity, one was selected from amongst the Platoon Company and other champions and finest duelists who then assembled to test their skills, the finest handful being made the Palatine Blade Section for the duration of that campaign. Because this changed and no position was ever assured in the Palatine blades it did a lot to harness the best of what made the 3rd Legion who they were, that striving, perfectionist, competitive spirit kept their warriors sharp and as you can see in the book SCARS and other Heresy books.
The Palatine Blades, although they often followed Fulgrim unquestioningly they were often the last to be subsumed into what the 3rd legion was becoming, I view them (and Eidolon seems to have as well by his respect and treatment of their Praefector during the book) as Islands of skill, will and pure discipline, quite literally what the 3rd should have been, could have been and almost was.
but I'll stop gushing here's hoping I can get myself some delivery methods for my own few dozen Palatine Blades XD

Please do more of these styled Bat Reps in the future for other battles in the Horus Heresy, I know your doing the imperial palace build, would be nice to see some Imperial Fists vs Iron Warriors at the siege of terra or iron cage in this format of story telling bat reps
My favorite model from the heresy line would have to be the Knights Cenobium from the Dark Angels line, the catiphractii armor combined with their terranic great swords give them an unmistakable aesthetic that pleases my soul.

My favourite HH unit and model are the Sons of Horus Justaerin Terminators. I've been in love with them since they were first released.
My favorite miniature in the range is the Leviathan Siege Dreadnought with Ranged Weapons. These battle reports are so good, Impressive tables, great models and well presented.

Favorite model is the Sicaran, I think. It just embodies space marine tanks so well.
My favorite model has got to be the kharon pattern acquisitor. It looks like a mix between a sandworm and Gru’s car. Love that it includes alternate pieces for a transformation of the hatch opening as well (something else to magnetize).
I love these Bat reps, i think they are great entertainment and I have learned alot from them. I hope you can still do them.
My Favourite bit was when Roboute Guilliman carved his way through everyone.
These battle reports are hands down my favourite. Spectacular job!! I love the dedication encompassing everything from terrain to miniature. The focus on mk iii's as opposed to beanies also helps to emphasise when the battle took place and provide a beautiful array of unique, hand tailored minutatures. Not to mention the array of cultists and vostroyans from the earlier report. 10/10

Excited to another one of these! Favorite heresy channel on TH-cam for sure. My personal favorite model definitely has to be the trusty Cataphractii Terminator armor, the bulk and absolute heft to them is one of my favorite things. They truly look like the heavy clad elites they are meant to be.
My favorite models are the Knights Cenobium, nothing like destroying the enemy with plasma flamers before butchering them with superior swordsmanship, all while looking crisp!
We have to support these battle reports. They are beyond, simply beyond. Remember, we don't know what we got 'till it's gone, and I don't want to go back now we know what they can look like.

My favorite model(s) have got to be the tartaros terminators! they work very well in my space wolves and I just love the lightning claws sculpt on them! These battle reports are always sooo well made and are a great watch when building models!
