Thanks for that, It gives me a bit of an idea on what the inside looks like as I've got a broken hinge on the earphone-only side and this at least gives me a starting point on trying to figure out how to tear it down so I can at least start to repair it. My first pair broke at that point after 18 months, I got it warranty replaced with another one, and the new one just broke the other week in exactly the same spot!

Just fixed these POS headset and I'm convinced it was intentionally designed to fail on a plastic hinge and made difficult to repair. I've ended up additionally breaking one of the foam piece swivel hinges when trying to access the inside to look for ways for fixing that tiny hinge that allows whole earpiece to rotate. This tiny hinge is meant to take the forces applied to whole earpiece and failed while I was literally holding a headset in hand. Ended up making it a fixed non rotating earpiece with a bit of epoxy.

Great video. Thank you for that.
The earpieces swivel. So, it would have been nice to see if they can be tightened. One earpiece is a bit too loose when it swivels on my headset.

Great video! It's annoying that this headset lets you swing the microphone over to be worn on the left ear, but it doesn't have a way to swap the left and right audio output! From viewing your video, I can see that a little bit of additional engineering by Jabra could have easily allowed for this to work at the mechanical-mic-arm and electrical-speaker-terminals!... now I'm wondering if I should bother to DIY swap the solder for the left and right speakers.
I know there are software solutions (Equalizer APO) to achieve the same thing, but that isn't available to me as my workstation is locked down by policy!

WHYYYYYYYY did you cut the footage at 3:24? That's literally the hardest part to do - prying the earphone part without mangling plastic parts to shit.

Hi, please show us again the part that you pulled out the the left side. It was too quickly and we could not see , how you pulled out the 2nd mechanism. Thank you very much for your video.

Great, now I will try to open mine.
I was connected via micro usb and intended to leave my desk - boom micro usb port ripped of internally 😢

Mine stopped working on one side, I don't know how to fix that. Can't afford another any time soon, so I am either gonna have to deal with it for a few more months or fix it, which is probably too risky to even think bout trying.

How did you solder it back? I mean how did you know the +ve and -ve cable, or there's no difference in this case

    • @gianlucasini612
      @gianlucasini612 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@mohamedabdallahsharaf4921 Hello - in my case only the + was disconnected, so I have soldered back that only

It worked by trial and error, the red wire wasn't +ve for my case.

I am really interested to see the connection to the Li-Poly charger.
Do you have any new successful attempt?

In the most critical step of opening the headphones you make an edit, changed the tool and did not tell with words what you did to open them up + hold them too close to the camera so that the images are out of focus. I can't figure out how you did it.😂

great video. Hoping you might be able to help on another issue on the Jabra Evolve 65
where the earpiece meets the headband, there is a rectangular black piece on the inside. it is held by two screws. This part cracked on mine, likely due to the repetitive stress of putting on the headphones.
Has anyone had any luck removing this part and replacing it? I have some older, broken Jabra headsets, so I figured if I could get the right kind of screwdriver, I would simply cannibalize another non-working unit.

  • @Monsterpala

shitty construction, no screws just plastics and glue. I would not mind if it was t breaking and I either disassemble it or throw it away.
