@spencermeek1841 they have told me the next batch is good. Axles have been improved and if you happen to break one of the hinge pin brackets, there are upgrades you can buy separately. Those took a lot of abuse. From what it sounds like, you’re good to go!
I ran mine again tonight. I replaced the wheelie bar wheels with R-Design wheels. The 22 mm. They make the wheelies quiet and more controlled .fricking love this little car.

Me too. I am flipping this thing on its lid when I am trying to wheelie and hold it. But those bars on top amazingly protect it. It’s so fast I can’t full trigger it very often at all.

Very capable little truck. Unless on a budget, I'd prefer the Rlaarlo, looking at how near perfect it handles in this video. Though part of it is driver skill, like these backflips and other tricks

Of course several other reviewers agreed. It’s always possible. I’m pushing on my rep lol. Rlaarlo already has a 14th scale that has been out and its a great rc I dont understand the point of this one but the one I reviewed has a fan on the motor and I got 51 on 3s its a blast a fun little rc for sure for some reason this new one is worse off than what they already had, Good video as usual
This does have a different feel and is on a different chassis than their older 1/14s. I guess just like HBX has like 74 1/16 options now 😂. Definitely time for them to do some bigger stuff! It’s coming I’m sure! Here we go!! Thanks buddy!!!!

I contacted them about the esc too that we need some kind of programming and to be able to calibrate a remote I rubbed it in a little bit how good the MJX Bluetooth setup was lol hopefully they will add it like the Omni terminator needs a brake reduction

The abuse you gave that thing is remarkable. I have to assume the cars @Rlaarlo are giving out for people to review are already upgraded. We bought one to review it, and it broke the rear knuckle before we even started recording. We were doing very small jumps and going pretty slow. We didn't give it anywhere near the abuse that you did. Honestly, I can't believe it is even the same car based on our out-of-the-box experience. I have ordered new parts, and we will give it another shot when they come in. I ordered parts for my Arrma Notorious, and they arrived 2 days later. I'm still waiting on the Rlaarlo parts.😢 I hope they come in soon so we can actually make a video of the car and our experience getting the parts to fix it.

Hey bro, love the channel! I just bought both the Rog1 and the Omni Terminator CF. Haven't driven either of them yet, but I was wondering if there is any way at all to control the Rog1 with the Omni Terminator transmitter? As you know, it has more custom throttle adjustability and that's what I really need for my application. I actually need it to be able to go slow sometimes without running into stuff and crashing it or getting it stuck. Love the smaller size to get into tight spots. I want to use it to scope for water leaks and other issues in the crawlspace under my house with a Gopro mounted on it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I was sure to go on a school day, but when I got to the park to go shoot a crawler video at the creek, there were quite a few people. WhenI was about to leave I noticed it was dead and got this out. I was amazed too as this park is usually pretty busy. Dont remember for sure but it wasn’t that early in the day. Thats an overflow church parking lot and empty most of the time. Bike track I got lucky too lol. Was my first time there! Thanks dude and keep looking!

First of all - best rc car Channel on you tube. Second - 2 question: 1. How can you state it is a 1/14 when the mjx hyper go 16208 is less than 2cm at each dimension? 2. Between this and the 1/16 hyper go which is more durable and you would recommend for bashing beginner?
Thanks!! Well manufacturers are all over the place with their scale sizes. While they should be more “regulated,” they’re not lol. So it’s definitely reasonable to be able to call it either one. For durability it’s kind of hard to say. The mjx might be overall more durable, but it has very low quality differential gears (unless they’ve updated them as they do have updated and better diffs that can be purchased). Honestly red light, if it is more durable, it’s not by much. The Rlaarlo here has axle issues that they say they’ve fixed but I still keep seeing reports about them breaking so I don’t really know what’s going on there. Maybe they’re still pushing out old stock? However as far as handling and performance, my opinion is the rlaarlo is the best and would still be my pick. I may have been lucky with the axles.
I looove this truck, but who knows how long until they fix the axles. I’ve been told they did get fixed, but people are still reporting breaks so not sure if they haven’t actually improved yet or if they just haven’t made it to the production models yet or what. So who really knows how long, or if ever?? My experience with rlaarlo tells me they will do it, but I just don’t know. The brushless Groms look amazing and I’m sure you’d be happy snagging on of those! I can’t wait for an outcast and Kraton grom myself!! Hopefully an infraction too!

@daveeltringham8695 I wish I knew the best option. Rlaarlo keeps reminding me they’ve improved their customer service and warranty but if you just get sent another weak part, it doesn’t matter. I also don’t know if or when a Kraton or outcast grom is coming. I’m sure it will as it will be major popular but I’ve heard nothing lol.
@DerbyCityRC I guess, being in the UK, access to rlaarlo parts is less of a quick turn around. It seems a fantastic truck, and the terminator shocks and wheels have been outstanding on my 2996a, but the weak cvd's and limited aftermarket parts concern me. Then I do love the look of that little truck and how much you get for your money. Appreciate the feedback and your opinion, though I'm no closer to a decision. I guess I'll wait to see if you get hold of one and how it stands up to a good @DerbyCityRC beating. That'll probably away my decision. Keep up the great work and thanks

Hey Evan, so I had a thought.. would the shocks from the ROG1 fit directly onto an MJX 14210? My mjx would rip with suspension half as good as the Rlaarlo's come with! Thanks man!

Still have to order most parts from China though.
They’re being a bit quiet about it, but looks like the axles have been upgraded when looking at the pictures of the spare parts on the website and they have the metal hinge pin brackets available. They’ve told me improvements have been made to the new production cars but not 100% sure yet if it has metal hinge brackets. Possible those will just be sold as an optional upgrade as it did take quite a bit for that to break. The axles are what most people have issues with and it seems those have been improved.
I really like your RC content, it’s amazing and this was another Awesome video man! Part of me wants to pull the trigger on this because I know I don’t put my RC cars through half what yours Or Tomleyrc cars see during durability test, but in Phil’s video the ROG1 and ZD racing barely made it through what he considers “the softer part/ 1stage” of his skatepark durability test before drive shaft snapped. Although the price will go up, I’ll most likely just wait for the “improved/stronger” second batch. Im sure they’ll definitely run another sell between the time next batch comes out and Christmas where it’ll be cheaper than the $199.99 price tag.

@Xxnonymuz oh i definitely still think it’s a solid deal. As things break you can buy the upgraded parts just like with any brand. Rlaarlo gets the upgraded parts out quicker than most other companies and some companies don’t make upgrades at all.

Nice video as usual man, that truggy version isn't nearly as ugly as it looks in the pictures online haha. Interesting what these companies are continuing to do with the OG LC racing platform. I've been rocking my truggy LC racing and short course truck for years and they are my favorite RC's. Cool to see some cheaper options for the platform and of course more parts development.
Also, the JSI might be the better deal overall, considering they come with two bodies, two batteries and a better full size version Dumborc transmitter/receiver for the same price or less than the "special introductory price" or the ROG1. With the money saved can just buy a 45a or bigger ESC and throw it in and you're golden. Unless you have to have the green accent parts rather than orange.
I still have LC Racing EMB, the buggy version. Smaller tires, so less all terrain than the truggy, but design and quality is top notch. I've only replaced tires and a steering servo

Seems like a mini version or the Omni Terminator, only without the center diff. Looks like it uses the same motor as the Omni Terminator (aluminum version).
@@DerbyCityRCI have the Omni Terminator aluminum version, and they actually come with a 60 amp ESC and 2852/3100kv motor. It's a really nice RC. They are not the same but, seems to be the little brother version. Either way Rlaarlo can make a quality RC when they decide to. Looking forward to seeing them come out with a nice true 10 scale or larger RC. I'm sure it will be epic!
I'm sure it's the throttle that's not up to par. esc. That's why It can't self right and the shape of the body isn't round enough on the roof for a self right vehicle.
Question: when you say it’s your favourite small-scale, does that include vs. the Associated 14MT? Saw it earlier in video for size, but not when comparing to other smaller scale.
Yes. I did a video a few months ago comparing the MT14 to an HBX that I modified and i definitely preferred the HBX. I also did an actual review of the MT14 a year ago or so. It’s definitely a good car but even without the center diff, I prefer this one.
Yes. Ya it took me a long time to find good places. Just used Google satellite images to try to find open areas and spend a lot of time scoping them out. Public schools on weekends are my most common places.

Quite a nice car especially for its size and price and very good components for its price and size and it’s wayyy better then a arrma grom trust me and loads more fun it looks like it’s a 3s ripper ! And it’s only $20 more then the granite grom plus crazy durable and the diffs are way better then on the grom

If a collision occurs at a very high speed, it is easy to be damaged. The same is true for real cars.

I bought a Rlaarlo rog1 Gladiator and I am very happy with it. I bought 2 more batteries and a ballance charger for my little demon ROG1 Gladiator.

Rlaarlo is a good company that typically asks for honest reviews anyway so it may not be that at all. I definitely like how the rally is looking though! @QuinnsRC yes honest but at the same time gotta be fair. Slamming the car is usually going to break and be expected, but what I broke just doesn’t seem strong enough yet. Of course several other reviewers agreed. It’s always possible. I’m pushing on my rep lol. They’re definitely not acting mad or anything and I explained the importance of an honest review and she agreed. I do think Rlaarlo is going the distance. Still hopeful I’ll get one.

Rlaarlo already has a 14th scale that has been out and its a great rc I dont understand the point of this one but the one I reviewed has a fan on the motor and I got 51 on 3s its a blast a fun little rc for sure for some reason this new one is worse off than what they already had, Good video as usual
This does have a different feel and is on a different chassis than their older 1/14s. I guess just like HBX has like 74 1/16 options now 😂. Definitely time for them to do some bigger stuff! It’s coming I’m sure! Here we go!! Thanks buddy!!!!

I contacted them about the esc too that we need some kind of programming and to be able to calibrate a remote I rubbed it in a little bit how good the MJX Bluetooth setup was lol hopefully they will add it like the Omni terminator needs a brake reduction

The abuse you gave that thing is remarkable. I have to assume the cars @Rlaarlo are giving out for people to review are already upgraded. We bought one to review it, and it broke the rear knuckle before we even started recording. We were doing very small jumps and going pretty slow. We didn't give it anywhere near the abuse that you did. Honestly, I can't believe it is even the same car based on our out-of-the-box experience. I have ordered new parts, and we will give it another shot when they come in. I ordered parts for my Arrma Notorious, and they arrived 2 days later. I'm still waiting on the Rlaarlo parts.😢 I hope they come in soon so we can actually make a video of the car and our experience getting the parts to fix it.

Hey bro, love the channel! I just bought both the Rog1 and the Omni Terminator CF. Haven't driven either of them yet, but I was wondering if there is any way at all to control the Rog1 with the Omni Terminator transmitter? As you know, it has more custom throttle adjustability and that's what I really need for my application.
I actually need it to be able to go slow sometimes without running into stuff and crashing it or getting it stuck. Love the smaller size to get into tight spots. I want to use it to scope for water leaks and other issues in the crawlspace under my house with a Gopro mounted on it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

In handling and performance I’d say yes. Speed and power definitely. Not in durability. No trigger delay these have much better radios than hypergo.

I was sure to go on a school day, but when I got to the park to go shoot a crawler video at the creek, there were quite a few people. WhenI was about to leave I noticed it was dead and got this out. I was amazed too as this park is usually pretty busy. Dont remember for sure but it wasn’t that early in the day.

Well manufacturers are all over the place with their scale sizes. While they should be more “regulated,” they’re not lol. So it’s definitely reasonable to be able to call it either one.
For durability it’s kind of hard to say. The mjx might be overall more durable, but it has very low quality differential gears (unless they’ve updated them as they do have updated and better diffs that can be purchased). Honestly red light, if it is more durable, it’s not by much. The Rlaarlo here has axle issues that they say they’ve fixed but I still keep seeing reports about them breaking so I don’t really know what’s going on there. Maybe they’re still pushing out old stock? However as far as handling and performance, my opinion is the rlaarlo is the best and would still be my pick. I may have been lucky with the axles.
With the recent aarma typhon grom blx recently being announced, I'm torn. Do I wait for the Rog1 updated version or the typhon? It's a tough call. 🤔
I looove this truck, but who knows how long until they fix the axles. I’ve been told they did get fixed, but people are still reporting breaks so not sure if they haven’t actually improved yet or if they just haven’t made it to the production models yet or what. So who really knows how long, or if ever?? My experience with rlaarlo tells me they will do it, but I just don’t know. The brushless Groms look amazing and I’m sure you’d be happy snagging on of those! I can’t wait for an outcast and Kraton grom myself!! Hopefully an infraction too!

@daveeltringham8695 I wish I knew the best option. Rlaarlo keeps reminding me they’ve improved their customer service and warranty but if you just get sent another weak part, it doesn’t matter. I also don’t know if or when a Kraton or outcast grom is coming. I’m sure it will as it will be major popular but I’ve heard nothing lol.
@DerbyCityRC I guess, being in the UK, access to rlaarlo parts is less of a quick turn around. It seems a fantastic truck, and the terminator shocks and wheels have been outstanding on my 2996a, but the weak cvd's and limited aftermarket parts concern me. Then I do love the look of that little truck and how much you get for your money. Appreciate the feedback and your opinion, though I'm no closer to a decision. I guess I'll wait to see if you get hold of one and how it stands up to a good @DerbyCityRC beating. That'll probably away my decision. Keep up the great work and thanks

They’re being a bit quiet about it, but looks like the axles have been upgraded when looking at the pictures of the spare parts on the website and they have the metal hinge pin brackets available. They’ve told me improvements have been made to the new production cars but not 100% sure yet if it has metal hinge brackets. Possible those will just be sold as an optional upgrade as it did take quite a bit for that to break. The axles are what most people have issues with and it seems those have been improved.

I really like your RC content, it’s amazing and this was another Awesome video man! Part of me wants to pull the trigger on this because I know I don’t put my RC cars through half what yours Or Tomleyrc cars see during durability test, but in Phil’s video the ROG1 and ZD racing barely made it through what he considers “the softer part/ 1stage” of his skatepark durability test before drive shaft snapped. Although the price will go up, I’ll most likely just wait for the “improved/stronger” second batch. Im sure they’ll definitely run another sell between the time next batch comes out and Christmas where it’ll be cheaper than the $199.99 price tag.

@Xxnonymuz oh i definitely still think it’s a solid deal. As things break you can buy the upgraded parts just like with any brand. Rlaarlo gets the upgraded parts out quicker than most other companies and some companies don’t make upgrades at all.

Nice video as usual man, that truggy version isn't nearly as ugly as it looks in the pictures online haha. Interesting what these companies are continuing to do with the OG LC racing platform. I've been rocking my truggy LC racing and short course truck for years and they are my favorite RC's. Cool to see some cheaper options for the platform and of course more parts development.
Also, the JSI might be the better deal overall, considering they come with two bodies, two batteries and a better full size version Dumborc transmitter/receiver for the same price or less than the "special introductory price" or the ROG1. With the money saved can just buy a 45a or bigger ESC and throw it in and you're golden. Unless you have to have the green accent parts rather than orange.
I still have LC Racing EMB, the buggy version. Smaller tires, so less all terrain than the truggy, but design and quality is top notch. I've only replaced tires and a steering servo

Seems like a mini version or the Omni Terminator, only without the center diff. Looks like it uses the same motor as the Omni Terminator (aluminum version).

@@DerbyCityRCI have the Omni Terminator aluminum version, and they actually come with a 60 amp ESC and 2852/3100kv motor. It's a really nice RC. They are not the same but, seems to be the little brother version. Either way Rlaarlo can make a quality RC when they decide to. Looking forward to seeing them come out with a nice true 10 scale or larger RC. I'm sure it will be epic!

I'm sure it's the throttle that's not up to par. esc. That's why It can't self right and the shape of the body isn't round enough on the roof for a self right vehicle.

Yes. I did a video a few months ago comparing the MT14 to an HBX that I modified and i definitely preferred the HBX. I also did an actual review of the MT14 a year ago or so. It’s definitely a good car but even without the center diff, I prefer this one.

Yes. Ya it took me a long time to find good places. Just used Google satellite images to try to find open areas and spend a lot of time scoping them out. Public schools on weekends are my most common places.

Quite a nice car especially for its size and price and very good components for its price and size and it’s wayyy better then a arrma grom trust me and loads more fun it looks like it’s a 3s ripper ! And it’s only $20 more then the granite grom plus crazy durable and the diffs are way better then on the grom
