Beautiful song and collab! The words and meaning are profound! We lost our son 2 years ago to accidental Fentanyl overdose. After years of struggling with depression and addiction, he wanted to be sober, happy and free, but addiction found its way into his head, I believe, to keep him from suicide. I fought for him, I fought with him, we fought it together. I miss his beautiful soul and kind heart. He helped anyone and everyone, but he couldnt help himself. Thank God I he knew how much I loved him, he knew he was worth the fight! But his death has left me in such a place that sometimes, it even scares me to catch myself thinking that I cant fight this life anymore, I cant push back on this void, that I just cant live without my son, TJ! I wont act on my darkest thoughts, simply because I wouldnt hurt my other kids and grandkids. But, damn, it's hard to survive in that dark place inside your own head!
My condolences to you and your family. You're son knows that you loved him very much and he loved you. I can't imagine the hurt/pain you have endured. I can only ask God to help ease your pain...I appreciate you sharing with the rest of us. Keep pushing back the darkness my friend. God bless your son TJ ❤️🙏

The only times I’ve actually acted on these thoughts were the few years when we had stopped talking. I deal with a lot of mental health & physical issues that have disabled me & things have been hard.

It’s a live video from a concert in which they donated all the proceeds from it to the national suicide center. It was also mentioned before the song that this song was also in dedication to his good friend Chester Bennington.

I've been in that situation where I've been lost and wanted to end my life and u heard this Song by Papa Roach Leave the Light On.. and as I sat there listening to this song I realized if I wasn't here where would my son be without his mother my husband be without me. And I finally realized that living is better than not.. and the light was left on for me. Thank u Jacoby of Papa Roach ur song saved me..
It’s almost like their voices sonically produce the exact opposite notes because they are both paired so well. They even have the same mannerisms when they sing with the arms. Either that or they each know how to hold a steady note and keep within their range for the song so well, wow!
@ Yes, and I also know Carrie doing close up face shots is very uncomfortable for her because a couple of years ago she was in a horrible accident and had to have facial reconstruction surgery. So she has said she is extremely self conscious about that part of her face. So I found the close up shot of her very revealing like she was making a statement that this message is more important.
