- It's like The Worst Thing About Your Persona 5 Waifu, but with Persona 4 instead. Today we roast the worst parts of our favorite Persona 4 characters, and shine a light on the worst qualities you may not have noticed. This one was pretty long a bit so I cut out Labrys, Kashiwagi, Yumi, Kanji, and Teddie, who were all originally in. We'll come back for them, someday.

Honestly, Rise's constant "Senpai" comments are really not the worst thing about her. The *real* worst thing about Rise is that she is so unbelievably clingy to Yu. She's constantly throwing herself onto Yu like he's already her boyfriend before anything is ever even made official, and even if you (as the player) choose to make her only stay as a friend, Rise will still continue to act like she's the only one who gets any rights to act romantically towards you and basically reserves you for Valentine's Day without your consent. I swear, Rise just has zero regards for Yu's personal space and his own personal wants.
At least with Sumire, she actually is patient with you and the feelings that she develops for you actually feel like they were developed naturally and didn't just come out of nowhere. And when she finally confesses her love for you, the next thing she says is "But the last thing I want is to make you uncomfortable". And even when you say you want to remain friends, Sumire is actually very mature about your answer and does not at all get upset over it. She really has the most mature response toward a rejection while still completely respecting your wishes for your relationship to remain platonic. Sumire is, without a doubt, a much better romance option than Rise.

Also, is REALLY hard, next to impossible to find someone who likes both Rise and Marie, if someone likes one they hate the other. It's more evident after the events of the Marie dungeon when she purposelly pisses Rise off. Which I literally said thank god for shutting her up, I'm not even dating her.

I'm still on my first playthrough (I just got to the Adachi/Ameno-Segiri fight) and I only managed to get to rank 4 with Naoto and I only got all social stat requirements after Heaven so that sucked
The fact that Adachi isn't here really says a lot about our society

We were robbed of a big fluffy pupper in Persona 4. Who doesn't love a waifu that talks about meat all the time. I'm always down with women who talk about meat. Chie is best girl.

I thought the worst thing about _all_ the Investigation Team girls was that when finding out they were 100% in the wrong and assaulted their _dear friends_ over a misunderstanding due to Yukiko's mistake, they show about 2 seconds of remorse before deciding "It'll be fine if we keep it between us girls!" and the matter is dropped. None of them argue against this suggestion, there's not a single line of dialogue remarking on Rise's casual disregard for people that saved her life or the influence doing such a thing might have on Nanako, who was _right there the entire time,_ they just say "It's our fault, but eh, fuck 'em!" and move on, nothing about that scene changing no matter Yu's social link progress with any or all of those present.
That in mind, nuts to all of them, if I go with any girl in the P4 lineup, it's normally Ai, who's prissy, but honest by the end. I tried Marie once, but despite her relevance to the story (given where she came from and what saving her means) making her feel like the "canon" choice, her route was surprisingly flat and underwhelming. Kind of like her poems.
the laziest way to excuse a character/characters when they do something that is undeniably horrible is to play it off as "comedy".

I agree with that, it was so completely out of character for all of them. And Nanako, literally an impressionable little girl? Yeah, she sure will take this as acceptable behaviour down the line, after all all her more grown-up friends did this. Jeeeeeez.

And here I thought the worst thing about Naoto was how she's a walking plot device to cover for the fact that the killer would have 100% gotten away if the rest of the Scooby Gang didn't have someone to solve the case for them. Silly me.
It's unbelievably frustrating that you have the letter in your possession, and all the characters just conveniently forget about it, because we need more red herrings or else the story isn't twisty enough. Trial of the Dragon isn't the worst thing about Yosuke, his attempt at mutiny and murder, and making me redo that scene 3 times is.

At least Rise got some character development to her like most of the other persona 4 waifus, P4 dancing all night was pretty much about her and on P4A ultimax she chose to have persona converted to help her friends in battle.
