When I was a kid in the 60s my bro-in-law's large farm in SE MO area employed several men. Now my nephew basically tackles the whole enterprise in a million dollar combine machine bigger than your house! GPS can steer it (so he can nap while plowing!) But even though this farm is right next to the Mississippi River levee - rich delta soil - I wonder if worms are present? I bet not. Spray on the nitrogen...and insecticides...and wonder why folks up & down that river system have higher incidences of cancer than the rest of the region...
