I don't know why I ever stopped. Probably long time bullying in my younger art days and things. No more of that. Time to start again and see what happens. Thank you for the kickstart. I needed that.
I'm not an artist so just wondering, would this look distinctively different if it was on black paper with white ink? I'm in Oklahoma so it's not as early for me.
That's a good question. Its hard to explain, but I'll give it a try. You can certainly achieve similar results with white on black. Its a lot of fun and I do it often in my drawings. If you're accustomed to black ink you mostly need to train your eye to see in a new way I suggest experimenting to find out what techniques you enjoy most.
I just missed the live this morning. Did you do that first drawing on white paper/black ink or black paper/white ink? I really like the black background. I would like to try that if thinking in reverse isn't too hard for me lol. Hmm, thinking of negative instead of print. Yes, I must try that. Actually, one could do it black on white, take it to computer and put a filter on it and reverse it. I still want to try it manually. ☺
I was at work and could not join you but i am watching it back now. As a person who watches you on a cellphone this setup wasnt the best. I usually put you in landscape and I can enlarge to zoom on something. With this setup it doesnt work that way. Still enjoying the video.

I'm so sorry it took me a while to respond. The first drawing was black ink on white paper. It took forever to fill all that space in black ink 😅.
