@@Sunhwk he put aven on the middle to max out aven stack potential and energy for dps, if yanqing or rm get blast atck, aven stack will easily fill out and energy for yanqing/rm too since aven shield is like a tank, but tingyun getting aggro everytime is funny xD
Getting hit primarily generates a lot of energy and secondarily, stacks for Aventurine. @@Sunhwk

Average Tingyun experience
I had the same team but with Ratio instead of Yanqing. Tingyun faaaar away from Aventurine on the other end. She still got hit the most during multiple runs and even died few times. Nothing is stopping the enemies from attacking Tingyun once she is in your team💀

I have Aventurine with Gepard lightcone which increases aggro for him, yet 8 times out of 10 Tingyun gets targeted…

don't you just love it when your preservation unit(highest aggro btw) has the most shield but somehow your harmony unit with the least hp is getting targeted

Aventurine has a 33% chance to get hit
Yanqing 17% plus an extra 60% modifier pulling him at roughly 8% chance to get hit
Both harm at 25%
Which means 50% of attacks with the added aggro deflection from yanqing you are getting roughly a 60% chance for your harmony characters to get wrecked.
People think preservation being the highest means high base % to get hit. It def is not like that and it’s why you see stuff like this.

Once aventurine showed up, yanqing changed from D to C tier, in combination with the natual 90% aggro passive from tingyun he is now B tier.
But only for single target fights.
He is still D if you have to fight 2 or more targets at once.
He's A because he's our precious baby boy, and I don't want to hear anything else😂❤
Hopefully apocalyptic shadow will make him a bit mroe meta
My gepard with his LC and under marchs shield cant taunt this much

Thus whole concept of 0 cycling has ruined player perception of how the game should be played.

To my knowledge, the only thing aventurine provide as a support is the crite damage debuff, so people who don't have aventurine should be able to use yanking without a problem as long as they have gepard.

there's one thing I don't quite understand, I have a Yanqing with 240% CD but 2.5k atk with the same team comp, and only does around 120k damage at max with his ult, does swapping out spd boot to atk boot really make this much of a difference???
The Ruan Mei is E1
2.5k atk is too low. He doesn't need spd boots if you have Ruan Mei/Sparkle and TY.
He needs 4K defence.

Robin's ult is really good when you have any type of follow-up attackers in your team, as she deals an extra hit of damage when allies attack when its active. Aventurine and Yanqing both have follow-ups. That + she provides good attack, dmg% and crit dmg buffs.

Finally my e3 yanqing from losing so many 50/50s can shine..
Placing him to the opposite side of Tingyun is indeed the best possible location.
I'm speechless, I couldn't even beat this moc until i got aventurine and even then i only 1 star it with jingliu and clara for the extra stacks of the debuff as most aventurine attacks are aoe.
After like 5 retries I managed to 3 star this bastard on the last turn of the last cycle (19) with E1 yangking's ult. (started with 26 cycles left with acheron on the first half)
Aventurine's amazing shielding abilities mean nothing for Tingyuns survivablility.

who could i use in place of aventurine. my bad luck got a 5 star 30 pulls in and lost 50/50 for 2nd time in a row and got e2 bronya now cuase of ti so sadly he aint comin home i got luocha gepard huohuo

use Gepard instead of Aventurine, don't build any crit rate and aim for 230% crit damage along with decent %atk stat, you'll end up pretty same damage showing in this video or even maybe better
Use Gepard; Yanqing needs a shield to keep his SS buff.
And as a Yanqing main, the damage in the video is pretty normal for Yanqing ^^
You can make it even higher by changing some of the builds in the video. Yanqing's best planner set is "Firmamint Frontline: Glamoth," and the second best is probably "Space Sealing Station."
You can also give Tingyun and Aventurine (if you got him) the "Broken Keel" set ("Fleet of the Ageless" also works), and you can give Ruan Mei and Gepard the "Penacony, Land of the Dreams" set.
You also don't need to build Yanqing with a lot of crit rate; he gives himself 20% CR with his SS (+30% CD) and an additional 60% CR (+30% CD) for his burst and 1 turn after that; you only need 20%-40% CR. You can focus on ATK, CD, and SPD.
@-jno3164 BTW Yangqing only needs 20% crit rate his kit gives him 80% crit rating so u got 35% of wasted crit.

If he is your only ice
There will be a new endgame favouring hunt characters, and he will probably shine as he did in this MoC. If you have many resources to spare and a Gepard/Aventurine, it's always good to have a variety of characters to use in any scenario. However, if your resources are scarce and you already have Jingliu, don't bother or do it later.
If you like him, YES! build whoever you like and have fun.
If you just want strong units, you might want to build him later when the new endgame comes, but for now, there are better DPS characters. He still performs very well, and I've been clearing most content using him. He needs a shield, so you will need either Gepard or Aventurine with him, but his build is extremely easy since he gives himself TONS of crit, and his dmg is pretty good against bosses.
4 cycles with yanqing😢. My E0S1 Jingliu with bailu take 6 cycles.

Yanqing can get good damage so long as he never takes any. Aventurine is exactly what he's been needing
