In WOMEN'S 3v3 matches, the basket could be 30 cm lower. It would be fairer, because the 3x3 ball is heavier than the one used by women in 5x5 basketball. Also, blocking and dunking situations in female games can be created, and that would make the matches more impressive and cool to watch.
The Brazilian federation once tested lowering the basket by 30 cm for women, the game was really cool and the public didn't even notice the difference in height. The idea did not go ahead, because in international games they would still play with the normal height of the basket, so in order not to get the athletes used to just playing with the lower basket, they did not implement this change.
But in the 3x3 the women already play at a disadvantage, because as I said the ball is bigger. And if 3x3 wants to approach the street basketball environment, many of the street courts don't have a 3.05 m basket.
