    Going the summer of 2023 in July. Will I have a chance of catching any from shore. I’ve caught many in Florida and it seems so absurd you can catch them from shore! Love the video!

    Still have a hard time looking at those cliffs without thinking of other films I've seen of them from the Spring of 1945. I'm happy to see you putting them to a much better use and giving me more pleasant associations to go with them. And surf casting for Mahi, like you said "That's so awesome." And a kitchen in barracks - wow, deluxe! We had a couple of bunks, lockers, and a TV. And you're right, you *must* be on guard against counterfeit beer.

    Ryan, you killed it again. This video is unreal, you need to be part mountain goat to fish those cliffs, sure would hate to take a tumble , don't know how you'd get back up. Your videos are becoming so informative and professional, you could end up with a TV show.

    Nice vid bro. There is a spot here in florida where you can catch mahi and wahoo and sails off the beach. Its the only spot in the world I've fished that I've been able to do it.

    For future reference, you used a liquid measuring cup for dry ingredients. Hope your stuff arrived in good shape. It was always a crapshoot in the late 80’s.

    I currently live in Osaka Japan but will be moving to a home close to this area in Okinawa (worst time amid this whole crisis I know). Interested to know what months are best for catching Mahi Mahi from the spot in the vid. I'm assuming around October-November? Everything has been late here on the mainland (rainy season, summer etc) what about Okinawa?

    you can use savage gear line through jig.. the line goes through the jig and the fish wont be able to shake the lure off using the lure's weight..

    • @RyanMorie
      @RyanMorie  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tala Tala you can use a lot of stuff, a Mahi will eat almost anything. Very few things cast as far as an 80gram hunk of lead though 🤙🏼

    • @RyanMorie
      @RyanMorie  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Authentic Angler yeah, no reason for it, other than that’s how the jig happened to be rigged. Probably overkill tbh

    So glad I found your channel man, I live about 5 minutes from Zanpa. What rod/reel do you use to target the Mahi there?

    • @RyanMorie
      @RyanMorie  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use a Van Staal reel and a Shimano Coltsniper 10' rod. Any med-heavy spinning set-up will work
