A proper modern design on this one Chris that will keep you fit for sure! Expensive though! The carbon build results in great practicality, but you would expect better range. At least closer to their claim! A bigger battery should make a difference I guess. The security system and projecting light ,signals are a really nice touch here. A great E bike indeed! 👌👌Thank you for the detailed review as always✌✌
Thansk for watching as always. Yes it's a good 1st gen product, I hope the next model will have a different seat post design, better range and a battery that doesn't pop up. Could be just my one as my prototype first model didn't do it!
I got one and got stolen unfortunately thanks for the review but quick question Urtopia vs JOIEEM EBIKE-X ? which one would you vote for, I know it might be difficult Thanks a lot for your effort
My main concern is with the structural integrity of the frame without a full length seat tube. This puts a lot of stress at the head tube and the rear axle where the seat stay and chain stays meet and those places don't look like they're reinforced. The weight of the rider bouncing up and down cycling the stress points will eventually weaken the carbon fiber.
Yes it's perfect for me as I set this height for myself. I was refering to shorter riders as this seat post cannot drop right down. About 1 cm more lower that's it due to the frame design.
They are a bit of a pain, but I have an eBike from Italy coming up in the channel that has a bit of a solution to that with a belt tensioner that you can use to easily take of the drive belt and then remove the rear hub. The motors all unplug.
@@Techtablets my rear tire went flat. I took the bike to a bike shop so I wouldn't have to mess with that. They put a new tube in for $40. Money well spent.
Price kills...😅 Battery popping up is not a nice thing, especially if it's a design flaw. Battery drain in idle it's OK if you leave the bike in a public space, to avoid theft, but when you're home, you should be able to turn everything off via app, if the bike is sitting in a safe place. At that price they should include all the accessories, come on!
The odd thing is the prototype battery didn't pop up on me but this one does. Could be the battery latch but it seems fine. The only way to stop the drain if you're not using to for long periods is to remove the battery. Slightly annoying but an easy fix at least. I agree for the price you should the mudguards and kick stand.
@@Techtablets i would definitely take out the battery 🔋 so that is less appealing for thieves.... Just wondering if the rain would be a problem ... Since it looks like it would be like a bucket 🪣 where they placed it ..
Only a 2 year warranty...I would expect with no seat tube the vertical flex is going to cause some cracking. IDK why they went against conventional diamond shaped frame with a conventional seat tube which also allows full adjustment of the seat height. To make the frame stiff enough to accommodate no seat tube, they had to beef it up other places which only adds weight...seems really stupid to not have a seat tube that is continuous to the crank. I would wait a couple years to see if these things break on people before purchasing. No bike I ever purchased had such a short warranty on the frame.
The seat post can go up, but barely down and it will be an issue for some short riders. They will be forced to cut the seat post something you shouldn't have to do.
Hmm I suspect it’s actually well over 250w in reality but they just say it’s 250W I see maybe brands do this. If NCM can send me one I’ll review it and see for myself 😃
@@Techtablets That's true, sorry for being but rough in my last post, I just think the Das-Kit controlers do amazing Job on the NCM ebikes compared to other brands.
THEY ALMOST NALED IT!!!! I wish we could have fingerprint reader, GPS, voice command and so on as OPTIONAL cause I don't really need those an could save some money as the bike is already super expensive. I wish for this price range it also had more power and torque all of ride1up and most class 3 ebikes have more power than this bike. Other than that everything else seems perfect
An original design, but not necessarily successful. 2800€ for a low-powered bike, provided without a kickstand or mudguard?! For the price, we would expect a little better.
Ebikes aren't for lazy people lol, I have a Trek Rail 5 and due to the battery and mid motor can now go on 80km off-road rides instead of my limit of 34-40 without the assistance.
@@Techtablets i have 4 ebikes, all of them go over 40 miles/hour which can`t be replicate by a simple bicycle, in europe thou at 13 miles/hour you will be surpassed by every single bicycle plus joggers, lemme guess, you took off that limit...

Looks good. The only things I would change are the rims (three spoke), and tires (slicks).
I have the new model coming with gears now and no belt.
@6:48 You sit on the bike with your toe on the ground so the seatpost is correct for you!

good review! I'm 6' / 183 cm, what frame size shall I get?
Go with the L this is what I use.
The thing I'm worried about with rear drive motors is when the rear tire gets punctured, it's going to be a pain patching it up

No problem 👍
A good first effort, Gen2 will be better for sure.
Well they have a good base to build on and improve it. Starting with the seat post.

Excelente video 👍 👏
Thank you! 👍👍
Would love a geared version, without voice activation, without thumb reader, without turn signals.
Well they have the Chord I reviewed with gears but still the voice activation and thumb reader crap.
I like it , but is the bike avilable for use in INDIA?
.
No sure. I just review the bikes I don't sell them. Email urtopia support?
Wow nice looking bike.Shame about the battery drain and it coming loose unacceptable…
This, and the non-adjustable seat post and handlebar.
Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but I love bikes from a high quality steel with lugs.
The seat post can go up, but barely down and it will be an issue for some short riders. They will be forced to cut the seat post something you shouldn't have to do.
Not available in the U.K. Ah well.
Really well that's silly, it should be shipped there I wonder why it isn't? Britexit issue?
Can you please review NCM Milano+ or any NCM ebike please?
Then we can talk if 250w cant do steep hills

15 kg is very heavy for carbon fiber. The battery must weigh a ton! :)
It is heavy as normal bikes I’m reviewing now are 14.8 with no carbon fibre 🤷♂️
Only one question: Where does it made in? What country?
China is where it's made.
So...how come none of these carbon fiber e-bikes have a fender?
I think it's an extra you can order
How tall are you? I understand you got the Large model.
184cm
Design was great..
Very nice design but it limits the amount the seat post can drop.

How to order for overseas use ?

Would have been nice.

OMG it’s $3200!!!
Way to expensive and not even a XL version!
Not cheap no.
Far too expensive
Which mean don't buy thxz u for the info
Their new model the Chord is better i think than this one and cheaper.
5 kilos is heavy for carbon fibre
15 is yes but it’s due to the battery and motor etc
pointless and expensive, just another bicycle for lazy persons

No I have the limit on my trek, but yes some of the other chinese ebikes I have like the GF750 are now unlocked...
