I’m so excited for this! I use the Minchiate as my primary way of reading, and now there’s a modern deck! Mine comes in the mail today, haha. I love this system because it separates the layers modern tarot has put onto the cards, so I don’t have to wonder if the Chariot means movement or if it means Cancer because there’s a completely separate card to represent Cancer! Same for the elements-the ace of wands can truly represent the beginning of a new venture, but Fire represents spirit and creativity as a whole. I just love this system so much!
I love that this is your primary system and 100% yes on the element cards, that is a wonderful addition and I do not use astrological associations to my cards (I know them but don't use them) so this is a great way to keep those elements separate but still use them! Very great idea on the creators to pull this lovely system into the modern deck options!

I haven’t used the deck yet to read for others, but I’m about there and the expansion will add to that experience.

I had heard a few negative opinions of it eg "it's just a way for them to make more money" & "it doesn't bring anything to a reading or add more value to it" You have really helped me understand how to use something like this. Sold!
I got mine today! I'm very happy with it (though as a Pisces who hates cold weather I have gripes with the snowflake -- it's beautiful, and totally fitting, but... brr...). I imagine I'll keep the astrological cards separate and use the element cards as spread positions / significators more than anything. For the box, I haven't tried yet but I suspect I'll just leave the guidebooks out.
Sounds like you have a great idea on how you'll use it! I did wonder about the snowflake and haven't dived into it yet, I do like the different "forms" of water idea!

Really enjoyed looking at the expansion and I’m very glad you did a full walkthrough to see all the cards, hehe. Will add it to my wishlist. About the printing differences between the first and second edition, I believe you would also have to take into consideration the batches themselves. I bought mine for example at the beginning of 2022, which is supposed to be a second edition: the box is the second one, all cards with light backs, the five of pentacles has been updated… but the typo in 3 of pentacles is still there, some of the cards weren’t tweaked as they said they would, two cards remain darker (Wheel of Fortune like yours and High Priestess, even though they brightened them up for the 2nd ed.) and the vulture in my five of swords is cropped (you can only see the beak, not the full head). It doesn’t bother me really (except maybe for the Ace of cups which looks off with such thick linework). My point is, despite my deck being a second edition, some of the old art files got used instead and it’s a mix between 1st and 2nd edition’s artwork. I was a bit bummed when I first noticed it, but it doesn’t matter when I’m using it. The deck is still gorgeous and has become a wonderful tool and companion. I just wanted to point out that there might still be differences between printing batches due to mixed up files. That’s my guess.
I heard of the spacious tarot quite a lot! But I've never actually looked at it yet. I will check your walthrough out for sure. I can clearly see how interesting it is to connect an archetype energy with a sight (for a lack of better words). This "lack" of characters makes you bond to whole different degree with the energy of the cards, I feel. It would also be a very enlightenning mean to question your environment. Almost like this deck was made by the Empress from the tarot. Thanks for your beautiful generosity in sharing your experiences with your decks. It is a delight to hear you talk about it in your videos. Very helpful as well.

For any folks looking for this deck in Europe - Kismet Berlin have opened pre-orders, they are expecting their shipment by mid-August (and the creators have confirmed on their Instagram that this shipment is en route). They do ship to the UK, but only for orders over £135 - see their FAQ for details (the dreaded B-word strikes again...). My understanding is they are only going to have deck+expansion bundles and expansions available for now. The creators have indicated (again, on their Instagram) that they are looking to start discussions with other stockists sometime in August/September. I am guessing this will include Little Red Tarot, the Wootique, Roi de Coupes, and Tarot.NL. Note the word 'guessing' - I've not communicated with any of the shops/sellers and this might very well be wrong. LRT is on their well-deserved summer break, as well. Allow all of them, both creators and potential stockists, a few weeks and things may very well clarify. Miss Kelly - thank you for the lovely walkthrough. I'm a lurker who rarely catches any live streams (ahh, time zones) and a relative newbie to cartomancy, but I enjoy your videos very much. I totally missed the different packs for the different versions, I guess that’s what happens when I order on my phone the minute the email arrives and I’m not wearing my glasses. I think I ended up with the 2nd edition matching expansion pack which is probably good because I would not be able to match the edging i did to the 1st edition deck, I have both. Thanks for sharing how you will use it, I’m on the fence with how I want to use the Astrological cards.
Kelly, would you do a walk through on the positions of your diamond shape spread? I know you did a video on it years ago, but I can’t find it! I used to use a modified version of this spread and I really enjoyed it, but I haven’t used it in so long I’ve kind of forgotten the positions! Or maybe link the video you did? Thank you! Liz

As l was going through the expansion pack I kept thinking "this is familar, but what". It all clicked when I saw you video.
