Well explained, great to see some 737 content again 😊
Welcome B737 content from 737NG Driver. :P I hope we can see more. Greatings.
Very timely....I'm getting into VATSIM, and was searching for how to listen to two Com frequencies at once on the PMDG....mystery solved, plus a lot of good additional info. Thanks as always!
Emmanuel this is a great video! Learned a ton! Keep it up my friend.
Thanks a lot for the help, now using this principle!
And again I have learned a lot! Thanks CAP
Excellent video, thank you very much!
Excellent video. Thank you.
Very nice. Learned a lot.
Hi Emmanuel, thanks for the informative video. I have three-ish questions regarding the I/C (INT Airbus) switch:
- If you switch I/C (INT) on is your mike "hot"?
- If you switch I/C (INT) on and press the transmit button on your yoke (sidestick) do you then transmit on your selected mic channel? If that is true, does your colleague also hear your transmission?
Danke für deine Videos, VG aus EDDN
Excellent guide!
Idea to have IC switch spring loaded ... How anyone would come out with this 😂
Fantastic video!
In the regional airline where I live, they also use this trick for the flight interphone. The rubber band or even a little piece of paper folded to block the switch in the I/C position.
Thanks for this video ! Very interresting as usal.
Very useful , I've always wanted to know
Thanks for another very interesting video ... loving your content... never know what to expect next... always fresh subject matter and often topics not covered previously by anyone else.
That's great to hear, exactly what I'm aiming for!
Thank you so much for your effort sir❤
You forgot, on GUAARD! And meow meow
Great video! Would you also use these panels to talk to the ground crew who do the pushback?
Yes, they listen to the flight interphone.
Would be very intersting to find out how it works in e.g. the C-Series. At least from the outside the radios seem to be a bite different
I know it is self explanatory but you didn't explain the MKR and SPKR. Otherwise great video! I learned something new and ive been flying the pmdg 737 for 10 years lol
I feel like doing a pa on ATC frequency is something that most pilots would do at least once in there career.
If they are not careful indeed.
the first video explain this over the youtube !!!!
Thanks for the explanation once agian!
One question, though. What is the flight interphone used for? You said to talk to your colleague, but that would be ground crew then?
I assume that conversation within the cockpit is always transmitted to the other (co)-pilot, or not?
Thanks in advance!
Hi, the flight interphone is for both, communication between the two pilots and pilots and ground crew.
@@A330Driver Ah! Thanks! Learn something new every day! ;-) So, If I wanted to talk to the other pilot I would need to flip the switch?
@@A330Driver Oh! I forgot to ask you one other thing. I had an NDB approach last week and the frequency was 400.0... But I couldn't get met ADF to that frequency in de boeing. What am I missing? :)
You'd switch the hot Mike of the intercom off when the ground staff is connected and use the PTT i stead to avoid your ground crew hearing everything you say and do.
@@HawkEyes223Never had any problems with the ADF freq. Did you try all three parts of the knob?
Hey there do you know how to latch a non sticky swtich (in MSFS) ? The ones mounted with spring keep (obviously) coming back and can't do a full checklist as sometimes you must look somewhere elseto monitor the result. Thank you for any advice
Hi, in some Addons you can click the switch and drag your mouse away before releasing it again. Doesn't work in all Addons though.
If you enter the VOR station do you need to reenter the ILS Data again before arrival ?
Not sure I can follow your question. Only one frequency can be active at a time so if you switch the frequency to a VOR frequency of course you need to tune the ILS again.
I wonder why the non-sticky I/C switch exists in the first place... What problem could it possibly solve for Boeing engineers to consider making an entire variant of the panel SKU just to have it?
Maybe a problem in their wallet? 😂
Maybe they don't like their co-workers and figure pilots are the same? 😂
@@A330Driver touché 🤣
So when you are eating you don’t hear your colleague chewing with your headset on.
that's why you can simply switch it off again into the neutral position.
How do you talk to the ground crew?
They listen in to the flight interphone.
hello! how does the contact with ground handling perform? what should I turn on?
Hi, they listen into the flight interphone. Same thing you use to talk to your colleague.
@@A330Driver danke for the reply! appreciate it
How do you Tune the radio when talking to the Ground staff?
...you dial in the appropriate ground frequency?
Not Lewis gave you the correct answer, but if you're talking about the ground people and not ground control from the ATC then you don't tune anything, but the ground people will connect their headset to the plane. In the a320 this is located FWD of the nose wheel, in the same place where the GPU is connected. Then just verify you are receiving in interphone and or the "radio switch" is set to "INT" or "I/C" in the b737.
Use the intercom, they listen to that.
@@A330Driver wait does the PMDG 737 simulator ground crew audio if using the correct radio settings? Only ever heard the pushback crew audio
@@Not_LewisNo, my answer referred to the real plane. Does FS2CREW have ground comms via the switch?
