That thought never came to mind when I was in a relationship. Now that I was single I was like heck why not. So I did. Packed my bags and went to LA for 4 months and my life completely changed. my boyfriends parents also did not approve of me. they literally called my parents and told them that we need to break up and didn't want to meet me until we were engaged. but long story short, my boyfriend didn't listen to them and we ended up getting married 2 years later and have celebrated our one year this june :) if someone truly loves you they will not break up with you for reasons like that. so carly, be happy that he showed his true self to you before even more years went by, and now you have a chance to really find the person you're meant to be with!

I thought it was going to somehow define me forever but I left to travel and show him I could be whoever I wanted to be without him and now travel is my life & everything has come together! I dated a guy whose parents thought I was too fat for him...even though I wasn't big I just wasn't skinny enough (him mom was literally the size of a twig) everyday his mom would try to convince me that I should leave her son...there were even times that she would bring her son lunch and she would see me and she would throw me a can of tuna...i went through a lot...he then started working with a girl who the mom really liked...I hadn't seen him in about two days when I decided to visit him...it was late and it didn't occur to me to call because I visited him all the time without calling...and since we were still together I wanted to see him..when I entered his room( which has its own entrance)...I found him in bed with the new girl (mind you I had no idea he was seeing her) and the worst part is that his mother had told her to move in to their house! Needless to say it was the last straw...but it all happened for a reason! I'm in a new relationship now...been so for 7 yrs and he is the most wonderful man!!! He takes care of me and tells me how beautiful I am...and if anyone was to say I am fat or ugly...you can guarantee he will take it up with them lol

This sounds really similar to my first breakup. Together for 18 months, long distance. He was a member of the Air Force and we lived 8 hours apart. I worked really hard to maintain a solid commitment to him and I truly thought that once his 3 year stint was up, we'd settle down together. One night he drove me home after a shocking dinner date, and as we sat in my driveway he said "I can't commit to you". It haunts me to this day. Suddenly all the effort I put in trickled down to nothing and I felt alone and broken. But, fast forward a year and I'm now in the most positive, equal, loving and healthy relationship. During my time being single I learnt SO much about myself, my goals, my passions and my morals, and evidently found a guy who supported and loved me for exactly who I was. Thank you for sharing your inspiring story, and good on you for following your dreams above all else!
Gods grace saved you from the hell you were ready to marry into. He becomes a piece in your life quilt. A piece needed for you to become who you will be for the man God has for you. I thought it was going to somehow define me forever but I left to travel and show him I could be whoever I wanted to be without him and now travel is my life & everything has come together! I have just turned 54 but I LOVE your videos..so, you know, just to inspire you that you could still be doing this when you're 70 and you'd still have followers. Go for it, you're so clearly flowing in your calling and gifting.
I dated a guy whose parents thought I was too fat for him...even though I wasn't big I just wasn't skinny enough (him mom was literally the size of a twig) everyday his mom would try to convince me that I should leave her son...there were even times that she would bring her son lunch and she would see me and she would throw me a can of tuna...i went through a lot...he then started working with a girl who the mom really liked...I hadn't seen him in about two days when I decided to visit him...it was late and it didn't occur to me to call because I visited him all the time without calling...and since we were still together I wanted to see him..when I entered his room( which has its own entrance)...I found him in bed with the new girl (mind you I had no idea he was seeing her) and the worst part is that his mother had told her to move in to their house! Needless to say it was the last straw...but it all happened for a reason! I'm in a new relationship now...been so for 7 yrs and he is the most wonderful man!!! He takes care of me and tells me how beautiful I am...and if anyone was to say I am fat or ugly...you can guarantee he will take it up with them lol

This sounds really similar to my first breakup. Together for 18 months, long distance. He was a member of the Air Force and we lived 8 hours apart. I worked really hard to maintain a solid commitment to him and I truly thought that once his 3 year stint was up, we'd settle down together. One night he drove me home after a shocking dinner date, and as we sat in my driveway he said "I can't commit to you". It haunts me to this day. Suddenly all the effort I put in trickled down to nothing and I felt alone and broken. But, fast forward a year and I'm now in the most positive, equal, loving and healthy relationship. During my time being single I learnt SO much about myself, my goals, my passions and my morals, and evidently found a guy who supported and loved me for exactly who I was. Thank you for sharing your inspiring story, and good on you for following your dreams above all else!
Gods grace saved you from the hell you were ready to marry into. He becomes a piece in your life quilt. A piece needed for you to become who you will be for the man God has for you. He will probably become a gardener because his parents are crazy and he will eventually lose his mind just like his mother. Good luck to him and his flower garden.
