I love fall, it's so beautiful!! 🥰 Anyways, a few notes on today's video... 1) I finally bought a mic so I can do better voiceovers 😇 2) However, there is no mic input on my camera which is why the audio is a bit garbage sometimes 3) I learned how to do captions!!! Let me know if you like them! I decided to figure it out for this video because of the dodgy audio in parts 4) I did not film inside any buildings because in most of them you are not supposed to...and I'm still a student (one who is very easy to identify lol) so...no rule-breaking yet...if someone from the university sees this, please hire me so I can make better videos 🥸 5) I know this is shorter than usual, but it took just as long if not longer to edit 😂Please do me a solid and watch til the end That's all!!! See you next week!
It's so beautiful! A shame you can't also show us the insides of the buildings, but definitely it's more important not to break rules while still a student. Thanks so much for the tour!!
Perfect time to share this video right as Japan closes their borders yet again to absolutely everyone! Haha. Great video! Like others have said, very pretty.
Wow, thanks for the tour! I'm moving to Tokyo for a post-doctoral fellowship at Tōdai in January, so this was a great preview! I hope the red gate will be open to walk through by then. So excited!
Yeeeeeeah! Thanks for this, you totally understood the assignment 🤣😂 It was really nice to see a bit more of the campus, at least till the day I can finally go there myself… どうもありがとう!😄😄
Lovely tour! I remember watching Dragonzakura, the drama years ago, and they made a huge deal out of getting into Todai. So it's interesting to see what it's actually like.
I really appreciate the subtitles! I know they must be a pain to type out but they are great! Love this video so much! Todai is one of the grad schools I’m looking at for after I finish my bachelors so it’s cool to see what the campus actually looks like.
This looks like my home university, Vanderbilt. When the yellow leaves fall on campus during autumn, it’s so picturesque! Would be cool to do a post grad program here someday!
What a beautiful campus! And as you say, seeing it in the fall with those majestic trees is a wonderful experience. I love that you can enjoy nature while you study. Thanks for sharing.
thanks! yes, I love being able to take a nice walk there, it really doesn't feel like central Tokyo...until you hear the car horns and ambulances and stuff from the street outside😂
I wish the japanese government was more chill about letting foreign students in T_T. It sucks to not be able to visit the campus even after 9 long months of waiting ;( .But thank you for the virtual campus tour !!!
Hi. I want to visit Tokyo university on Sunday and plan to walk from ueno station. Can you tell me which is the closest gate from Ueno accessible to visitors? Thanks 😊
International Students who still can't go to Japan raise their hand 👋🏻 anyway, thank you for this video, Allison. Some of us still can't go to to Campus 💔
Hey! I'm not sure if you will see this but I got a question. So im a 20 year old, turn 21 in May, but I really want to go to college in Tokyo university .. I live in the US, but I was told I can see about enrolling into a college with programs where I can go study in japan as a work visa? Wasn't sure if it was true Also while going to college, are you able to work and live on your own successfully? Like in a small little apartment or studio. And be able to still have fun once I'm awhile..? Thank you for whoever answers! 😊❤
I'm actually dreaming of taking my master's degree in journalism at the university of tokyo. Is it really expensive to study there? I'm from the Philippines tho and thank U for this uni vlog (campus tour) ❤❤❤

I want to study undergraduate physics, are the courses taught in english there?
What are you a student of? That your major is taught in Japan's #1 university in English?
I'm actually dreaming of taking my master's degree in journalism at the university of tokyo. Is it really expensive to study there? I'm from the Philippines tho and thank U for this uni vlog (campus tour) ❤❤❤
i’d look into getting the jasso or mext scholarship!
