I've worked construction and yeah... The things you'll see on a job site will make you stop and wonder how humanity has survived this long.
I only scream at people at jobs for doing stupid dangerous shit. Someone could accidentally ruin the most important machine on a site and Id just be annoyed. Climb into a box crusher to retrieve something you dropped and I will absolutely lose my mind

Same at my place. Though I get heckled for calling out safety issues and challenging them as thats my job and take it seriously. It amazes me how little care is had for their safety or the possibility that they may never go home one day and leave behind mouths to feed.
There are a lot of us. We are expendable.

I honest to god watched this during my OSHA 30 certification class less than a decade ago. The instructor played it as kind of a goof the last day of class.
I had to watch it the original for an MSHA refresher a few years ago. Man, I wish we could have seen the RiffTrax version. Would have been much more memorable!

I helped a friend remodel part of his house and we would mimic the guitar lick from this short every time we picked up a tool, used a ladder, or had an 'idea.'

That "Three Points of Contact" thing is, in my experience, good advice for any job that involves climbing stuff. The riff is hilarious, and so is the video... but you can't deny it helps you remember some useful tips!
One place I worked at didn't quite understand it; they said the points of contact MUST BE both feet and one hand on the ladder AT ALL TIMES. So, if both feet have to stay in contact with the ladder at all times, how do I move one foot to the next step? Best part is, it was at a gas station in the safety literature for stocking the candy bars.
A lot of the safety videos are. It's just the good advice is packaged so substandardly.
It's good advice presented in the most confusing way possible.
I wound up waking up in the hospital in Detroit, climbed out the truck cab carrying my bag, fell and hit my head on a parking block, I sued the hospital because the old doctor gave me the highest dose Vicodin, highest dose Xanax, highest dose Adderall, highest dose Wellbutrin, and the highest dose of morphine.... I never even took a Tylenol 3 before so I had no idea what they were, a day later I'm at home watching TV with my dogs stuffed animals (who were all moving their heads and talking to me), I got them popcorn and drinks, then I recorded video of them because I thought the world needs to see this magic. A steel milk jug got up and walked around my yard lol, my gf woke up the next morning and took me back to the hospital, they suspended the doctor, and could not believe what he gave me, the whole reason he gave me the Xanax Adderall and Wellbutrin was in my chart from when I was a child I had depression and ADD and he asked if I was sad or anxious, I said I was because I was hurt and worried about my loaded trailer lol

I watched this in my high school metal work class. Loved it then, even better now.
I had an instructor for my junior high shop class who was like the living epitome of Faces of Death. Every day he would tell us all some horrifying story about how somebody sliced off a finger or lost an eye. I know he was just attempting to get across that we should respect the inherent danger of the various machines and tools, but it came across instead as terrifically morbid. Which, for me and my fellow 8th-grade buddies, was more funny than anything. So, I guess, that didn't quite work how he intended it to. (On the other hand, none of us in class lost a finger, so maybe it did work.)
So I think the goofy honkey tonk theme song for this short is kinda catchy, and as a personal joke I went to iTunes to see if I could purchase a copy.
Sadly, they do not offer it.

I had a family member who, while they were "remodeling," (turning a home interior into looking like a goat shed) was aggressively bashing stuff. A buddy was driving by, and saw outside walls being pushed out at least a foot. He hadn't stopped, the family member might have dropped the house on his head.

Nah, this is actually a pretty solid safety video that brings up some good advice, which is why it was shown to trainees for decades.
It just happens to also be really goofy, because of the catchy theme song and weird cowboy narrator.

So I actually had to watch this in high school in 98 As a freshman went to a vocational school. I want to say it was for like diesel shop. We all just kind of laughed and joked along with it made our own personal rifftrack to it.
I once went up on a order picker man lift without harnessing myself in first. Luckily I didn't fall, but I also didn't notice I wasn't strapped in until I lowered myself back down. That was my last day on that job.

I can't for the life of me figure out how Glen got injured. They even show it from two different angles and it just looks like he takes a swing with a hammer and then out of nowhere the thing from Alien tries to pop out of his chest
I think a piece if the mushroomed metal got hit by the sledgehammer at just the right angle and with just the right pressure that part of the mushroom shot off and hit Glen in the chest.
That's my guess anyway.
