That does make sense. And an ending like that seems more fitting, as the shy guys, particularly the red one seemed to know quite a bit about kart racing as seen in part one, and a trick like that seems a little off. It's fine but I also like this.

This animation has such a great story and narrative. Yeah, Toad effectively lied. But still... The depth of it all is so damn great. Best animation series I have found so far in regards to Mario.
