    Brilliant! Have been searching for a better solution for macro on GoPro instead of the tiny 'square' 15x lens. How did you find the motion stabilization, did it still work? Does the macro effect still work without the 'square' 15x lens on the GoPro and with the 52 mm adapter and 52 mm close-up lenses? What are your thoughts on the weather resistance of this setup? Could it go underwater? Thanks in advance

    • @FrankCarrollCreative
      @FrankCarrollCreative  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The stabilization is only ok more so because your dealing with macro, underwater if you use the original gopro lens with the 52mm adaptor it will still be waterproof because that adapter only goes over the gopro lens. Still macro but not as much as using both, but the 15x will not be waterproof ... Hope this helps

    Great illustration on how to use a macro lens on the GoPro. I recently shot a video and used a macro lens to get some close-ups of the ice on a river 😁 I can definitely recommend getting one, it adds another dimension to GoPro filming! You also get that shallow depth of field that's otherwise impossible to get with this little camera.

    I bought that 15X 'macro' lens for a GoPro 11, and was unimpressed by the close focus distance (still about 3", not a true macro lens). Your video is intriguing, adding another magnifying lens on top of that, kinda like wearing two sets of reading glasses to magnify the image further. Neither lens is a true macro, but maybe the two together gets over the mark? A GoPro camera can get into many tight spaces that a normal camera cannot, so adding extra magnification seems like a convenient work around. It's about $1400 less than an Laowa probe lens, how bad can it be?

    • @FrankCarrollCreative
      @FrankCarrollCreative  ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly ...its not perfect but as you say wayyy cheaper than 1400 for a camera that's not made for that, thank you for watching

    Hello, Thanks for the video. Is there a Macro Lens you would recommend for GoPro 11 with the Ribcage Modification. I am trying to DJ Livestream and need to get closer. I’d appreciate it. Happy New Year 🎉

    Great video Frank.The added steps were really helpful :) I am curious with the Neewer lens, you mention 52mm in the video but the description is 58mm and the link 55mm. I'm assuming I would need a 52mm version for the adaptor, but I can't find it anywhere online. Am I missing something 😅

    • @FrankCarrollCreative
      @FrankCarrollCreative  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm so sorry .. it was the wrong link for whatever reason ... I corrected that now ... but if you do a search on Google for the Neewer 52MM 0.43x Professional HD Wide Angle Lens it should come up ... the correct link is now in the description ... thanks for tuning in. You could also use a step up ring.

    Hello! Great video but, maybe it's me, I didn't understand one thing.
    In the video you used:
    - x15 macro lens
    - 52mm UV adapter (only the adapter not the filter)
    - Neewer 52 mm
    I wanted to understand the remaining:
    - 52mm close-up filter kit
    Is it to be used in replacement of the Neewer 52mm?
    Thank you very much and sorry if the question is trivial.

    • @FrankCarrollCreative
      @FrankCarrollCreative  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, if you mean the last shot ... I used them all together ... The 15x and the 52mm filter ring with the 52mm macro lens ... Hope that answers your question ... Thanks for tuning in

    • @SaltySimone
      @SaltySimone ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FrankCarrollCreative Hi Frank, thank you very much for your reply! Yes I was talking about the last shot!
      Okay, so you used the 15x + the 52mm filter ring + the 52mm lenses, but where did you put the Neweer? I didn't understand if the Neweer is an alternative to the 52 mm lenses or if they should all be put together.
      I know it sounds banal but I'm only just getting into this world and I'm a bit confused. 😆
