Wily, Back in the mid '70's I had an uncle just like you that I followed around on the farm, from about 8yrs old until they quit farming 20 years later. The knowledge you are passing along to that youngun cannot be measured! Thanks for the great lessons!
Wily,I followed My Grandpa around and He was a Great Mechanic and He forgot more than I will ever know, He was a great Mentor, and the way luke responded to you Yes Sir a very respectful young Man Don't let Him go to Seed, work with Him and You will watch that Seed blossom. Take care Wily,Be safe
Your grandson will remember that for the rest of his life. Those are such great times spent with your grandkids. Keep up the good work. God bless you Wiley.
Thanks for a great video Wiley and John Luke. It was interesting. Super video Wiley with your grandson John Luke. The smile on his face when it started tells the story. Appreciate you showing him how to do things and letting him drive the tractor. That boy will never forget today and being with grandpa starting a tractor. Very nice Wiley. Must admit I have some wet eyes watching your grandson. That is a nice tractor yet. Just a little TLC and touching up and it will be a nice unit. Runs real nice. Good engine I believe. Good buy for someone. Nice going John Luke and Wiley. Enjoyed it. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Great job Wiley You are a truly awesome person getting the old beast up and running and your ability to work with the youth, it is something he will always remember God bless you and your family for all the hard work you put into your awesome content and for being a kind and caring person with others especially with the young Thank you sir for your kindness to others, your great videos and your faith in God
As usual this is a quality vid, and what makes it interesting is that Wiley is an everyday nice bloke coupled with the fact that the video contains no annoying music or FX. Does what it says on the tin, I like that! Thank you 🍺
Yet another successful Will it Start for you. It was good to see your Grandson John Luke working with you. He will be able to gain knowledge and skills from you. I’m sure he won’t forget driving a tractor for the first time, I remember my first time behind the wheel.
Good video! John Luke did a good job helping out with the camera as well as the starter button. I am sure he enjoyed driving that tractor too! Memories...
That's awesome Wiley making memories... Another 😢Great job. Enjoy your day with your day with your your grandson I. guess it's your turn to buy ice cream.
Good for you little John 👍🏻👍🏻😃😃 by the way good name too 😂👍🏻👍🏻 my name is John also. Hope you had fun buddy that’s really cool stuff hanging out with your pop pop enjoy it bud I wish I could have had more time with mine 👍🏻👍🏻 god bless yall.
That starter was giving you a hard time, Wiley. i was thinking that after you connected the cables up and it wouldn't turn, that engine sounds good awesome video Wiley 👍👍👍
John Luke gets one of these for filming: 👍 and another one for driving:👍. If the starter hadn’t been lazy, you would have had this one running 5 minutes after you got there. Y’all done good. 🥸👍🚜💨💨✅❣️❣️
Dang Wiley I wish I could replace starters as easy as that one is I’d be a happy man I can’t remember the last time I had an easy job at all never have any room to work and wires are always too short
You may have not have noticed but if the starter looks like it may be a challenge to remove, we dig deeper in trying to start it and probably still needs a starter when we leave
Your camera man did a great job with the camera and as a helper. You need to take him along more. Maybe some day he can tote batteries. Good job to you both 👍
Wiley Wiley Wiley 90 percent of the time the problems. With starters that are not used for many years is the solenoid. I have made this comment before we a Cat Challenger tractor. It would start fine all season. But after parking for the winter and unhooking the batteries. It would not crank in the spring we would get new batteries installed. And still it would not crank. So I changed the solenoid and it would crank normal. But the next spring we would have the same problem. I think I installed 5 solenoids before I got one that was weather proof. I don`t under why you and Hank do carry a small step ladder they don`t take up much room. I don`t know if you ever viewed Grandad`s Blowing Smoke channel I thnk those Gentleman are in Austrailia. They have mentioned Hanks channel so I know they view you. If you have not viewed Bruce in AUS. He has a nice video of freeing stuck injectors in a Detroit. I knew this would take more than 15 minutes. Thank you for another nice video and saving me from Hank`s jokes.
I really had given that so much thought on step ladder but i am just not ready But your right. How that would make my life easier. Hank can still move around pretty good
That is not an Allis Chalmers engine! However you did a great job getting it started. Looks like a Cummuns. Allis Chalmers made a great tractor I still farm with them even have an 8030 that is fwa. Nice Job
You have a great grandson. John Luke started it --and drove it. He has such good manners and respect like so many young ones raised in a Christian home. "Yessir" told me all I needed.

That part didn’t make it in the video. The engine had been swapped out
She's a runner
Your camera man did a great job with the camera and as a helper. You need to take him along more. Maybe some day he can tote batteries. Good job to you both 👍

It was a5.9 it had been swapped out
The Wiley character doesn't even try the crank bolt. To see if she's stuck. He must not care if it's stuck.
You have a great grandson. John Luke started it --and drove it. He has such good manners and respect like so many young
ones raised in a Christian home. "Yessir" told me all I needed.
