Ask Lester and Jami, I sent them two misters for their horses last year. They never used them. Maybe they still have them. Your chickens are so blessed to have you caring about them in the horrid heat. ❤😊
I thought they used the misters over where the watering station was last year. They had one there and a mister to the horses where Waylon is now.
We used these for many years on the patio in the evenings. My son hangs out in his garage and strung some across the top of his door and used it in the summer to hang out in. They are supposed to reduce the heat by 20°. We have also used them along the fence line in the backyard for my son's outside dogs to stay cool. I have mentioned these many times to Lester for his animals and he never did do it. It evaporates pretty quickly so it doesn't cause standing water underneath.
I sent them two I believe it was last Summer when they had the Harsh heat spell. They bought the big misting fans and never used them. 😢

I had to laugh when Buddy kept putting that box in front of your face Stephanie then you said you’d read the instructions. Wonderful idea to set up that mister for your chickens. I've read they can lower the temperature under them by 20-30°, that's why I ordered on yesterday for my porch. 😂 I am so excited to receive and set it up. I say go ahead and do your porch too, why the heck not? ❤💧

Its even been sweltering here in Toronto and the city has cooling stations with mist in parts of the city. This was such a "cool" thing to do for the chickens
My daughter, who lives in San Antonio, has a mister system around her covered patio. It's wonderful on these horribly hot days.
I bet ya'll have the happiest chickens on Morrow Hill. Everyone else's chickens are gonna be jealous. I had one of those misters for my horse a few years ago and she'd use it occasionally but wouldn't stay under it long. She'd rather be grazing in the pasture so we took it down. Now we just hose her down. My donkey hates water 😂. Misters feel wonderful and I'm sure your chickens are gonna love it.

Hi guys! Both of my married kids live in Phoenix, AZ and most businesses have misters. My daughter's school where she teaches have them too! They come on every day at 1 pm. Most restaurants have them going from noon to dark. They truly cool the air down from 10 to 20 degrees. Way to go Denmans!

What a "cool" idea! lol. They use those misters in Las Vegas on the store and casino fronts for you to walk under as you pass by. They are wonderful, especially with the dry heat that they have in Nevada! You guys make such a great couple. I love your sense of humor and how you make each other and us laugh too.

Hi Stephanie and Buddy. Just a suggestion. You can put an inline water filter that hooks up to your hose. Like you use on an RV. The mister nozzles clog up easily, and it would help with the mineral buildup.

We call those foggers. We used fans too blow the mist around. They are used in commercial chicken houses. I spent many years working in chicken houses. It will help them so much.

Stephanie, you mentioned one time about Buddy could cut his hair, hope he doesn’t, but you said not his beard. I just to know why you love beard?? I think everything just fits with him. When years ago my sister and her husband and some friends would go to Vegas and at certain areas they had a misting units. Dry heat my butt, is was hot!!!❤❤❤

I have a bit of experience with this type of system and just a heads up the misters may become clogged and all you have to do is soak them in some vinegar for a while to clear the holes. So sweet of you to do this for your chickens!
The misters are wonderful! We have had one on our back patio for a few years. I’m in Central California where it is 110+ ! You will love it!

We had misting on our back patio in Arizona. Definitely helps. Those were so easy to do.
