I have lived in Dubai recently for 1 year and I can vouch that each and every word spoken by guruji is cent percent true. The loneliness, materialism and zero soul of place kills you from inside. After 2 months you have seen the whole country ( if it can be called so ) comprising of deserts, malls and amusement parks - you ask yourself what are you there for and what’s your purpose ( unless the money being made is really a differentiator)
First where are the jobs in India, that's why people are going to other countries, even guruji said to go. Even in India, going to other states makes people lonely away from their parents etc. In other countries, people have formed groups based on languages, region etc. so they have celebrations, festivals etc. so they are not lonely, this is simply being put out by some people.
I am staying in Dubai for last 5 years, I am happy here, the income here are way better with no taxes , i was able to support my family, regarding rental yield even with higher maintenence you can easily get 5-7% yield. The indian community here is very strong and one wish can build great circle here , all are likeminded people who have come here to earn money, i feel guru ji or akshat all the same , nobody should get influenced by there personal life , choose what to hear from whom.

In my opinion, today if you are young, have talent and skills to make money, Dubai is a pretty good place to have a jumpstart to wealth generation. I have been there, and i like the vibe, but i can only say it about the good 6 months of the year. If you are middle age or have a family, it is going to be expensive. My colleague who work there tell me there is no social insurance and pension, expensive schools for kids, etc.

I grew up there for 8 yrs, finished college and never went back even tho i miss some friends relatives and cultural pastimes unique to the gulf. When ur a second class 'citizen' it doesn't matter how much money u make or which 1st world country i live in. Not saying that India is a paradise, but being an actual citizen even of a third world country makes better sense.

In my opinion, today if you are young, have talent and skills to make money, Dubai is a pretty good place to have a jumpstart to wealth generation. I have been there, and i like the vibe, but i can only say it about the good 6 months of the year. If you are middle age or have a family, it is going to be expensive. My colleague who work there tell me there is no social insurance and pension, expensive schools for kids, etc.

Very true as a goan i tell you we have a different approach then rest of India. I don't say you are wrong but both are correct in its own domain. Air bnb is basically illegal as you cannot do commercial activity in a residential premises. Tourism is a industry and should be treated as one. Residential electricity, domestic water connection, residential land conversion at time of construction, all makes daily rental of flats , villa illegal. Just a matter of time till someone files a petition in the court and clarity will follow.
