Really glad to see you and the car making it alright. And very happy that the accident was not worse. I was the one driving the truck and I felt super horrible after the fact.
Hey thanks for that. I'm glad things turned out the way they did. I appreciate you stopping and helping me out. Thanks for being here and hope you stay with us for more crazy adventures!
Maaan!! You rally had me in the edge of my seat when you went to pass those trucks😮😮….!🤦🏻♂️💪🏼 The car reminds me of hot wheels “Bone Shaker” awesome…!!!🔥🔥💪🏼👍🏻
Awesome video can't wait to watch more keep it up man and Awesome rat rod headed to hamburg Arkansas to pick up 1929 Ford Tudor sedan body and custom roller frame Sunday!!!! Can't wait to get it built and riding !!
Nail Head Buick!!! now that's an adventure. ! bought a 1966 c50 in Albany Texas and drove it back to Houston in 110 degree heat and broke down and had to pull the radiator and fix it along side the road. My laser thermometer was reading 160 degree heat on my bumper. Then my brakes started locking up and had to work on them every time I stopped. I just found you today I am a subscriber.
Yea we weren't traveling to fast (maybe 35-40). The road had a bunch of sand there, when I saw the other truck coming towards us I tapped the brakes but the back end just went skating. It was a poor decision on my part to try to pass I should have just kept cruising along.
@@BuildersGarageJ031 we have 3 hot rods, 2 are just fine on the road. The 31 Coupe, no idea. Glad you weren't hurt, and it seemed to be minor damage. I tell my daughter Peyton sometimes the best brakes are taking your foot off the gas. I've gone around a time or two from tapping the brake. Really like the channel. Check ours out if you haven't.
cool content ... hot ride! you have damaged me beyond even Dr. Phil's help. obviously, your pitching in on Robby's derby car was what got him the win. (but he'd never admit it, right?) have a great day.
Dude what an awesome video! I just found your channel. I have a couple rats myself, your motivating me to finish my next one. That spinout scared the shit out of me! That was crazy, you handled it much better than I would have thats for sure. I guess I have some catching up to do, Subscribed and watching. Thanks for sharing such a cool trip ✌️
Regardless of just making this round trip, that is a summer weather rig... your just young enough to handle such conditions. I was young once and road my 54 panhead from alaska to florida. I left fairbanks with it about forty below zero for a good ways... just at the end of march or start of april. The wife and I made it there and it was the first of may. Tossed a rod once then burnt a hole in a piston so time to build again and keep going. All in all, never would do that again at those temps. After Disney World was over for us, we started to come back... spotted a 57 ford two door hardtop.... nice looking rig, offered a trade and gave another twenty five dollars for the car... for a total of eight hundred dollars. The ford was nice and only had like twenty thousand miles on it and all miscellaneous stuff was new. My backside was hurting and the wife never did walk quite right after this hard ride. We got to colorado, and we needed some heat to find out the car only had air conditioning... a bad start to a long trip home... we hacked the system so the air was heat instead (forever) and made the trip home without too many issues again... but in a car with wrong clothes... went only thirty miles of near freezing weather was enough to dang near sell or burn it on the spot. Glad I never burnt it but it was close as we were real tired of cold cold weather... meaning your ride could not of been all fun and games.... even though you are a positive person, young enough to go through a struggle. Trying to remember what caused your rig to spin out while passing as it happened similar to me back in the day and blamed the steering box yet that really didn't hold all the water.. thinking the air current must have had something to do with lift and flip.. glad for good reflexes and some luck
There was another semi coming toward us. The driver of the rig I was going to pass waved me around him once I got up farther I saw the truck coming so I hit the brakes and it broke traction on the rear.
Now that you've got over 100 subscribers you can get some kickback from the TH-cam gods. This is the only video I've seen but I'll play catch up since I'm now a subscriber. The ratrod is pretty cool I'm looking forward to seeing more of it. stay safe
Cool stuff man! Glad you didn’t get hurt. I will say I had the thought man I haven’t seen that guy in a while, he’s starting to look old…then crap I’m the same age haha.
So, maybe I missed it, but what caused you to spin out on that road? Dude, you went from 100 to 900 in month?!?! Nice work! This was a great video and a sweet adventure!
Got on the Brakes to hard when I noticed another semi heading towards us. Yea it's been a crazy ride so far, thanks for the support and taking time to talk with me today!
@Builders Garage dude, your videos are way better than mine, it ain't gonna take your channel long at all to take off! I'm working on that video we did right now.
Hi I just found your channel and I like it. You’re a likable interesting guy. Just a little word of advice. Your background music is way too loud. We should not have to struggle to hear you over the music. In fact, when you are talking that is what we want to hear, not background music. Video would’ve been much more enjoyable if I could hear what you were saying, and the background music was not so loud and playing so often. We don’t watch channels because of the background music they play my watch for the good Contant, which you have. So please cut way back on the background music and never play it when you’re speaking.
You have probably been ask a hundred times but what electric water pump is that and are you happy with it. That road trip was an adventure to say the least
I hit the brakes as another semi was coming around the corner. There was tons of sand and road grime for me winter and one of my back wheels locked up upon braking so it spun me around.
Perfect example of background music being too loud and unnecessary is when you were standing out in front of the Robbie Layton shop after you just got there can’t hear a word you were saying. Don’t give a shit about the music I care about you.
There was another semi truck heading toward us. The truck driver I was passing and I both slowed at the same time so I hit the brakes to drop back behind him. Doing so proved to be a mistake as the road was covered with sand and debris from plow trucks and weather.
Really glad to see you and the car making it alright. And very happy that the accident was not worse. I was the one driving the truck and I felt super horrible after the fact.

That's sweet! Sounds like a fun project.
Thanks for giving Robby a hand with his derby car. It had what it needed to outlast the other hitters. Both teammates and others.
It was fun, it's been a few years since I've built one but working on it kinda gave me the bug again
Cool channel. Glad I found it. Keep making and I'll keep watching. Cheers
Thanks Eric, we appreciate your support!

Awesome! Glad you made it, stay tuned with us for more.
All that water and did not freeze up in the cold weather??? Love your car!!!
Nope it didn't freeze up but it did smell like boiling frogs for a minute after filling it up haha.
Better than me. Whole time you were looking for water, I was like bruh just use the ol piss trick.
Haha that would take a month of Sundays to fill up with that!
Great video! I hope you explain the spin out and give us a walk around. I thought I saw a little damage.
That's a good idea. I will try to include something on the next video.
@@BuildersGarageJ031 yeah I was curious what happened to cause the spin out. Very cool truck good luck keeping the videos going
Second this. An armchair recap and a walk around of the rat rod with what you plan to do next would be a video worth watching. Keep up the videos.

Glad your safe.

Pretty nice "road trip diary". Not too much hassle or stupid music. Keep on!!

Yes sir!
I like the video. Man either the cab of your rat rod has vary hard mounts or its seting right on the frame
Both! Haha. It's not too bad when your on a decent road. I've driven it on road trips across multiple states.
Holy Hell, last count i had was 5.5 gallons and you had to get MORE, thats one large arse radiator
A couple of the first jugs weren't completely full. Bone dry it holds almost 7 gallons of fluid.

Nice...🤔.....nutty...🙄....but in a granola bar kind of way.....but don't keep taking such risks...
