I had the 1.5T in my 2018 Accord. It worked quite well but definitely lacks the grunt of a V6 and the 2.0T completely destroys it. Unfortunately, Honda has gone strictly the efficiency route and has pretty much eliminated the fun to drive aspect of the Accord.
Yup. I previously owned two 2018 accords. One was a 2.0 10 speed and the other a 2.0 6MT… I currently own a 2023 accord 1.5 LX…this thing is a slug compared to the 2.0….I have to floor it to get a response lol. But nonetheless,it gets me where I have to go…Honda claims that it was low sales of the 2.0 that made them drop it…I also previously owned a 2016 accord coupe V6 6MT…that car was a lot of fun. It had a nice grunt from that V6…
@technologicallychallengedt8549 except hybrids "eCVT" actually aren't cvt's. In fact, its not an actual transmission but an electric motor that gives it instant power/ torque. These are commuter cars not build for speed but for efficiency. See a real hybrid sports car and you will be blown away compared to any car you have ever driven.
I hate this new exterior over the last model, but the interior is crazy good. Ill personally still take the 25 camry over this. Just my personal thoughts on it.
Uninteresting and uninspiring. People have said it looks like an old Ford Fusion. What is Honda doing? Trying to capture the grandma side of the market?
Honest review. I test drove the EX and was impressed with ride, decent power and handling. But the taxi cab interior in the LX and EX is a turn off (vinyl steering wheel, flat black dash, etc). Hope they bring back a Sport version with the 1.5T like last generation Accord.
I want a pure ICE version with leather interior, that's all I ask. Because I do prefer the Accord over the Camry, but if the new Camry coming out looks good and has that leather interior for the gas only version, it will outsell the Accord.
@bradt6740 I would consider the LX (I don't like sunroofs) and would get aftermarket leather seats and wrapped steering wheel. Total cost probably under $2k
Agreed…I wish Honda made a V6 sedan with a manual…That used to be the Acura TL…I had a 2012 Acura TL with a manual…def was a sweet car and sounded great. But that 3.7 started to burn a lot of oil after a few years of ownership
Faster cars are definitely safer. Sure, generally speaking it is safer to drive any car at slower speeds to allow for more reaction time, however, faster cars give the driver the flexability to accelerate faster when it is needed (merging on the freeway, etc). Fast cars just get a bad rap because many folks abuse that speed and drive faster than is necessary, legal, and/or safe.
I have never bought a car and i could have a long time ago if it wasnt for drugs or alcohol. Im trying now to get this car this year by February. Ive been wanting a honda accord for years. My mom had one in 2002 and yeah we need a new car soon. Looks so beautiful
My one gripe with this car besides the severely lacking powertrain, is the guage cluster. Why the folks at Honda decided to give the screen a gigantic plastic bezel is beyond me
I want one of these as my next car. Great design and reliability. But I think a car of this size should have more HP. The engine seems very underpowered for 2023. Makes it a much harder decision.

Nice video, but unfortunately Honda has lost a customer since 2005. The Accord has always felt big, but has lost the "fun to drive" that made it a huge success. Too bad. Best of luck, Honda.
I have the 23 ex i love the car but i might go for hybrid next time cuz it lacks the 12 inch display and etc, the ride quality is so good tho and the looks i love it hopefully they can add more features to the gas models like 360 camera angle etc
People at honda need a overhaul, the exterior is disgusting and looks like its a 2005 Passat, the power train is horrendous, underpowered. Interior? GARBAGE. Terrible design heading into 2024.

Thanks for posting the video excellent in depth review.

Congratulations Honda, you managed to make the most uninspiring design of the 2024 class. Accord’s have been know for being reliable, affordable cars with a nice styling. Now they made this car into a sleepy, uninteresting, grandma style car.
