Ghost Recon: Wildlands - Male/Female Nomad Safehouse Cutscene Comparison 1080p PC

- Comparison between the female and male Nomad during the cutscenes in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands, not including any interrogations or small scripted event-like cutscenes during gameplay, I'll probably do a video about that at some point in the future.
Footage has been recorded after Special Operation 3 in December of 2018 on PC at 1080p.
There are a few visual glitches during certain cutscenes, I had to play those certain levels over a few times to ensure that they are the least glitchy during this compilation. Just wish Ubisoft could fix them some day.

Nomad in lore is a very calm individual in even the toughest situations. And the male nomad in wildlands fits it perfectly.

So do I. This is why I chose a *female* Nomad in Ghost Recon Breakpoint that time around. Not only the voice acting is better than male's I actually enjoy better Breakpoint's VA than Wildlands',

Considering if you are a siege fan playing you could create nomad and comment down if you did it
Nomad voice here is still better, breakpoints voice is just cliche for military characters.
For the male character I agree but the female in breakpoint is better
The breakpoint nomad is better for what he looks like like the tough grizzled veteran ghost with the beard
I prefer the Wildlands actor as I was more attached to how he sounded.
Guess we could chalk this up to a different universe where Walker turned on the ghosts and Nomad sounds like Batman
You wanna talk about cliché?
I’ll admit, Breakpoint was cliché on players at Erowyn all having a burly bearded tatted character look. Everyone looks the same more or less… after a while. Especially if your trying to be diverse and innovative for standing out, and the limited customization options for your base look in terms of voice, scars, faces, hair, features, colors, and so on.
But Wildlands was cliché about giving characters voices that didn’t match how they looked, or didn’t look like they’d sound. El Sueño genuinely sounded menacing and had the look to match, but Nomad?? He had the beard, the grizzly vet presentation, but sounded like he was fresh out of college… where the hell did all his testosterone go, lol. I mean you can’t push a character like he a hard ass type… and make him sound 50% less than he looks. At that point your beyond cliché -

You see thats whats really stupid of many people like you for instance, you automatically assume the way they should sound just by the way they look and have a cliche voice like breakpoints. Nomad is in his late 30s and Wildlands Nomad's voiceover Joseph May is in his 40s. Just because you get older or buffer don't mean you're voice is gonna change to a deeper tone, thats not how it works. Thats why Wildlands Nomad stood out as something different than your average main protagonist voices. Its like the same s**t on how people complained about Ryu Hayabusa's voice in Ninja Gaiden Black not matching and why just because he's very built. And you calling me a cliche! Gtfo🤣
I actually like the Male nomad voice actor more then the female.
For me it’s the opposite. Because she’s pretty mush Amanda Ripley from Alien Isolation.
So just imagine Ripley with predator tech.

For me it’s actually the female, mainly because of certain cutscenes where she sounds much better.

I was initially let down that they switched the voice actors, but could've dealt with it if the face models weren't so bad and had ported the ones from Wildlands with new graphics, so I've been just running with the male Nomad since I got the game.

Technically this mission takes place before grfs. Even it didn’t it was the Hunter team

Yeah but in canon Nomad's a male though, and Joseph May is way better as Nomad than breakpoints cliche military sounding nomad.
Tribal Soldier I know. But it’s still the character’s choice for the character to be male or female. I chose female. And I do respect canon.

I must be the only one who finds breakpoints voice more satisfying then this.
I mean yeah, I get the whole cliché of military characters thing your right… but let’s be practical about things (playing devils advocate here.)
In trailers and in his character development, they presented him as a grizzled vet built like a tough guy and rocking a beard befitting of male envy for lumberjacks everywhere… and at the same time have him sound like a graduate from UCLA in his late 20’s??? That’s like a basketball player, shooting hoops in high heels…
You wanna keep the voice that’s fine, but give a better fit to his looks for presentation. You can’t have a tree trunk character, and have a a voice softer than the bark… cliché perhaps, but not entirely outlandish of common sense
Ghosts are supposed to be extremely well trained, and educated. They are required to speak multiple languages. They are essentially a mix between Rangers and CIA ops. I like Nomad's voice, he's supposed to be tough because he solves problems.
I agree with this! personally i dont think that male nomad in breakpoint sounds better compared to wildlands, i just dont think his voice in wildlands fit him that much, i also hate how male nomad moans everytime he gets injured in wildlands but thats just me
I was in long range reconnaissance as an NCO in the Army. The male voice in Wildlands not only feels much better and believable to me, but the dialogue is better written as well. Male Nomad in Wildlands actually says stuff I bet most people don’t pick up on, but really add some believable depth to him. I think male Nomad in Wildlands is my favorite game-character soldier in any game. He sounds the part, especially when he gives orders coming up on an objective to his guys. It’s very well done, and I think it was written for guys like me.
They broke the mold of Ghost Recon story lines with Wildlands... then used the pieces to mold a story line for the first episode of Breakpoint. Tsk tsk WHIle the overall mechanics of Breakpoint are superior, nothing even comes close to Operation Kingslayer.

I personally hate the sound of my his voice while I prefer the actor here in wildlands. I respect your opinion though.
Eh he just sounds too cliche for a military character. I personally prefer a more realistic sound I guess? Not all soldiers sound gruff and everything.
