I put the sand tape all the way up to the front.when you back off the lift you might lock the front wheel and loose control.i did but i recovered before the bike went down. Just my 2 cents.

That is way overkill. by the time you bought all of that you could nearly be able to purchase a double wide lift rated for a trike. You could not put a trike on that lift. Which would be the only reason for me to modify that particular lift
I just use a cylinder block for the kick stand and walk the bike up with it in first gear.
I am handicapped and can still walk the bike up on the lift.

I just picked up this lift and it cost me $519.99. Then the $89.00 for the side ramps. $50 for the pipe and $5 for the bolts. If you can get a double wide ramp that is rated for 1500 pounds for $665 I'd be amazed. Cheapest double wide 1500 pound ramp I could find cost $1500. So yeah, we are at half that cost.

All these engineers who recreate the wheel makes me wonder why they just didn’t built the concept from scratch.

I put Wood 777 Cams on my 13 CVO ULTRA. . Not that hard to do.

Get rid of the wood strip and tighten the u clamps some more you won't have to have any blocks and ramps will be solid. That's what I did for mine and it works very well

I have the same lift, I have a very slick floor, no cracks and yes they slide, especially if you are trying to push a bike up on it, not drive up, I wanted that wheel chock but got the grey cradle style instead, yours is better for just the reason you talk about, tire changes. These lifts make working on the bike a dream, anyone spending time in the mud, or on concrete on your knees needs this. When I was 25 not an issue, 50 its an issue..

those tee bolts that go to the floor ues a hole saw above them then make a handle to tighten & back off . i use a 4 by 6 under ramp then use a 2 by 12 to make ramp lower pitch HAPPY TRAILS
