SONG TO THE AURORA- DREAM OCEAN - Başak Ylva

This month, I’m excited to reintroduce one of my original songs, written and composed by me, Başak Ceber, in 2015 and recorded in 2016. This track is featured on Dream Ocean’s debut album, "Lost Love Symphony". The orchestration for this song was masterfully crafted by Joost van den Broek and Ruben Wijga, adding a rich, dynamic depth to the composition.
As I mentioned earlier, starting in 2025, I will be launching my own crossover project and performing in various concerts. I’ve decided to include this incredible song in my repertoire because it holds a special place in my heart and resonates deeply with my musical journey. While we frequently perform this song with Dream Ocean, I believe it’s a piece that I connect with on a personal level, making it a fantastic choice for live performances.
Given my busy schedule, I decided to breathe new life into this song with a brand-new video. I hope you enjoy it!

What an incredible voice! I remember the first goosebumps I got when I heard Tarja Turunen singing with Nightwish. I think it was 2005 and the song was Ghost Love Score... That angelic and at the same time dark timbre of voice with that beautiful and epic composition led me to a very particular feeling.
