Both are DCTs but nexon uses wet clutch where as Venue has dry clutch. Dry clutch is comparatively more prone to wear and tear, so companies usually don't allow for aggressive launch in dry clutch DCTs.

I once visited a tata showroom to see new nexon. It looks good,rear design now feels way better,interior is a ton improved. But when i put it in first gear,boy the gear stick travel is sooooo long. I remember putting gears in my uncle's 9 yr old ( or something) grand i10 car. Its nearly 1/3rd of Nexon 's gear travel( the distance stick has to go inorder to engage the gear). Also the build is strong but lacks quality as many complains many issues. Also there are some good news coming from here and there that tata started taking service support seriously. Hope they'll improve With hyundai,why there's no 4 star safety rating to new creta ? After verna,i seriously expected that kind of safety with new launches😐

I've driven venue turbo many times and it has pathetic turbo lag, have to press the clutch twice for it to start pulling because it suffers torque loss as it's a tiny engine. It is not about the car, it is about the driver. In the end, both the cars are at same level in terms of power specs but Hyundai's DCT definitely lags as compared to the DCA in Nexon.

The hyundai dct is quite conservative in the first two gears. Manual variants of both eould result in the hyundai winning comprehensively. But as far as dct is concerned, the nexon has the edge.
You should have brought the City 5th Gen because in the 3rd season the driver who drove the city wasn't able to shift till 7200 RPM resulting in the loss of the City..It would have easily defeated the sonet and etc cars
I drive nexon fearless plus dca . I think not a single car is made in India till now that poses the high short pick up and extreme dragging sensation. Please don't compare it with German cars. Because they are building with M POWER technology and anything else.

No, having extra 200ccs doesn't matter when their power and torque is the same.. And even though the Nexon is heavier, it's 'tuned' to be quick whereas Hyundai's DCTs are tuned to be less aggressive for increased gearbox life.. Even the Skoda and VW 1.0L ATs are quicker than the Venue despite having 5 PS less power and more weight.. Tuning matters in a DCT bro!

The hyundai dct is quite conservative in the first two gears. Manual variants of both eould result in the hyundai winning comprehensively. But as far as dct is concerned, the nexon has the edge.
It's Venue DCT launch issue, engine wise Hyundai TGDI is quite ahead of Tata turbo. Tata platform is better.
You should have brought the City 5th Gen because in the 3rd season the driver who drove the city wasn't able to shift till 7200 RPM resulting in the loss of the City..It would have easily defeated the sonet and etc cars

No, having extra 200ccs doesn't matter when their power and torque is the same.. And even though the Nexon is heavier, it's 'tuned' to be quick whereas Hyundai's DCTs are tuned to be less aggressive for increased gearbox life.. Even the Skoda and VW 1.0L ATs are quicker than the Venue despite having 5 PS less power and more weight.. Tuning matters in a DCT bro!
