Clown. Forcing that embarrassing flop Mudryk into the lineup when Jackson or Nkunku will bench him permanently. Ignoring Cucurella who is the best inverted fullback chelsea has shows that you know nothing and you will always be clueless.
Great video which I’ve been meaning to watch for some time. Love your X page but you’ll make your way with TH-cam You’re coming along Keep it short and consistent bro It’s how you’ll keep the fan base
A very important thing to note about Maresca is he himself also shown many ways of how to use Enzo to the board members. He will bring the best out of him I'm sure.
One option to create a 3-2 build up in a similar shape is using a 4-1-2-2-1 set up where the DM (say Caicedo) drops in between two CBs. For me this allows you to get the best players on the pitch at once. Nkunku and Palmer as AMs in the half space, Jackson/New striker to start, a midfield trio of Enzo, Caicedo and Lavia/Gallagher Reece playing wide. It does hamper the Keeper being brought into the build up and has the benefit (or downside to the board) of benching Mudryk
Great video bro. I'm excited learning about this manager. The difference between him and Poch is Maresca actually tactics and a system to install. It's exciting.
All of these selection problems can be fixed with a slight tactical tweak. Instead of inverting the RB to midfield, you overlap the RB (James), and invert the other fullback (Cucurella) to RCB. This way, you start with Enzo-Caicedo double pivot, Nkunku and Palmer in the half spaces, James and a LW (My preference is Jackson) giving the width, and one central striker (Sesko). It still gives the 3-2-5 shape in posession, and plays each player to their strengths. I hope Maresca will consider this.
@@abzda1700 the Rb/Rcb in Leicester’s system (James Justin) rotated up plenty of times last year, Reece might not be in the box as much in this system but he’d still get in threatening areas often
@Gbformula9 Justin wasn't Leicesters RB/RCB. Off the ball, we lined up with Justin at LB, Vestergaard and Faes in the middle and Ricardo at RB. On the ball, Justin played LCB, Vestergaard in the middle, Faes RCB and Ricardo at CM with Winks. Your point remains though. Faes and Justin did get forward plenty as wide CB's with plenty of opportunity to cross from deep. If it were me, I'd have Colwill in the JJ spot. Fofana in the Vestergaard, James in the Faes role and Gusto inverting to CM alongside Caicedo.
@@kevinmcnab5670 yeah I meant Justin was the LB I just got it mixed up, since in this scenario the LB (Caicedo) would be inverting instead of Ricardo from the right, the RB for Chelsea (Reece) would do a lot of the same things as the LB for Leicester (Justin) did
24:11 this is my prefered lineup for the start of the season, with Gusto slotting in for James while he's suspended. Maybe replace Nkuku with Lavia and push Caicedo up the pitch a bit for better out of posession balance but other than that spot on
Something interesting to think about is the fact that Guardiola is always going to be Guardiola but the year that they won the treble there were times when they were uncharacteristically direct I hope that Enzo Maresca has learned from this and possibly was even part of that tactical change when it was necessary if you've noticed even with Kevin De bruyne in Midfield Haaland hasn't looked the same this year it makes you wonder if Pep has been leaning on his assistants when the going gets tough
I agree with every placement in your ideal team and can't wait to get behind the team with Maresca. The Caicedo role just reminds me so much of Sarri chucking Kante in a similar role, with Jorginho as a pivot/regista. Hopefully the fans won't revolt against Maresca for putting Caicedo up a little higher like Ndidi was.
Great video! The Enzo-Caicedo dilemma is a real thing and tbh im a little worried but I assume Maresca must have a plan if he managed to get this job and convince the SDs. Enzo in the Winks role sounds nice but I never want to see Enzo as a lone 6, as an 8 it makes sense but then another question appears. If Enzo and Palmer are the two 8s, where does the off the ball press and duels come from that Ndidi provided? We are selling Gallagher (fine by me) but its still a dilemma
From what I’ve seen, the FB inverts to make a pivot, and plays very close to the 6, so he wouldn’t be alone. I think Caicedo might play the Ndidi role attempting to win the ball higher up the pitch, similar to what Sarri did with Kante. Besides, Enzo was perfectly fine as a 6 under Potter. We had a really good defensive record that season. In a more compact, structured system, he’ll be fine.
@@Josh-ek2zu Did you watch him under Potter? He didn’t have many issues and was arguably our best player for that half season. But yeah, we will see how it works out next season.
A few problems, I don’t believe Mudryk is an out and out wide winger like Madueke, he’s more of an inverted winger if you look at what he was doing at Shaktar. Second, is Nkunku going to deal with the physical battle of being a 9? Even if he drops in, a CB will follow him. Third, the problem with Reece being an overlap RB is that he’s just too heavy to be running up and down the pitch the whole game for his body, hence why he gets injured too much. He would have to be a pivot at best.
Marcin Bulka is actually a Chelsea academy graduate... i think he was sold to PSG at the end of 2019 or the beginning of 2020 because he was in Chelsea when we won the Europa league over Arsenal in 2019
Btw can you do a vid about our academy players? Used to watch PL2 and u18 games back in the day but don't really have the time for it so it would be nice to get a more detailed viewpoint from someone who follows this
I would like to see Diogo Costa, Jorrel Harto and Michael Olise as new signings. Diogo Costa ist the perfect ball playing goalie Maresca wants. Jorrel Harto the perfect young prospect for the left back, back three center back position. And Olise can be world class on the right wing. on the ball set-up: 3-2-2-3 Diogo Costa Fofana-Colwil-Hato Reece-Caicedo Palmer-Enzo Olise-Nkunku-Mudryk off the ball: 4-3-3 Diogo Costa Reece-Fofana-Colwil-Hato Palmer-Caicedo-Enzo Olise-Nkunku-Mudryk
This was very well researched. Definitely a like from me. To me Enzo and Caicedo need to swap around. Enzo should be the brain. That is his biggest attribute. Colwill should never go near left back. Seeing you can’t have Enzo and James together due to legs in transition. Bring Cucu in at left and to invert next to Enzo. James has to be RCB. The driving CB. Reece Tosin Colwill Cucu Palmer Enzo Caicedo Noni Nkunku Mudryk Build up Reece Tosin Colwill Enzo Cucu Palmer Caicedo Noni Nkunku Mudryk Mudryk should only start if coached probably. Otherwise Sterling. I prefer Jackson to Nkunku in every way outside finishing. Should Jackson also show more promise he should definitely start.
No striker signing needed. Nkunku and Jackson are good enough if Nkunku can stay fit. Chalobah is leaving, and I like Benoit as the central CB. Get a LW that can hold the width a contribute 7-10 goals. Nico Williams?
I think tge way to.get the best out of the players we have is to play Caicedo at RB. So have a back 4 of Colwil, Fofana, James and Caicedo. Caicedo inverts into the pivot next to Enzo so we have a 3/2 build up of Colwil, fofana, James as the back 3. Enzo and Caicedo as the pivot. Or Similar to what you said but Have James at RB inverting into the right 8 position instead of the pivot. Caicedo can drop into the pivot so.that they swap. Having James that far forward with his attacking ability would be sick. I think Gusto is good enough to do this as well. What ever Maresca does I am Cautiously optimistic about next season. I think he Will most likely play Caicedo as one of the 8s tbh. A double 8 of Nkunku and Palmer.would be lethal attacking but would be far too weak in the defensive phase imo.
Could Rob Sanchez make a return? I absolutely hate how we spent 25 M's on him just to offload this summer. I hope Maresca can get a tune out of him somehow
Reece playing again like in Tuchel is a no for me. I want him inverted. Also, I don't want Caicedo deep, I want Enzo deep playing as a regista. Caicedo box to box like Kante. That Maresca system is not just about positioning but it's about overloading one side to create space in the other side. Enzo Caicedo can sometimes come close to each other and Reece moves high as a RM

One of the TH-camrs should be picked up to coaching Chelsea team. You arrange the team perfectly.
as a coach, it takes a lot more than understanding tactics to coach
