- Culture shock experiences and stories are a part of the life of all Indians in America or rather any person in a new place for the first time. This video is specific to the cultural shock instances for an Indian in USA for the first time. You will definitely be able to relate if you were an Indian in America on your own, for the first time.
All these stories is based on my personal experiences of when I was an Indian student in America on my own.

Too Good! One thing I have experienced and realized in the US is that when people say Hey, Wassup, or How's it goin, etc, when you meet them on the way, they don't expect a reply. As if it's a formality; kuch to kehna tha, keh diya, ab ta ta bye bye. :P

Rahul Achari I am a Oklahoman, we do this out of respect to acknowledge ones excistatance, and in return we relpy I'm going well how about you and they reply I doing well( even if you are not). We will listen to your hardships but hearing another complain about their life can become awkward. It does happen between Americans, it's rare, some people will tell their whole life story to complete strangers lol

People who are hungry at the airport and wish to eat usually end up buying Cheese Burger from McDonald or any other burger place. Don't do that if you are a vegetarian or are averse to the idea of eating Cow meat. Cheese burger or Cheese Sandwich means beef by default. That is first cultural shock for many people :P
Not all. But some burger places do have veggie burgers as well. ✌️

I've seen a bunch of people asking what an RSVP is. It means a confirmation that you will attend a location or event. This is usually communicated digitally. I think the actual letters stand for Respond Sil Vous plait. (French)

Hi Sonu, it is RSVP - meaning when you get any invitation you need to either accept or decline the invite and send response back to the host so they know how many guests to expect. The full form is Respondez Si'l vous plait.

To kya usa mein log mehmaan gin ke plates rakhte hain....is se behtar to hum hai agar expected guests se 60-70 upar bhi ho jayein to na koi bura manta hai aur na hi khana kam padta hai.

And, for whatever it's worth, I've lived in the USA for almost 50 years, and I've never been invited to, held, or been to a single black tie party - they exist and perhaps it's a regional and/or economic class thing (admittedly, I grew up poor, living first in a working-class suburb and then in a rural farming community), but that sort of party is not a routine or normal part of life for many Americans!

I dont think you really live in usa and you discriminate so much as if India has nothing and usa is the best. M not against any culture or place but u really try hard to look cool n its not gonna take you anywhere till learn to respect your own country. Plus the way you talk trying to speak in an accent, it actually looks dumb. And even if you do live in usa I think before going there you must have heard that the culture is very open. Im sorry to say but the way you put together the video it looked as if you made a stupid image for Indians. Hi. Culture shock hppens even in india, in same state in same caste. My caste follows some orthodox rules, in the same caste other family follow another set of rules, and feels grt themselves as if greatness of a family depend on number of orthodoxy rules. Funny but annoying more
