The Vivienne Westwood on Elle Fanning is breathtaking, I swoon. Pearls are horribly underrated. I think pearls are gorgeous. (Opals will always be my fav, tho). It fits Elle beautifully & that pale pink compliments her hair and skin. If it wasn't so beyond reproach, I'd be jealous!
At this point everyone who wears Dolce & Gabbana doesn‘t deserve the screentime from Luke, which is why I love how shady it cuts to the next person in this video 😂
Vivienne Westwood applause! I also loved the incredible layered blue gown with the blue gloves. Not everyone could wear it but this woman certainly did. I can't stop thinking about that color.
YES YES YES, I knew it was Elle Fanning, the moment i saw it, I knew Luke was going to make this video mostly cause of her. The custom VW inspired by Catherine and her love of pearls....mwah *Chefs Kiss* stunning! Elle fanning is The fashion girl, love her so much.
I LOVE that after so long talking the talk about wanting more interesting menswear choices, Luke is walking the walk now that he has the budget for it, too. And turning it EVERY time. Snaps for you, Luke.
Totally echoing some else's suggestion - DO THE NFL DRAFT!!! the suits! The accessories! The looks!! Also Alan Kim and Thom Browne is what a collab should be ❤️
Elle Faanning dress is EVERYTHING! It is Just amazing: the right colour for her, the right shape, the right material! When colour and fit match the person the result is just perfection!
Oof, that Dior dress looks like that first garment that you make when you're learning to sew and it's your first time making a dress without using a retail pattern and you've never learned to draft a pattern or drape a dress before so you're just winging it and you're making the dress out of the scraps you have in a pile in your sewing room from 10 different projects. Aka, I made this dress when I was 9. I cannot get over the fact that it fits like it was made by a 9-year-old who hasn't yet figured out how to adjust the fit of a garment, not something made by one of the prestige fashion houses in the world. I certainly hope Dior made this dress (and any more like it) from scraps and leftover materials from previous collections, but is it really reducing textile waste if what you make from it is, itself, waste?
I haven't bought any clothing in over a year since I've been stuck inside all day. But seeing that blazer on Viola is making me want to get out there again! She looks like she runs a museum or manages an art school. *chefs kiss
I love your take on the baby bump silhouette! With my first pregnancy I was a bit embarrassed about my changing figure, but with my second, I went for it - so much fun! It is so different, and I'm glad I went for it and took the pictures. Not saying I was smug or anything, just embracing the new figure instead of being embarrassed and hiding it.
@@monicaangelini3324 If I were a celeb I wouldn't support a brand with racist Designers. In my opinion it reflects that the celeb doesn't care with whom they're associated with.
Viola looks fantastic! Her and Elle "won" the award with Alan Kim as a runner up. I also hate how many stylists are putting clients into D&G. I wonder how much they are paying to show up so much?
Hey Luke, I know it's not on brand for you, but I've been binging The Nanny (again) and it'll be so cool if you would break down some of Ms. Fine' best looks! Pretty please, with cherries on top?!!
If Annie Murphy was going for a kindergarten teacher eleganza, then she hit the marks. But yeah, save that hipster vibe for a late 20's midwest duplex house party where everyone's simply too "cool" to talk to each other.
I was hoping to see a video about the NFL draft this past weekend. I don't this he's done it before but there were some unique suits that I wanted more info about!
Luke I always love your videos and commentary but I kind of wish you did more fashion show reviews. Would love to see even more of those. But still, always excited to see a new video from you! ❤
Ngl I like that colourful dress. I'd nix the sleeves but. I have a hard time dressing for the office because brown shapeless linen isn't exactly profesh haha. So I could totally see trying to pull that off like "Look Mum, I'm a grownup now"
I just wanna tell you that, as a character designer, your videos really help me out and I'd love to see more videos of you really getting into the History of fashion :]
Hi Luke! Love your videos. Just wanted to make a request: can you please put timestamps in your videos? It makes it easier to watch the video (for me personally)
Viola Davis in that well-fitted, beautifully patterned suit was my favorite look. I could not wear it, not just because of the cost, but primarily due to me being too short (almost 6 inches shorter than Viola Davis) to carry off that look properly. Although if I could afford the suit, I probably could afford the alterations with the permission of Jonathan Anderson, of course.
Actually Luke that's not a corset, they're stays, similar to what Marie Antoinette wore, the difference is that they're straight, corsets came on the 19th century, they're curved because they were made with whale bones (which were flexible) , so essentialy Stays: \/ Corsets: >< That's the silhouette Vivienne Westwood always used on her designs, the 17th/18th century one

I agree
That pink metallic fabric shows EVERYTHING. The fact that you can't see the understructure of the corset is incredible ! I'm shook 😍🤯

I think the same
its probably because the structure is sewn into the lining, i did the same for my project
elle's look is one of the best of the entire awards season, didn't stop thinking about it for a good few days tbh
At this point everyone who wears Dolce & Gabbana doesn‘t deserve the screentime from Luke, which is why I love how shady it cuts to the next person in this video 😂

I'm going to say it now. I loved what elle fanning wore and nothing will change my mind ✨
Luke has been serving looks lately and I'm here for it😍✨✨
The Haute la Mess touch at 8:00 also is a nice addition ✨
He always serves looks😂😍

Luke's serving a better look than a good percentage of the celebrities whose outfits he's analyzing here 👏👏👏
😌😌
He ok about it 👍🏻👍🏻
When I saw Elle''s dress, ngl I gasped. It's so stunning!
You like
that vivianne westwood look! i am in AWE! IT'S SO GOOD!!!

You worded it! Just what I was thinking about
I loved the analysis of the Dolce Gabbana dress ✨
The Annie Murphy Dior look seems like something my middle school art teacher would've worn
Same
🤣🤣🤣
‘Vaffanculo they’re boring’ = quote of the month! 😍😍
the power in luke`s ensemble is astronomical .
Love this! You should look at the pass Spirit Awards carpets! They are usually on the beach and the fashion is super different for an awards show.

🤣 That last line was so good!

Luke cursing in Italian blessed my day 🙌
Hi
Si, forte
Annie Murphy's Dior dress reminds me of one of the dresses from Barbie Rapunzel...and I'm kind of into it 🤔
It's like a Moira dress if it went from b & w to boho colorscheme.

I can't believe that there are still celebs wearing D&G.
why? Have they stopped doing amazing designs?
@@monicaangelini3324 If I were a celeb I wouldn't support a brand with racist Designers. In my opinion it reflects that the celeb doesn't care with whom they're associated with.

Oh the joy I felt when Shira Haas wore something other than Chanel. Loved to see it, huge improvement
Elle Fanning's dress is so beautiful💜 and I absolutely love the caped jacket (not sure if this is the right term in english) you're wearing!❤
Thank you for just SKIPPING the DG look 🙄❤️

Agree on worst. Giving best to Westwood only because of one tiny strike against Loewe; absolutely didn't need black belt.
Okay Luke this look is GORGEOUS on you 😍😍
Hi
I saw many people with the same jacket you had, but, nobody looks as good as you, the way of your neck and chest and your arms, A-mazing

Definitely think bright or neon colors play off better against darker skin. The orange suits the actor wearing it.
Okay...you just won me with, “Rock the bump”. Thank you!
Yes! I loved that whole rant! It should be celebrated!
Head to toe inspo. This outfit is FIERCE
"Vaffanculo, you're boring" I AM DEAD

Elle fanning's look is everything
Vivienne westwood custom never disappoints
2nd look, the shoes look like the Harry Potter Vans collection. That's the vibe I'm getting. Slip ons with house crests.
He looks like Viktor Krum lmao
Elle Fanning's dress is shinier than my future 😭 It is gorgeous though
Viola Davis in that well-fitted, beautifully patterned suit was my favorite look. Answer when you receive it
The nine seconds devoted to Maria Bakalova and Dolce & Gabbana made me piss in my pants with laughter. Nine seconds, people. Nine.
Oh Yes Ms.Pam you can't play in our face no more this is THE STANDARD FOR NOW ON
LOVE IT
Bless you for watching the Spirit Awards. If you thought the Oscars viewership was low...
Black belt in Karate 😂😂😂😂😂😂
ELLE FANNING’s LOOK. YES JUST YES.
The cut from the celebs wearing dolce gabbana 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You need to react to Billies Newest Vogue shoot 🤩🤩 STUNNING
Annie Murphy‘s dress reminds me of a Renaissance peasant’s costume
The Viola Davis's outfit also had a belt patterned into the suit jacket which I think was a fun touch on the idea of a belted waist.
I have like twenty posts in my instagram saves only about Elle's VW pearl dress.
We believe in Elle fanning supremecy
NOOOO Talia Ryder looks AMAZING
Ok so just for your edification Kenny Scharf should never be confused for Disney. Keep up the good work.
Oh yes! Amazing way to start my week off!! 🙌
Annie Murphy's dress is giving me coat of many colors Dolly Parton and that makes me love it and I think the green shoe is cute 💚
Your "vaffanculo" just killed me🤣
That coat/jacket, mama, but in a different color is on my to buy list as of now
Omg your outfit is sooo gorgeous
Imo elle looked amazing in that dress, loved it
the moment i saw elle fanning i thought oh yeah luke's gonna love this lol
YES for the AO look!!!
And loved the italian "Vaffan..." elegantly thrown in at 13:24 😂
love how you're like dolce and gabbana... next
Annie Murphy looks like one of the Sanderson sisters in Hocus Pocus. 🥴🧙🏻♀️
the fact that he skipped over Maria Bakalova's dolce and gabanna look THAT QUICK was so funny JKDHSAKDSAKFHK
Hi
Not the kids menu 💀💀💀
Annie Murphy's dress looks like it could be worn by a wacky female character in a kid's tv show.
Lmfao that Dior dress came right out of a family dress-up box.
It’s the the roast between parentheses for me 💀
I like how Alan Kim´s look -he´s a child- is so much better than Reese´s Oscars look
