    In New Jersey black bears are practically big as a German Shepherd. But don't underestimate their strength by their size. For black bears just being intimidating by making yourself big and noisy. They even run from barking dogs.

    I've seen a couple black bears here in Eastern Oregon Northern Eastern Oregon that is lol. Although I don't know if any bear related deaths in this area I know very well to take precautions while camping
