One detail wrong: Caeleb is awesome, but he can't surface at 15 meters under 4 seconds. It's under 5 seconds, which is still INSANE. Like that 41 inch vertical.
Hes fast because 1 his reaction time is the best 0.69 2 his underwaters go all the way to 15 meters 3 his strokes are fast and powerful 4 his finish is great The weakest part of his race is prob the turn even though its still fast
I'd say his turns are one of the best. How can they not be? He dominated scy when he was a collegiate swimmer. Also, a lot of elite swimmers go to 15 meters, so it's not just getting there, he simply does it faster. If anything his stroke would be his weakest attribute (except for fly), but even that is world class, and definitely above other elite athletes
Reda, thanks for reaching back out. I appreciate your interest. I was in Rio myself covering the Olympics. It can be confusing about how they award medals, but here's what I learned. An athlete may not swim the final relay but if he is on the relay team and it wins gold, he wins gold, too. That's why Caeleb won a second gold medal in Rio. Here's one reference, information you'll see on many reliable websites: swimswam.com/bio/caeleb-dressel
Stop picking on the narrator! She sounds nice almost like Hoda Kotb. She's making it interesting for non-swimmers with her method of speaking. We need non-swimmers to get interested in the sport.
CALM DOWN EVERYONE Caeleb doesn't have an individual world record. He has individual records in SHORT COURSE YARDS. He doesn't race SHORT COURSE METERS (yet), and he is close to world records in LONG COURSE METERS
2:32 what is this guy even talking? the line we are looking for? he crouches like everybody else in the world does. Also that specific line doesnt even do anything. Even crazier that he is so good with that nonsense the coach is talking.
I will agree, his comment about no bubbles in the hands, really? It's not about any of that, its more about the power and the acceleration of swinging his arms forward to pull again, and longevity of his streamlines. You start talking about bubbles in hands and lines of starting block pose, I'm out of here.
Maybe he’s fast, because he’s one of the greatest swimmers in the world, or maybe it’s because he destroyed a gas station bathroom and claimed that he’s was jumped and mugged while on his way home after the 2016 Olympics! Oh oops! That was Ryan Lochte! Sorry Caeleb! My bad!
A second in sprints is an enormous amount lead, you know that, right? Last world's he beat the crap out of everyone he went up against including Kyle Chalmers so the title is somewhat appropriate don't you think?
I don’t think anyone on planet earth could have been less prepared or unappreciative of being in the presence of the greatest sprinter on the planet
DO NOT WATCH WITH HEADPHONES
horrible xD
My ears are in pain
got mono headphones
ah

Sergent salty Lol
It’s so annoying!!!
best comment i've ever seen
Bruh the narrarator is annoying tho. She doesn't know what she's talking about and most of the diagrams are wrong.
Dressel is clearly a freak athlete. A very rare specimen. What swimmer besides him even has a 41 inch vertical leap!? That's insanity!
most elite sprinters are In the 40s

MrVpassenheim shut up u suck
Ryan Jurgensen how ??? Insulting someone because they corrected a mistake ? You’re a dumbass lol.
dude, he was just stating correct facts
Ryan Jurgensen You sounds like a 5 year old
Yeah
Wait, weren't they supposed to bring this full circle to an analogy to football, maybe like quick off the line or something.. oh well
He's fast because he works hard
Whoever cut and edited this, must’ve been their first unsupervised job? 🤷♂️
Hes fast because
1 his reaction time is the best 0.69
2 his underwaters go all the way to 15 meters
3 his strokes are fast and powerful
4 his finish is great
The weakest part of his race is prob the turn even though its still fast
0.69 is not that fast, about avg. I would say
@Bryson Reins the reaction time is the time from the buzzer to the swimmer leaving the block
I'd say his turns are one of the best. How can they not be? He dominated scy when he was a collegiate swimmer. Also, a lot of elite swimmers go to 15 meters, so it's not just getting there, he simply does it faster. Watching this kid, now man, become the swimmer that he is has been amazing.
Why are the different audio recordings that were used all limited to one speaker/headphone, and different ones at that? So weird
@3:10 that’s not quite 15 meters
Braden Gentry lmao they aren’t swimmers that was like 10 meters
Billy Bob it is 10 meters...
@@billybob6604 first yellow so 10 meters
That is 15m, the first yellow on long course pools are 15 meters...
50 meter pool mayhaps?

Next thing you know, there are gonna be dressel goggles and dressel suits

Look how wide he is.

Syamim Izat nope he's not, 💫
Not yet
But soon
almost
Tenhead He’s the fastest man in SCY. But hasn’t proved to being the fastest man in LCM yet

She's making it interesting for non-swimmers with her method of speaking.
We need non-swimmers to get interested in the sport.
For someone that doesn't follow swimming much, she sure did a pretty good job hitting all the main points of Caeleb, he is a powerhouse!
So humble
3:15 that’s not 15 meters that’s 10 are you serious
There are over exaggerating, it’s around 5 seconds. And it’s yards not meters.
“monster arms” she should see dressel now
I kinda liked this feature.
Does Dreesel ever swim the 200m freestyle?
Yes
Not alot
48.8 at nationals so fast
jesus fix your audio is bad
The sound on this is atrocious
pressure building up. hope he dont choke in Tokyo 2020
Facts, he’s amazing he can win a bunch

He's fast because he's strong as fuck and built like a football player
audio is ASSSSSSSSS
It was Because he windmilled the whole race.
In the video of the 50 free ncaa it says “17.63!!!!”
Is his record for 50 free in meters or yards

Its 50yards
Fire the narrator immediately
That isnt 15 meters 3:10
He is hilarious
He have perfect starts, but seem as he swims freestyle by brute power and not by style when moves arms straight from backward to forward.
What is that supposed to mean
Sprint technique should have straighter arms
Not true. His style is fine for sprinting. What matters most is what happens under the under with his catch and pull; that’s where the power is
He has a windmill style, which is what all of the top sprinters use now.
@@ccbgaming6994 Straight arm is only for the 50 - even the 100 recovering with a high elbow is superior (Pan Zhanle, DP).
i love you caleeb hahahahah
Actually he is some point seconds faster but that’s a big deal I’m swimming
HGH

better than phelps
He is the first caeleb dressel

How terrible the editing and sound mixing. You definitely need to learn how to edit. Is constructive criticism, A bit rough but you need honesty
My bad!

They fucked up the sounds
He’s got braces
The narrator is just lame.
A little bit too much. So he beats the others with around a second, and sometimes lose to Andrew, but suddenly he is amphibious... bs.

Reda Chekroune he swam prelims for the medley relay so he got a gold for that
