I actually liked the 24v71 the most. I've always liked Detroit 2 stroke diesels but that 2471 took the cake. A building that our church owns has a Detroit powered gen-set. The engine powering the gen-set is a 16v149..

Only one of these engines was actually unusual, the bacterial spores engine. All the others were entirely normal engines but in mildly unusual configurations. Also somebody pull the fuse from that G*d-awful robot voice and let us actually hear the engines.
