Insane and I would also throw some element of underscore-esque horror in there too. This album is almost like wallsocket 2.0 to me (just without the occasional comic relief but the psychedelia more than makes up for it)
Worth noting that while Matt is behind a lot of the bolts on a lot of the production, they both together work on it with ideas coming from both of them, including final arrangements.
Theyre such a talented duo!! Something to note if youre thinking of discovering Mercurial World as well, it also is full of perfect transitions, and while it perfectly loops in on itself, the last track also transitions into the first track of Imaginal Disk! creativity coming out of every pore from these two
Image really snuck up on me I thought it was kinda just okay when the single first released but now I find myself craving that song specifically throughout the day. My favorite song is Cry for Me though
@@natekyngcole Couldn't agree more, even with Cry for Me being my favorite. That is legit one of the best songs ever and I'm not the only one saying that!
I'm so glad you enjoyed this album!! Mercurial World, the other full album of Magbay's, was my favourite before this one. They're such amazing artists Cry For Me did its job when I listened, I teared up on that middle bridge
Curious if your opinion changes at all on the beginning of the album. Image was actually the first song that really drew me in, and it was hard to get deeper into the album because I kept wanting to re-listen to it. It's still one of my favorites but that's a difficult designation considering how good every track is.
If I had to guess where our taste differs, id guess how much you enjoy mica's vocals, and how impactful the detailed and rich production is on you. If those things don't connect with you then yea albums just decent.
I make music as well, would mean a lot if you checked it out - open.spotify.com/track/4KXwjwD8XRqaXDNDFuSGuJ?si=39c7683f7cd2461e
Thanks for the reaction homie! One of my albums of the year for sure! The blend of psychedelia and pop is so unique

imho there is also some massive prog rock influence in there too!
on the topic of seamless transitions, the final song from their previous album leads perfectly into the first song of this one
Worth noting that while Matt is behind a lot of the bolts on a lot of the production, they both together work on it with ideas coming from both of them, including final arrangements.
Estos jovenes la rompieron con este albun, exelente y original por donde se lo mire....y totalmente adictivo¡¡¡
Yeah this album 😩😩😩😩😩😩😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫
Also yeah I agree, for me I feel like this album REALLY starts after the first interlude
The way i really felt JOY and ALIVE when i listened this album.
album of the year right here! great video my man
Happy to hear/see another lover of their music. ;-)
The transition @ 12:38 was my exact reaction too, lmao.

The final tracks are so amazing. Just all around a perfect album
had the exact same reaction to the vampire in the corner - tunnel vision 3 track run, best run i've heard in a while
If you haven't listened to their previous album, Mercurial World, I would love to see a reaction to that as well. It's the same level of greatness. 🔥🔥
This is my second favorite album of the 2020s so far. It's immaculate.
What’s #1?

Image will definitely grow on you. Also, you should check out the music videos, their creativity isn't limited to the music either!
@@IMJDI I watched death and romances music video and that was great

Would recommend their whole discography honestly. Even from the early days.
KATAMATI DAMACY LEVELS OF GREATNESS.
Nah this album has been a repeat listen now since its release. Dunno what my favourite track is👏👏

Thank you for reacting to this❤
You should definitely react to their first album “mercurial world” !!
Is this what crack feels like? So addicting
Lol the glance behind you
Peak peak peak peak
feels like the video and the music is misaligned.
for lack of a better phrase

Repeatedly trashes "Image" in the review. Titles it "Zero misses" 🧐
@@NorthsideGanksta how did I repeatedly trash it 😭? I gave my opinions on the song and it’s still not a bad song
I cannot handle the skipping around, especially on music like this which shifts so constantly.
unfortunately I have to do that
I think it’s a decent album, but not a masterpiece, and even after 3 listens to this album, I still don’t understand the hype.
@@curly_wyn it’s not a masterpiece but it’s amazing

@@jonathanard7885I don’t like her voice that much but it’s not bad, a little too upfront in the mix. The production I just find a little sterile.
