I'm 63 years old now and I've always loved woodworking , nice work young man ..I've been doing woodworking sense I was a teenager and I'm in the Philippines now , I learned bamboo here .
Thank you sir 🙏 That's awesome! We had actually looked at planting bamboo on the land so we could build with it but didn't have the patience to wait for it to grow. We love the bamboo structures people build. We definitely want to do some in the future I just don't know how far off that will be.
Those table size slices were/are beautiful. It was a good call not to let it rot. Wow, your place is really nice. You are so strong. And she is so cool. Cooks, cuts fire wood, makes fire, hold stuff. You 2 are great together.
Nice little cabin. But next project I would suggest adding the bathroom and toilet and it will be a perfect little winter getaway. Also a roof deck in the summer.

Thanks, we did it as a temporary solution at first but they worked great, it was 1 canvas drop cloth for painting we used for all the windows. Nothing better than hot noodles on a cold day. Keep watching our videos and you won't be disappointed 🙂 Best regards 🇺🇸
Good you built covered wood shed. Your a good builder. Those battery operated powe tools are invaluable. Must be nice to have a good woman helping you. Plus she's easy on the eyes
The two of you work well together. I have heated several cabins and canvas tents with wood stoves. I suggest the addition of a $5 damper to your pipe. This will help control the rate of burn, reduce wood consumption, allow fewer sleep interruptions, and possibly a bed of coals in the morning to start a new day.
Definitely a good suggestion. I bought a cast iron damper for it but during the building process I misplaced it. We're not using the stove now that it's warmed up but if I don't find it soon I'll buy another one.

When drawing it I kept adding and making it bigger but we had time and money budgets so I just asked myself what do we have to have and not have to have and kept only what we had to have. It's just a retreat, not our house. Thanks for watching!
Have you ever heard of the phrase," if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all"? Because what you said was a "back handed compliment", meaning it was unnecessary and kind of rude. Its like saying "yours is nice, but mine is better ." So now that he told you why his cabin is "smaller than your closet," do you feel better? He has just made a nice little place to start, where he and his wife can have quiet, serene nights away from it all. It's just the two of them, and they can build onto it down the line. There's room enough to eat , sleep and relax, and that's all they need. Any way, I watch several channels with cabins, or "dugout cabins" And they are all about that size. I thought I would share a few of those channels so you or anyone else can see that the man who built this cabin is not the only person who built small. I enjoy watching channels, like this one, I actually enjoy small spaces, i want to build one of my own one day, and in the meantime i can live a little vicariously through all of these builders who share their little home away from homes with all of us. Since you and possibly some other people have not seen cabins as small as this one, i thought I'd share a couple other of my favorite favorite channels; (Girl in the woods, Alex Wild, Alone with wildlife, Forest expanses, Lesnoy_craft, Living in the Siberian Forest, Truck life and Living Wilderness; crafts and skills.) Look them up, they also have built very small cabins. Each one offers a new way of doing things, and they all give people like me ideas for when i have one of my own little cabins to enjoy peace and quiet and nature at its finest. ❤🌎
We were planning to but at this point it isn't really necessary with how much heat the space retains so it's dropped to the bottom of our list of priorities.
An amazingly beautiful build. Lovely videography. Talented folks. Love the combination of power and hand tools. My only negative would be the wasted space over the porch under the roof. It looks nice but I would have incorporated that into your living area.
Yeah we were 50/50 on doing that and now I regret not doing it. With hindsight I wish the top was loft and the bottom half was a mudroom/entry area. I'll probably enclose it eventually because the roof coverage does nothing but idk if I'll cover it with sheeting or some temporary wrap around side like clear tent fabric that rolls up or something.

YOU GUYS DID A GREAT JOB. YOU CAN ADD A BATHROOM WITH A TOILET, SINK AND SHOWER REAL EASY. DIG A DEEP HOLE FOR A SEPTIC TANK. YOU CAN GET ALL PLUMBING, ITEMS AND PVC PIPES ETC AT HOME DEPOT OR A PLACE LIKE THAT. JUST ADD ON THAT EXTRA ROOM TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF YOUR CABIN. TILE THE SHOWER AND BATHROOM FLOOR.
Incredible workmanship.. for the both of you. Suggestion: place some tin roof skirting around the cabin.. it will do 2 things.. 1 protect you from cold darfts blowing under the flooring.. no cold feet in winter... 2nd it will keep critters away. or alternatively.. you can place large size rocks from the property and place it as skirting.

We've got the bathroom in the other structure. We do need some covered outdoor space though, we'll do it sometime this year.

An amazingly beautiful build. Lovely videography. Talented folks. Love the combination of power and hand tools. My only negative would be the wasted space over the porch under the roof. It looks nice but I would have incorporated that into your living area.
Yeah we were 50/50 on doing that and now I regret not doing it. With hindsight I wish the top was loft and the bottom half was a mudroom/entry area. I'll probably enclose it eventually because the roof coverage does nothing but idk if I'll cover it with sheeting or some temporary wrap around side like clear tent fabric that rolls up or something.

Good afternoon, what an amazing job you’re both doing ! The furniture build was spectacular, the way you cut those out. It made it look so easy to do. Love the way you both work together ! The meals, I think I gain a few pounds just looking at all the delicious meals ! Beautiful location, keep up the great work & keep smiling !

YOU GUYS DID A GREAT JOB. YOU CAN ADD A BATHROOM WITH A TOILET, SINK AND SHOWER REAL EASY. DIG A DEEP HOLE FOR A SEPTIC TANK. YOU CAN GET ALL PLUMBING, ITEMS AND PVC PIPES ETC AT HOME DEPOT OR A PLACE LIKE THAT. JUST ADD ON THAT EXTRA ROOM TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF YOUR CABIN. TILE THE SHOWER AND BATHROOM FLOOR.

Incredible workmanship.. for the both of you.
Suggestion: place some tin roof skirting around the cabin.. it will do 2 things.. 1 protect you from cold darfts blowing under the flooring.. no cold feet in winter... 2nd it will keep critters away. or alternatively.. you can place large size rocks from the property and place it as skirting.
Thank you 🙏 Yeah we plan on doing skirting, we haven't decided what type of material to use yet. Metal roofing is a good idea, rocks from the property was my first idea though since it's free. We'll see. Thanks for watching!
